Bucky sat in a holding cell within the avengers HQ. How long had he been there? He didn't know. When was he getting out? No idea. After he'd been captured by Fury, Bucky had been placed deep within the HQ walls. Fury was scared that he would lash out and hurt someone.

Steve had been visiting. He seemed to be the only one who had gotten through to him. How had he forgiven the winter soldier so easily? Bucky still had no clue.

"Rough mission?" Sam asked as Steve stumbled out of the helicarrier.

"Yeah." Steve responded, his thoughts wandering to Bucky sitting all alone in the cell.

"I'm gonna let you go shower, but tell me the details later, I love a good mission recap." Sam winked as we walked off.

Steve quickly ran to the shower. In and out within 5 minutes. He struggled to pull on some sweats and a loose tank top. The second the tank had gone over his head, Steve ran to the elevator. He paced impatiently as the elevator sunk deeper into the building.

When the elevator reached Bucky's floor, Steve room a deep breathe. Talking to him was hard, he never let on they he remembered much. He never let on he remembered what they used to be.

"Hey Buck," Steve said softly, trying not to startle him.

He didn't turn at first. His name had become foreign to him.

Steve sighed and then knocked. Bucky turned startled.

"Hey Stevie, didn't hear you come in."

"How have you been?"

"I'm ok, better now that you're here."

The soldier stood up and walked towards Steve. The blondes first instinct was to hug him, but he quickly stopped himself hoping Bucky hadn't noticed.

'Doesn't like being touched,' Steve thought to himself, 'just breathe.'

Bucky had noticed. He kept walking towards Steve looking down. He snaked his arms around his waist and pulled the captain close. His arms quickly moved to his fingers were closer to Steve's shoulders. The blonde tenses for a second, then held him back.

"I remember us."

Tears welled in Steve's eyes. He had longed for this moment, he just wasn't expecting it to be today.

"I'm sorry for letting you forget. I didn't want to say anything be-"

"It's ok. I love you Stevie."

A lumped formed in the captains throat, "I love you too Buck."

The two super soldiers stood there holding eachother. Completely still and completely silent.

Meanwhile, Tony and Nat sat watching the two through the cameras.

"They're really made for eachother huh," Tony spoke.

"Yup. Took them long enough."

"Hey, give them a break, cyborg had dementia."

The two laughed, but it quickly was cut short as Fury walked in.

"What do you guys think you're doing?" Fury boomed.

"Come look at this," Nat answered pointing to the screen.

Fury walked over to see the two super soldiers hugging eachother while crying.

"What happened?"

Tony smiled, "Bucky remembered."
