1This is really short, but I wanted to get it out here.
In Episode 59, Lost Light, Roy goes through the Portal of Truth, and loses his sight. But what no one seems to mention is that he also got Wrath's swords stabbed through his hands. There are so many muscles and nerves in the hands, and there's no way he didn't have some sort of permanent damage from it. I know Dr. Marcoh probably healed that when he healed Roy's eyes, so this is a bit AU, but you know. Enjoy!
Hands
Sometimes he has trouble writing. On those days, Hawkeye doesn't mention paperwork and helps him work through hands-free tasks.
Today is one of those days – his hands are shaking and he has trouble feeling them. Hawkeye subtly moves the papers and pen away and lays out a map. "Where should we send the Ishval relief crews first?" she asks, her amber eyes crinkling in sympathy. Roy leans over and studies the map carefully.
"Let's clear the farm towns first. They'll need income, after all."
"Very good, sir." They spend hours hunched over the map, working out snarls in their plans. And when Roy's hands stop shaking, she nudges a pen into his hand and he absently scrawls his signature onto a form.
It's clumsier than before, and it will never quite be the same. But maybe, he can get used to this new normal.
