Hello! I loved Frozen 2 so much that I just had to write a story about it! This one shot is an AU where Thor, Loki, Hela, and Doctor Strange get transported to the Frozen universe and team up with Elsa to save Anna from some scheming idiot who messed with two wrong families and pays the price for it.
Hope you all like it! Probably not my best work, but I had the idea and just had to get it out!
"This is most promising! This prophecy states that her spirit will be mine!" Exclaimed Mephisto, the shape-shifting fiend that is always on the lookout for new spirits to add to his "collection". This one in particular was someone he would most enjoy tormenting for fun! Though the one giving him this information was one of his oldest enemies, so it was surprising he would come to him now.
"Of course. I always know you are on the lookout for new ones," said a man in the shadows who gave his old enemy this information for motives only he knows.
"Yes, but how you did find out about this?" Mephisto asked confused.
"The multiverse is infinite. I can access it anytime I wish and I found this information and gave it to you as a "thank you" for helping to make me who I am today," The man in the shadows said, hiding his disgust for the fiend.
"Well, aren't you generous? I'll tell Blackheart to kidnap her precious sister to lure her inside to my realm!" Mephisto said with glee. "Now I had better me off!" Mephisto said as he teleported away, not knowing this would be his last time in this dimension.
"Oh you will be," the man in the shadows said with a smirk beneath his metal mask. Keeping the world safe from this plague was necessary to ensure his will, and besides, he made the mistake of taking his mother from him. Now he just needed to send some "players" to help finish off the red fool for good.
"Are you sure this is a good idea, Strange?" Wong asked to Stephen as they were working on something called the "Orb of Teleportation" in the Sanctum Sanctorum to help make it easier for him and The Avengers get to places much easier and faster.
"Yes, Wong. You saw how fast Thanos nearly destroyed everything, and we need to be ready for more threats like him," Stephen said fining tuning the orb.
"Fair point," Wong said sighing.
"Wizard! It's good to see you! Thanks for inviting me and the "family"," Thor said as he came into the room with Loki and Hela. He was pretty much patched up with Loki, and was making some progress with Hela, but it was not as much as he would like though. So when the wizard asked if was interested in being a test taker of his orb, Thor and Loki agreed and dragged Hela too.
"Yeah, you too! Loki, it's good to see you too. And don't worry, you're removed from my watch list," Stephen said sarcastically while Loki rolled his eyes.
"That's nice. Perhaps I could return the favor someday? But for now, let's get on with it," Loki ordered, ready to get this over with.
"Yes, let's do it!" Hela exclaimed with glee. She was bored without any battles lately, and hoped this wizard would take them somewhere for a fight.
"Alright, Thor bring your brother and sister over to the orb, and I'll take us to some snowy mountains," Stephen commanded as the Asgardian siblings came over to him at the orb.
"I sure hope this will be a remarkable and life changing experience!" Thor exclaimed, not knowing it would be.
"Well, let's do it!" Stephen exclaimed as he activated the orb to take them to the same mountain cliff The Ancient One took him to. But a hidden spell went off in it and sent them to a mountain cliff, but not the one they were expecting.
"Um, wizard! Where are we?!" Thor asked panicking.
"This doesn't seem like our earth," Loki remarked how the whole environment looked odd, though they all looked the same.
"Where's the battle?!" Hela demanded to know.
"I have no idea. Wong, take us back," Stephen said, but there was no answer from Wong. Where are they?
"What's going on, wizard?" Thor asked, not having a clue what was going on.
"I'm not sure. Uh, let's go find some locals. Perhaps they could help us," Stephen said shrugging.
"Perhaps the situation will be fine?" Loki asked with high hopes everything would be okay.
"If there's a battle, then yes!" Hela exclaimed with more glee.
"Right, um, let's get going," Stephen said as they began to explore this strange place.
They saw people, but they didn't look fully human. However, Stephen deduced they were in another dimension. One part of the multiverse. He read about it during his training days at Kamar-Taj, but now he was getting to see it real time.
They all kept walking for a couple more hours before encountering a human, his reindeer, and a talking snowman.
"Hey, have you guys seen Anna?!" the man asked to these mysterious strangers who didn't look like they were from around here.
"Afraid not, who are you?" Stephen asked to these strange people. Who was Anna anyway?
"Oh right! I'm Kristoff. My reindeer is named Sven and this is Olaf," Krisoff said pointing towards his friends. Maybe these strangers could help them?
"Nice to meet you, snowman! I'm Thor!" Thor exclaimed while shaking Olaf's wooden hand.
"You too, in shape guy!" Olaf exclaimed at this almost god looking person.
"Interesting animal!" Hela said while placing her hand on Sven. If only Fenris was still here.
"You okay, sister?" Loki asked noticing how sad Hela looked in her eyes. She reminds him of what he was becoming before Thor helped him to see a new and better path. He just hoped Hela could see the same too.
"Of course!" Hela shouted, trying to disguise how much of a mess she was on the inside. Thor noticed this, but he didn't know how to bond with her like he did with Loki. Not like his father ever prepared him for her existence or what it would be bring.
"So what's going on again?" Stephen asked, forgetting what these odd people were doing out here.
"Looking for Anna! She disappeared three days ago! And Elsa disappeared last night!" Kristoff exclaimed in distress.
"I'm sorry, who's Elsa?" Stephen asked still confused.
"She's Anna's sister! After Anna went missing, Elsa blamed herself and no one's seen her since. Not the forest, Arendelle, anywhere!" Kristoff exclaimed again in distress.
"Oh, alright," Stephen said with a shrug. Please tell him there are no intergalactic douches here.
"I promise you new friends; we will let you know if we find either of them," Thor said with determination.
"Thanks! Hope to see you guys soon!" Olaf exclaimed as continued on with Kristoff and Sven with their journey to find their friends.
"That was weird," Stephen said, not really sure what was going on. He was hoping this "missing sister" business was just something local and not the work of some of the big threats of the multiverse he read about.
"Even so wizard, we gave them our word we would help if we could," Thor said, never one to take back a promise.
"Yes, but perhaps we could find some shelter for the night? It is getting dark," Loki said while looking up at the sky with the sun going down.
"That is a sound plan. I see a castle over on that mountain which would make for suitable shelter," Hela said pointing at an ice castle on the side of the nearest mountain near them.
"This day keeps getting weirder and weirder," Stephen said under his breath as he followed Thor and his siblings to this castle.
They all climbed up the mountain and Thor began to knock on the castle doors.
"Hello! I am Thor! With me our my brother and sister and my good wizard friend! With your kind permission, we would like to take shelter for the night in your castle!" Thor exclaimed while the doors slowly began to open, but oddly enough, no one was behind them.
"I've got a bad feeling about this," Stephen said, having a feeling this wasn't going to be a peaceful stay.
"I have to agree with the, wizard," Loki said, even though he didn't like agreeing with Stephen after making him fall for thirty minutes.
"Oh, but there may be a chance for battle yet!" Hela exclaimed excitedly.
"Oh all of you cheer up!" Thor said as he began to lead them inside. "Thank you all so much for your hospitality!" Thor said happily, though no one still appeared as they entered the castle.
"Hmmm, maybe it's abandoned?" Stephen asked, hoping just for a nice night's sleep for once even if they were in another dimension.
"I think we should take a look around," Loki suggested.
"Yes, brother is right. No doubt they are planning an ambush!" Hela screamed out while summoning two swords.
"Right, let's do look around," Thor said as they all walked off into different directions in the castle. Hela's thirst for battle reminds me when he wanted to go after the Frost Giants for breaking the truce, but unlike him, she didn't have his friends on Midgard that helped him see the error in his ways. Maybe there's still time to change that for her.
"The architecture is here is amazing," Stephen said in awe. How could a place made only of ice be built? "I haven't found anyone," Stephen said, but did possibly get a glimpse of a shadow on the top level that was gone when he went to investigate it.
"Same. Sister and I have found no traces of anyone either," Loki said with Hela and him meeting back up with Stephen near the front doors.
"Yes, they continue to evade us!" Hela said, ready for any chance of battle.
"I'm going to check one more time, and then we can rest for the night," Thor said as began to search one more time to find whoever lives in this amazing castle.
Thor was back on the highest level and he heard someone or something in a nearby room. When he went to see the source of the noise, he heard what sounded like sobbing coming from it and opened the door to see what was going on and found another odd looking person crying in the corner of it.
"Greetings! Are you ok…" Thor started to ask before the woman used her powers and shot ice in his direction knocking him out of the room.
Thor quickly regain his footing as this woman came outside to confront him.
"Who are you?! Did you take my sister!" the woman said with tears coming down her face while holding up her hands preparing to blast Thor again if he didn't talk.
"What?! No! We were just looking for shelter for the night," Thor said, trying to calm her down. In fact, this may be one of missing people his new friends were looking for.
The woman lowered her hands, bowed her head in grief and walked back inside the room, but Thor could tell if someone was in pain, and said "Wait! I think I met some of your friends earlier today! I told them I would help find you if I could!" Thor said to the woman who seemed to believe him.
"Tell them I'm sorry, but I can't go back. It's my fault Anna is gone and I can't find her," the woman said sadly who Thor guessed must be Elsa.
At this point Stephen, Loki, and Hela came up to see what was going on.
"Is this who we are going to battle?!" Hela asked, though she didn't seem like was going to fight them, sadly.
"What's going on, brother?" Loki asked while looking at this very depressed person who must be one of the people that went missing they heard about earlier in the day.
"Are you the owner of this place?" Stephen asked to her, though he noticed how sad she looked. Maybe this was one of those sisters those odd people told him about.
Thor was about to speak up, but the woman came up and said, "Yes, I made this place three years ago. I'm sorry for attacking you. My name is Elsa."
"Good to meet you! I'm Thor! This is my brother Loki, my sister Hela, and my good wizard friend, Strange!" Thor exclaimed while introducing him and his people.
"Nice to meet you all," Elsa said with a small smile with obvious sadness in her eyes before walking back inside to her room.
"Look, we promised our new friends we would them if we can. Tell us what happened," Thor asked, wanting to help those who needed it. It was one of the most important lessons he had learned during his exile to Midgard.
"I…I was with Anna out on the trail and we got separated for moment, and next thing I know she was gone," Elsa said with guilt on her face.
"Do you have any idea what happened to her?" Stephen asked, guessing he wouldn't like the answer.
"Ye….yes," Elsa replied fearfully as she used her powers and recreated the moment using water to show what happened revealing this odd looking monster thing kidnapping her sister.
"Blackheart," Stephen said squinting his eyes in disgust.
"Yes, I know that name as well," Loki said with equal disgust.
"Ha! The foolish pet of that red fool!" Hela screamed with rage. Another idiot just like Thanos with over-complicated and convoluted schemes.
"Oh yes, I know who you speak of," Thor said while he walked off to the side and motioned for Stephen to follow him.
"Thor…" Stephen started to tell Thor something before he cut him off and "I know you want to get back home. I do too, but we can't turn a cry for help away. You can argue about his character all day, but my father always taught me to help another fair ruler in need when you can."
Stephen looked over at Elsa after hearing that and said, "As much as I do want to get back, you're right. Besides, we'll have to face these jerks one day, anyway."
"This is all my fault! I shut her out and now she's gone!" Elsa began to cry out.
"It is not! It is the work of another bastard that doesn't play fair," Thor said with rage. He may not have killed the purple bastard, but he will kill the red one. His newest friend seemed to truly love her sister and her sister seemed to truly love her too, so he would help reunite them and put an end to Mephisto.
"I assume we're going to Mephisto's Realm then?" Loki said with a sigh. He didn't really want to go there, but brother had taught him to care for others and Elsa seemed like Thor on how they both were always concerned about them.
"A chance for battle! And do not worry, snow queen. The Goddess of Death as longed for chance to put an end to dear little Mephisto. Your sister will be secured and that thing's heart will be mine!" Hela said with excitement. A chance to put an end to Mephisto would almost make up for the Iron Man killing Thanos without her getting the honors of doing it.
"Thank you all so much. I don't even though what to say," Elsa said in gratitude and complete shock these total strangers would help her.
"Oh don't worry about it. Let's not keep Mephisto waiting," Stephen said with small gulp. He knew this was a trap and Mephisto was probably after Elsa's spirit considering he kidnapped her sister to lure her into his realm, but he lost his little sister decades ago, so he knew what that pain was like, and he didn't want anyone else to have to suffer like that too.
"Strange, I've fixed the orb, are you all ready to come back?" Wong asked telepathically to Stephen.
"Not yet. Send us and our new friend here to Mephisto's Realm. He's kidnapped her sister, and we all agreed to help her rescue her," Stephen said to Wong as he was getting ready for the journey.
"Very noble, Strange. It was nice knowing you," Wong said as he completed Stephen's request and walked away sadly.
"She will come soon for her, "father"," Blackheart said to Mephisto on his throne while Anna tried to free herself from the monster's grip.
"Good! Take her away and make sure she doesn't escape," Mephisto said as prepared himself to steal Elsa's spirit once she arrived.
"You're not going to win. She will destroy you," Anna said looking at Mephisto with disgust in her eyes.
"You think so?! Fool! No one can defeat me! I'll make her watch as you die! And then her spirit will be mine!" Mephisto exclaimed laughing manically.
Blackheart though was tired of these overly complex schemes and his "father's" treatment of him and wouldn't mind if someone would put an end to him.
"We'll see," Anna said with a glare as Blackheart dragged her away.
"I guess we're here," Stephen said as they arrived to this nightmarish dimension.
"Welcome "heroes"! I see you came with poor little Elsa in her futile quest to save her precious sister," Mephisto mockingly told them as he contacted them telepathically. She wasn't supposed to have help!
"What have you done, Mephisto?! Kidnapping innocent people! For what?! Hoping their loved ones will make a deal? You're well known for not following your own bargains," Thor said with disgust and hatred for this shape-shifting coward.
"I follow my bargains to the letter! I can't help it if others "misunderstand" what was said," Mephisto said half heartily.
"You and my father are more alike than I care to admit. Deception and cruelty runs through both of you," Thor said with anger.
"Where's my sister!?" Elsa screamed out while charging her hands.
"Such "resolve"! I'm going to enjoy tormenting you!" Mephisto exclaimed with glee.
"You talk much, but I know a coward when I see one. Who told you about Elsa?" Loki asked, deducing someone tricked Mephisto.
"Yes, you're a well-known curse to the multiverse. I'm here to put an end to you," Stephen said in disgust.
"Enough talk! My minions will take care of you!" Mephisto said as he sent his minions to kill them while he went to scold Blackheart.
"You idiot boy! I said no traces!" Mephisto screamed out in a panicking voice to his "son".
"I had no idea, "father"," Blackheart said barely hiding his hatred for him.
"So my sister came after all and you realize you're no match her?" Anna said with a smirk while in the cage Blackheart placed her in.
"We'll see, stupid girl!" Mephisto said in anger while he ordered Blackheart to stay guard while he went to deal with the "heroes".
"Alright, I know it's hard to stay focused, but I think I located your sister," Stephen said as he was battling Mephisto's minions.
"Then we need to go get her!" Elsa screamed out as she used her powers to freeze Mephisto's minions attacking her.
"Going somewhere?" Mephisto asked sarcastically as he appeared in front of them.
"Loki and Hela, go get her sister. Thor, Elsa, and me deal will with this," Stephen ordered to Loki and Hela.
"I need to go with them!" Elsa protested. She had to save her sister or else she wouldn't be able to live with herself.
"No. Friend, this wizard is right. Your powers are truly remarkable and you can help us defeat this red bastard," Thor said looking at Mephisto while raising Stormbreaker.
"What will you do then, little gi…" Mephisto started to mock Elsa, before she shot an ice blast at his face.
"Come to save your friend?" Blackheart asked mockingly as Loki and Hela arrived to where Anna was being held hostage.
"Actually, we've never met, but my brother is always helping strangers, so release her or my sister will make you," Loki said with a smirk as Hela summoned two swords causing Blackheart to realize he might be in trouble.
Hela threw her swords at Blackheart and Loki summoned a dagger and they began to attack him, catching Blackheart off guard. During the chaos Anna managed to pick the lock and freed herself from the prison causing Blackheart to rush at her to try and kill her as he was losing the battle to Loki and Hela hard. Blackheart managed to slash at Anna, but it was just an illusion created by Loki.
"You're not the only one with magic, fool," Loki said as he sliced his dagger across Blackheart's neck followed by Hela stabbing him in the heart and throwing him down into the abyss.
With Blackheart dead, Loki walked over and unlocked the cage, letting Anna out.
"Greetings! I am Loki and this is my sister, Hela. We're with your sister," Loki said as Anna stepped out.
"I knew she would come for me! And thanks for getting me out of there," Anna said with a smile and small tear knowing it was her sister that was saving her this time around.
"Yes, now can we please go kill the red fool now!" Hela exclaimed, ready to kill Mephisto next. Though she wonders if she'll ever have a relationship with her brothers the way these two sisters have.
"Right, let's finish this," Loki said leading them back to Mephisto.
"You're a bastard!" Thor screamed out while swinging Stormbreaker at Mephisto.
"Had enough?" Stephen asked sarcastically while he used his magic to weaken Mephisto.
"You messed with the wrong family!" Elsa screamed out as she shot an ice blast that was pushing Mephisto back.
He couldn't believe it. He was losing.
"You're all worthless before me! You are a monster! A freak your parents locked away! I will take the one person who loves you the most away! And your spirit will be mine! The prophecy says so," Mephisto mockingly told to Elsa, but Elsa with tears and rage launched an even larger ice blast at Mephisto causing him to lose his balance.
Stephen took advantage of the fiend's situation and used his magic to keep him from breaking free.
But Thor knew there was only one way to truly kill him. After all, it worked when Stark did it to the purple bastard.
"No you red bastard, you're the freak!" Thor screamed out he as charged at the subdued Mephisto and used his ax to tear out his heart.
"Friend! Freeze this!" Thor screamed out as he threw Mephisto's heart to Elsa as she froze it followed by Thor smashing into bits with his ax.
"NO!" Mephisto screamed out as he dropped to his knees and began to fade away.
As Mephisto's was fading away into nothingness, someone messaged him telepathically to mock him.
"Ah, this isn't how you thought events would play out, eh Mephisto? Since some of the "heroes" here responsible for your demise like to sing songs, allow me to sing you one," The voice mockingly said to Mephisto who was helpless. "Hey Mephisto! Are you ready to die now?! We are worst enemies! Did you really think I would ever help you! Are you ready to die now? In too much pain to speak? Okay, bye!" The voice laughingly said as he sung his twisted version of one of the songs from the two sisters to his hated enemy.
"Y...you tricked me," Mephisto weakly said.
"Ah, the "prophecy" said she would come into your realm. It never stated she would stay or you would survive the encounter. After all, I can't help it if you "misunderstood" what you read," The voice mockingly told Mephisto who was enraged.
"Damn you, Victor! DAMN YOU!" Mephisto screamed out as the pain was over taking him. Somehow deep down, the irony of being manipulated and deceived to his downfall was not lost on Mephisto.
Thor though, was unimpressed with the red bastard blaming his problems on some imaginary person named "Victor" and decided to end him much faster rather than let him die a slow painful death.
"Now I would be content to let you die a slow painful death, but I learned my lesson last time, so goodbye, red bastard," Thor said to a fearful Mephisto as he used his ax to cut off his head.
"Did I miss all the fun?" Loki asked with a smirk as they arrived to see the fiend defeated.
"Another fool was killed without me," Hela said disappointed, but impressed her little brother took care of the fool.
"Anna!" Elsa screamed out in tears of joy as she went to hug her sister.
"Elsa!" Anna too screamed out in tears of joy as she went to hug her sister.
Thor smiled at this, as they both had a bond he wish he had with his siblings.
"Wow. I can't believe we did that." Stephen said with a sigh of relief. And it was nice they helped reunite the two sisters. "I think it's time we get out of here. Take us back, Wong," Stephen who contacted a very surprised Wong they had won the day.
"Everyone is safe and the red bastard defeated and destroyed!" Thor told his new friends at the forest as he was preparing to head back to his dimension with his siblings and the wizard.
"Are you sure you all can't stay?" Elsa asked sad that her new friends were leaving.
"We would love too, but we got get back to our dimension," Stephen said, actually a little sad it was time to go, but was glad there was less one intergalactic maniac out there.
"You guys can come back, right?" Anna asked, sad her new friends were leaving too.
"I'm sure. Or maybe you can come visit us?" Loki suggested.
"As long as there are more fools to kill, then we will see each other again!" Hela exclaimed with glee.
Thor though after this whole experience realized that maybe there's more to Hela than she lets on. He saw how close the two sisters were, and maybe things could get better between them.
After a few more minutes, everyone hugged each other goodbye and Elsa and Anna walked back to their friends.
"Let's not separate again," Anna said with a smile to her sister as they were walking back to their friends.
"Let's never," Elsa with a smile as they both walked back to their friends.
"You okay, wizard?" Thor asked as they were getting ready to teleport back.
"I just don't understand how Mephisto even targeted Elsa. Loki and I both agree, we sensed no "prophecy"," Stephen said to Thor not truly understanding what all had happened, but at least Mephisto was gone. One less intergalactic idiot to deal with.
"Don't worry, wizard! He's was bound to screw up sooner or later! It's not like someone tricked him," Thor said to Stephen as Wong brought them all back to their dimension not noticing a man near them encased in metal armor wearing a green cloak in the forest manically laughing at his hated enemy being destroyed.
Hope you all like it! My main thing was the sibling dynamic and Thor learning to hopefully continue to have a stronger relationship with Hela and keep up the good one he has now with Loki after seeing how Elsa and Anna's is.
Happy Thanksgiving!
