Aries walked over to the Beauxbatons carriage with purpose and knocked firmly.

Two seconds later the door was opened to reveal the headmistress peering down at him from her impressive height.

"Madame Maxime, good morning. I'm here to see my wife." He told her.

"Are you, Monsieur Lestrange? Need I remind you that for the duration of rest of the school year, your wife is a student of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and one of your competitors?"

"I'm well aware of the fact, Madam." Aries replied.

"Then, perhaps you shouldn't try to disturb her when she's in her classes. Are you trying to sabotage her?" The headmistress questioned.

"I wouldn't disturb her unless in the case of an emergency. Unfortunately, this is an emergency. Now, I would be grateful if you would allow me to see her." Aries insisted.

The headmistress sent him another look before shutting the door in his face. A minute later, Louise came out of the carriage.

"What happened? Madame Maxime said it was an emergency. I thought you were giving Occulmancy lessons to Harry." She exclaimed, looking him over to see if he had any injuries.

"Let's take a walk." Aries said, taking her hand.

He didn't say anything until they reached the shore of the Black Lake. That was when Louise lost her patience and planted her feet firmly to the ground.

"Well?" She demanded.

"You were right." Aries said.

"I usually am right. Which occasion are you talking about, specifically?" She asked.

"About Harry's scar. The 'you know what' is contained to the scar. His mother's protection prevented it from spreading further." Aries whispered.

Louise gasped, clutching his hand tightly. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. I didn't find any trace of it in his mind, so I did a scan." He admitted.

"And Harry? What did you tell him?"

"That I was checking for any dark residue. Not the whole truth but not a lie either. It would act as a foundation when we offer to remove the scar."

"Sirius would never agree to it." Louise objected.

"We'll find a way." Aries dismissed. "But you know what this means, right? We have to change all the plans. Harry doesn't need to be there for the ritual anymore. We can get all the pieces, destroy them, take the triwizard cup and get rid of 'him' for good."

"We really don't have a lot of time. We have to think of what to do with Crouch, too." Louise added.

"Why do you think I got you out of that class?" Aries asked.

"Okay." Louise said, getting her game face on. "Let's divide and conquer. You get the cup and locket. I'll get the ring and diadem. Do we need to get the basilisk fang?"

"No, I can control fiendfyre." Aries answered, resisting the urge to stop her from going after the ring alone. She was right, they didn't have much time and he was the only one who could get the locket and the cup. "Let's meet at the room at nine."

"See you then." Louise turned to leave, as Aries took hold of her hand.

"Be careful." He said, giving her hand her squeeze.

"Of course." She smiled, before leaving.

Aries himself walked himself back to the school and requested the use of floo to take him to Gringotts. After that it simply involved taking the cart to his vault and taking out the Hufflepuff's cup. Aries took precaution and requested an acromantula silk bag, which is inert to magic, to carry the horcrux.

Getting the Slytherin's locket was trickier. It was in Grimmauld Place, which had impossible to surpass magical defences. Sirius didn't trust Aries and any mention of something as evil as horcrux, definitely wouldn't help matter. It seemed he had only one way to move forward.

"Kreacher." He called out, settling down in his study in the Lestrange Manor.

The elf appeared with a pop. Apparently, Sirius hadn't thought to place any restrictions on him to answer to the other members of Black family. "Little Master Aries called Kreacher?" He asked, bowing down so low that his long nose touched the floor.

Aries grimaced. He knew that Kreacher's deference to him came due to the elf being fond of his mother.

"Kreacher." He spoke firmly. "I understand that Regulus Black gave you a task that you failed to accomplish?"

This admonishment caused an extreme reaction, as Aries had expected it to. That made it much easier to wrangle the locket from the distressed house elf, promising him to destroy it.

Aries reached the Room if Requirements at three minutes to nine, and after checking for any stalkers, walked across the painting of Barnabas and trolls, wishing for a safe place to destroy the Horcruxes. Louise must have wished for the same, as she was already inside when Aries went in. The Ravenclaw's Diadem and Gaunt ring were placed on a dias in the centre of the room. Aries went forward and put the other two horcruxes along with them.

"I got Harry to agree to the procedure to remove his scar." Louise said, shifting a bit uneasily at seeing four of those vile objects together.

"What about Sirius?" Aries asked, strengthening his Occulmancy barriers as he felt the horcruxes trying to exert an influence on his mind.

"We don't have time to convince him. He took more than two months to agree to the Occulmancy lessons. The third task is in three days." Louise told him. "Harry has promised he won't tell Sirius."

"I can't be involved in this." Aries said. "Sirius is the head of my maternal house."

"Don't worry, love, I got this." Louise replied. "You just take care of these four. And quickly, please. They're starting to creep me out."

Aries acquiesced by raising his wand and channeling all his willpower to the image of a flame. "Ignis."

A bright orange flame erupted out of his wand and devoured the four objects in question. Aries watched in fascination as the horcruxes were burnt to ash in front of him, leading to four formations of smoke to erupt out of them and vanish into nothingness, screaming.

"That was intense." Louise commented. "Do you think he felt it?"

"It's unlikely. He has split his soul too many times to have any lingering connection left." Aries replied. "We have to decide which one of us would be going to the graveyard." He hoped that Louise wouldn't insist on going. He had faith in her and she had proved herself getting the Gaunt ring, without a scratch to herself, but Aries would get heartburn from anxiety if she went to the graveyard .

"I think you should go. I'll be much more suited to deal with Crouch and the fallout." Louise said, making Aries sigh in relief.

"That would be ideal." He quickly agreed.

"I feel bad for Cedric, though." Louise sighed.

Aries looked at her, confused at the change in topic. "Why?"

"He's the only one of us who wanted to win." She answered. "Well, at least he'll live this time."

"Maybe we can contest the results on the grounds of sabotage." Aries suggested. "Crouch has been interfering with the tournament since the beginning."

"That's a good idea. Why, though? Don't you want eternal glory?" She teased.

"I already have the only thing I wanted from this tournament." Aries said, looking at her.

"And what might that be?" Louise asked, moving closer.

Aries pulled her closer and whispered in her ear, "You."
