Hi everyone! How are you?

First, I would like to thank you for the reviews, favorites and follows! Thank you, I'm really happy!^^

Well, this is the third chapter, and I just have one more written, so starting today I will ask everyone for some patience regarding the post of new chapters.

I hope that you enjoy this new chapter! Have fun!

"What is your problem?!" Shouted Mai, immediately getting down from the toy, the boy just raised an eyebrow, as if saying 'Are you talking to me?'. "Normal people don't stare... stare...you understand me!"

"Normal adults of your age don't climb on a child's toy and play the violin." Replied the boy, crossing his arms. "And it's not my fault if the wind lifted your skirt. You should pay more attention to the things you do."

A vein of irritation popped over Mai's forehead, "Who did that guy think he was?!" Immediately she walked towards the boy who remained there, the stoic expression never left his face, which happened to be very attractive, but unfortunately that was just a detail in the midst of the fury that the girl felt at the moment.

"For your information I knew perfectly well where I was going up and what kind of clothes I was wearing!" She said, stopping in front of the stranger. "Even so, decent people don't keep looking at what's under a girls' skirt!"

"And what's the difference between seeing it or not when everyone knows what's underneath?"

"Are you some kind of pervert who tries to use a distorted logic to confuse your victims?!"

"And are you some kind of exhibitionist who plays the violin even though you know there is a possibility of someone seeing your underwear?"

"Enough! I'll call the police! Freaks like you shouldn't be wandering around in parks where the kids come to play." Shouted the girl ready to get her cell phone, when she remembered that the object was in the violin case.

"I should be the one calling the police." Said the boy without changing his tone. "Exhibitionists like you are a bad example for humanity."

The two looked at each other in a way that seemed to be preparing for a second round of arguments, when Mai heard her cell phone ring, which made her run towards the place where she had left it. The ringtone wasn't conventional, unlike people who put on sung songs or the ringtones that came on cell phones, the girl's cell phone played a short piece of music that the boy would recognize anywhere.

"Ayako?" Said the girl on the phone. "You are in front of my house?! No... I... I had to go out and buy some...to buy rice! Hmm? No! Of course I went straight home! Ughhh ...ok...see you soon…"

Mai ended the call and sighed, Ayako would surely wait in front of her house ready to give a piece of her mind...great, just great.

"The ringing of your cell phone...it was a song played by Oliver Davis."

Mai turned to face the boy she was arguing with a few seconds ago, who was now only a few feet away from her. When had he approached?

"Yes…? As far as I know we are free to choose the music that we want as our ringtone." Mai said closing the violin case. "And honestly, I like this mashup of classical songs that he made. It was one of the last songs he played before he stopped performing."

"So...you are a fan?"

"Got a problem?" Asked the girl, raising an eyebrow.

"You have good taste." Replied the boy, a smile on the corner of his lips, as if he knew something she didn't.

"Well, I think it's the first thing we agree."

"Why didn't you choose some of Eugene Davis' songs? After all, you are a violinist."

"I just…" Suddenly Mai stopped talking, and stared at the boy in front of her as if she finally remembered who she was talking to. "I don't have to answer your questions! I don't even know you! And as far as I know you might as well be a pervert!"

The boy sighed impatiently before speaking again.

"And you could be an exhibitionist, but here we are, talking. And if you were so concerned about your safety, you shouldn't have even confronted me."

"Ugh...he's right…" Thought Mai. "I need to think more before acting…"

"Okay, let's try again. I'm Taniyama Mai." The damage was already done, so for mere education she would introduce herself, maybe they just started with the wrong feet...

"And why should I tell you my name?" Asked the stranger.

"I already told you mine, so what's the problem?"

"Minutes ago you were almost calling the police, I don't see any positive reasons for providing you with a name."

...or maybe not.

"Look, I'm sorry." Great now she was apologizing. "But I was annoyed because... well ...we've discussed it."

The boy sighed, probably.. just a name wouldn't kill him.

"Shibuya Kazuya." He said at last. "I cannot say it was a pleasure to meet you."

"This is going to be the second thing we agree." Replied Mai. "How can a person who is so handsome be so annoying?"

"... do you think I'm handsome?" Asked Shibuya, ignoring the rest of Mai's sentence.

"Aren't you?" She answered frankly. "Good part of the female population would throw themselves at your feet."

"Seems like your taste in man are as good as you taste in music."

"You are really cocky!" Exclaimed the girl with flushed cheeks. "But you should know that inner beauty also counts a lot!"

"However it is not the first thing that people see in each other. The first thing I see in the morning is my reflex."

"Definitely a narcissist !" Mai shouted in her thoughts. "That's it! His name is not Shibuya Kazuya, but Naru, the narcissist!"

Mai's cell phone rang again, taking the girl out of her thoughts, and when she saw her doctor's name on the screen again, she cursed. Ayako was going to kill her.

"Well, it was a displeasure to meet you Shibuya-san!" The Taniyama said, turning her back on the boy. "I hope I don't see you around!"

And without waiting for any response, the violinist ran to the exit of the park, leaving an intrigued Shibuya Kazuya behind.

As soon as Mai arrived at her house, without the package of rice she swore she had gone to buy, she came across with a not so happy red-haired woman she called her doctor. The rest of the night Mai was scolded by Ayako.

When Shibuya Kazuya returned to the apartment where he lived, he was immediately greeted by the question:

"Where were you?"

His blue eyes stared at the 30-year-old Chinese man, before looking in the direction of the digital wall clock.

"I'm fine, and it's only 8 p.m Lin."

"Where. Were. You?" He repeated.

Kazuya closed his eyes and sighed.

"I was in the park."

Koujo Lin crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, waiting for the rest of the story.

"You are not my parents"

"I can call them if that's a problem."

"...I was in the park discussing how we should behave in public and if the police should be called in some cases." He said at last, before heading to his room, he definitely wanted to keep the rest of the conversation he had with Taniyama Mai a secret.

Lin just saw the bedroom door close. He sighed. Probably he wouldn't want to know in what context it fit.

Unfortunately or fortunately, Taniyama Mai and Shibuya Kazuya meet a week after the incident in the park. The girl was working in a cafe inside a two-story office building when she heard the doorbell announce a new customer.

"Welco…"

Dark hair and blue eyes, and just like the last time, he wore black clothes. The women in the establishment turned their gaze to the newcomer, muttering to each other about the boy's appearance.

"... what are you doing here?" Mai asked behind the counter.

"What people usually do in a coffee shop, have a meal." Replied Shibuya. "Is that how you treat your customers? Your boss definitely doesn't know how to choose employees."

"Only those who irritate me are treated in a special way," Said the Taniyama, smiling wryly. "And my boss is a lovely person who likes to give chances to everyone. What would you like, Shibuya-san?"

"Tea."

"Ok...be more specific. What flavor of tea? We have a tea menu here." Mai said pointing to one of the parts of the menu. "We have the option of hibiscus and lemon iced tea now, in case you are interested."

"Earl grey." He replied without even seeing the menu.

"Anything else? We are famous for our donuts."

"Only tea."

"What happened to the meal's part?"

"It's what people normally come for, not necessarily everyone."

"So...we can say that you do not fit among normal people."

"No, I'm superior."

"You are an egocentric." Said the violinist, placing the cup of tea in front of the boy. "And a narcissist too."

"Thank you for stating the obvious." Shibuya replied taking the cup of tea and going to one of the tables near the glass windows of the coffee shop.

"A friend?"

The short sentence loaded with the kansai accent made Mai turn to face a blond boy a few years older, who smiled at her amicably. John Brown was a former Australian priest, who now owned a cozy little coffee shop in the middle of Tokyo, due to his love for Japanese culture.

"We know very well that I would never be friends with someone as arrogant as him. We are completely opposite poles. "Said the Taniyama.

"Well, they say that opposites attract each other…"

"Ugh John...really…?"

The blonde smiled and was about to say something when he was interrupted by a baby's cry. The child's mother did everything to calm the child, but without success. Mai heard John mutter something about children's toys, but the girl already had another idea. Leaving the counter to John, Taniyama went to the piano that was next to the tables by the window. Ignoring Shibuya's presence, Mai sat down in front of the piano and started playing a simple lullaby.

Everyone's eyes focused on the girl who was extremely focused, she hadn't played the piano in years, so she hoped that the little slips she was making would go unnoticed by the audience. When the child stopped crying and started laughing, Mai sighed mentally, her plan to calm the child with music had worked.

Applause echoed over the coffee and Mai bowed in thanks, but when she looked up, she found blue orbs staring at her, as if analyzing her.

"What is it?" She asked, approaching the table.

"You play the piano too." Said Kazuya.

"Well, I haven't played in years, but I remember the basics."

"I can say that I am impressed, but I can also point out every mistake you made."

"I make your words mine, I am impressed that there was such an arrogant person in this world." Replied Mai crossing her arms. "And if you can do better, the piano is free."

Shibuya closed his eyes and took another sip of his tea before answering.

"I don't play anymore."

"Why?"

"And why did you switch the piano for the violin?"

"I had my reasons," Said Mai.

"So do I." Said Kazuya.

Taniyama raised her eyebrow not at all impressed by the response she had received.

"I know that I'm handsome, but could you stop staring at me and bring me another cup of tea?" Commented the boy raising his empty cup.

Mai rolled her eyes, definitely Shibuya Kazuya was impossible.

"A cup of Earl Gray coming out, Naru…"

For a moment the two youngsters stopped, Mai needed just a second to realize that she had called the boy by the nickname she used in her thoughts, and Kazuya by the surprise of hearing such a name.

"...what did you call me?"

"Ah...uhh…"

"You called me…'Naru'."

"...wellll...it is...Naru...you know... diminutive for narcissist…" Mai replied stuttering.

He said nothing for a few moments, they stared at each other until the boy finally shrugged.

"Mai. Tea."

"And who gave you the right to call me by my first name?" She asked, her cheeks flushed.

"You called me 'Naru', so it's fair call you by 'Mai'."

Without saying anything else the girl left, she would not cause a scene in the middle of work, but if she had the displeasure to see him in another place ...

"Don't forget the tea." Naru repeated.

...ah... she would definitely make him listen to all her complaints.

Soooo, I hope that you had fun reading this first interaction between those two!^^

I kind of had fun writing it.

Till next chapter!^^
