Bucky picked up Steve's shield. In a second he was flung out the train.
Steve got to his feet. He threw his shield, that Bucky at dropped at the Hydra agent.
"Bucky!" He called running around the corner.
The only thing he saw was his lover hanging on for dear life. Without a seconds hesitation, Steve climbed out onto the train.
"Hang on!" He pleaded, "grab my hand!"
Bucky reached out, the bar began to break.
"No!"
Bucky fell. His scream forever haunting Steve. He could only watch as he had fallen.
When Steve woke up, Bucky was sitting next to him worried.
"Stevie, are you ok?" He said as he grabbed Steve's hand.
"I keep reliving it over and over again! It's my fault, it's my fault it happened."
"It's not your fault, it's no ones. There's nothing you could've done, but I'm here now."
Steve broke down into tears. He pulled Bucky into a close embrace.
"Everyone thinks I'm fine, that I've got it all together, but every night I relive it. Your scream it..." his sentence was muffled into Bucky's shoulder.
"It's ok to feel sad, sometimes memories from my past haunt me in my sleep. We're superhero's, everyone gets it and we're no different."
Steve must of been crying quite loud as Nat and Tony had appeared in the doorway. Bucky thought to himself, 'great this is not what he needs right now.'
"Everything he said was right," Tony said as he walked forwards, Nat trailing behind him, "all of us get it."
"Tony, get back here," Nat called out, "we need to get out, he has Bucky he's fine."
Bucky nodded at Nat as if to say 'thank you.' She grabbed Tony's hand and pulled him out of the room while scolding him.
"I love you James, please don't leave me again."
"I love you too and I won't."
