Red flashed in his mind. A primal rage taking control. A scream echoed and blood spilled. Splattered against white and black fur.

Heavy breath. Fear. Adrenaline. Blood rushing to fuzzy feline ears.

It had felt so cathartic. A sense of triumph and power. Claws dripping an offender's blood. Free of the torment they inflicted.

But then rationality returned. Fear set in harder than ever. Ears flattened back.

Before he could think further something small and sharp pricked his neck. The world started to whirl and eventually the large furry body toppled to the ground.

"He's a menace! THEY'RE a menace! Everyone of these monsters! You see what he did to my boy? This… this animal!" A shrill voice babbled on, assaulting the barely awake ears of the aforementioned 'animal'.

The ground was cold to the touch. Metal in nature…. apparently he was now an onlooker from a cage. Listening as this woman claimed he should be 'put down'.

But soon a pair burst in. A man and a woman…. His parents.

"More animals!" The woman shrieked. Pointing at the couple, two seemingly human people… albeit the orange hair with black streaks told what they truly were.

"Now, listen here! Our Ryou did nothing wrong! That boy of yours probably deserved it!" There was a growl in his mother's voice.

"Just like a beast to say that! Barbaric!" The other woman snapped.

And as the arguing continued the young beast curled in on himself. Block out the sound. Hide from it all. That's about all the white tiger wanted now.

His father moved from the arguing women and knelt near his caged son. "Hey there, champ…." his voice was soft but strong, encouraging. "Don't you worry, okay? This isn't your fault. I know you wouldn't hurt anyone without good reason."

Red eyes peaked from behind fuzzy arms. Fur moist from tears as he stared at his father. No words escaped him but he seemed to ease up a little, comforted by the man.

His father smiled before getting up and going back to his wife. Helping to talk things out amongst adults.

Eventually Ryou was in the backseat of the family's car. Soon after, home. But that would be the only familiarity soon. He was being kicked out of his school, forced to find a new place of education.

Author notes: I call this my Beast(s) AU it was inspired by like zootopia and astroboy and a few other things. Basically I like to explore a fictional world where humans co-exist with non-humans. (so focus on the fantasy, it's not supposed to be an allegory hgjhgj) Also last time i was here i forgot to say im crossposting from my ao3, goroakechilover69 lmao.
