Al– Zeus is still working on his precious virus. I swear that he thinks the project is more important than his life. I've been here for six months and I'm tired of seeing this shitty place. So many study sessions. So many sleepless nights. You know "Zeus", Hestia and Hephaestus are probably getting wasted already.
If me working is bothering you, then go home. It's Halloween, isn't it? You should celebrate.
And what? Leave you here in this lab by yourself? If that bitch is as nasty as you say, I'm sticking by you until I find a way to get rid of her.
I knew that I could count on you. You're the only one I can trust...
I know.
...
So what are you you doing with Blacklight?
I'm reconstructing the viral structure so that it recognizes my DNA. A backup plan, I suppose you can say.
And by backup...
If I'm going to die, someone is going with me. Blacklight has a ninety-nine point nine percent death rate, so if I adjust it according to my DNA, the theory is that I would be one of the point one percent to not die. Remember that blood sample I took from you when you first got here? I already synchronized it with Blacklight. If the virus were to get out into the open, you should be fine.
"Should". That's very comforting.
Again, it's theory. It's not like I can test it on you. I'm not entirely sure that you wouldn't die if I had. Commencing test trials would also let Pandora know what I'm up to and I don't want to give her an edge. Now if only I can do the same with Redlight...
You think that bitch might use it against us?
It's definitely a possibility. She's clever, and anything with the slightest chance of working is best to be prepared for. Redlight might not have reached it's potential, but it's still a very dangerous viral weapon.
Then I'll work on getting you a sample. There's this guy from her project that had his eyes on me since I got here. It should be easy.
Thank you. And... be careful. I don't have anyone else to rely on.
I know. And I will.
