Chapter 21 The Dragon King meets the Stag Prince
Jon looked over the table of the entire seven kingdoms. Already there is another Baratheon that claims that he is the King of all seven kingdoms.
'King' Renly declares that he is the king.
The Septon of Oldtown had crowned him and all of Reach and Stormlands are rising behind him.
Luckily he brought people of Dorne and few Stormlanders that rallied behind Stannis when news of his return has been a good start.
"Lord Stannis," Jon called to his good father to look over the plans.
"Your grace," He answered Jon and questions the man. "How would you think if I can convince your brother to give up his crown and bend his knees to me?"
Jon knew that if Renly Baratheon smart enough to withdraw his ambitions.
"No, the Tyrells filled my brother's mind with nonsense. Knowing them they rather see their precious rose as their queen. They went as far as to starve us, but they believed that Renly would be their source to be royalty."
Stannis held a grudge against the Tyrells since the Rebellion. Elysabeth told Jon that her father follows his old law and that is a younger sibling always obeys his elder sibling. The Tyrells did was stave them instead of helping the Targaryen's war to rescue Rhaegar's family.
"We need to prepare a possible argument. The Dornish needs to move where the Reach is." Jon moved pieces of the ships to Reach.
Stannis looked and nodded. "They will have to keep the distance from letting the Redwyne ships from getting attacks."
"Looks like we are going to have to move our men. Once we gather enough allies and moved to the North."
Jon promised Robb that he will bring the army to the North and get the Lannister's away from their borders.
"The North?" Stannis questioned him.
"Yes, like I said we need all the Seven Kingdoms to defeat the Lannister's."
"Vale remains neutral your grace. It seems that Lysa Arryn does not wish to honor her husband vows." Stannis reminded him about Lysa Arryn.
Jon knows about the rumors in Vale.
"After our meeting us over. Vale will have to answer to us." Jon commanded Stannis which his good-father fully agrees.
The coast of the Stormlands
Jon rode his horse to Stormlands along with Stannis, Melisandre, an Asshai'i priestess, Prince Oberyn, and Davos Seaworth with few guards with him. Ghost red eyes seemed to glow with rage.
Renly is one the other side. Wearing his armor and a golden crown on his head. Catelyn, Brienne, and Loras along with his own guards.
Jon is surprised that Lady Stark is there. He wonders why was she here?
"Ah, brother you came, and this must be the Targaryen King I have heard about." Renly happily calls out.
"This is his grace, Jaehaerys Targaryen, the third of his name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar, and the First Men", Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm." Stannis proudly announced his good son.
Renly burst out of laughter as well as the rest of his men.
"I am sorry brother, but that's a good one. I heard of this one because he is a bastard of Winterfell of Eddard Stark."
Jon clenched his jaw tightly. "Are you afraid that this bastard would make you kneel before one?"
That actually makes them stop laugh and Ser Loras glared at him.
"The seven kingdoms don't want or need a Targaryen as their King." Ser Loras snarled.
"Then why don't we asked ourselves who would be King then?" Prince Oberyn questioned them.
"King Renly will…" The knight flowers were cut off by none other than Catelyn Stark.
"He is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark by marriage."
Renly lost his smile a bit but regain it. "Lady Stark I can understand the need to protect your husband's memory."
"He told me himself about that day. I apologized to Prince Oberyn of your sister shamed by both of their actions." Cat apology did ease him a bit.
"No apology is needed the only thing I wished is the mountains head plunk off of my spear." Red Viper's face is shown that terrifies everyone.
"I am giving you a chance, Lord Renly. Give up these ambitions and withdraw your crown. My Hand, Lord Stannis will allow you to rule Stormlands and be his heir if no sons are born to him." Jon gave him the deal.
"I inclined to disagree, your grace." Renly mocked him. "The crown will do you no good. I have the people behind me and they will make me king."
"You should kneel before King Jaehaerys. He is the child of fire and Ice. The Lord of Light has chosen him to lead the people out of the darkness and into the light." Lady Melisandre orders Renly.
"Ah, you must be the infamous red priestess that my brother brought."
"Watch yourself, Renly! For the sake of our mother who bore us give up this foolishness." Stannis tried to plead him. Sadly, Renly refuses.
"I will be King, brother. Sorry, but I won't bow to this false pretender here. Where's his proof?" Renly challenges him.
Jon sighs and shakes his head in disappointment. Guess he rather to this the hard way.
He put his fingers in his mouth and "FWEET!".
"What?" Ser Loras questioned him.
"What was that? Are you trying to…?" Renly was cut off by sounds of roars.
RWWWWWAAAAAA!
Alaera, Baelyra, and Nelaerla flew down and snarls at Renly. Their horse franticly panics at the sight of dragons.
"Surely, that settles the proof." Jon retorted Renly's comment.
The three dragons growled at the Renly and his group.
Ghost sat and held his head up high like royalty. Ghost seemed proud that the Dragons are taking notes from him.
"You won't! You can't…" Renly panic, Jon cut him off. "You have two choices either bend the knee or fight. You decided. Sleep well."
Jon whistles for the girls. The dragons heard his whistles and snarl last time then flew away. He turned his horse to ride away into their camps.
Lady Lady Melisandre comments, "Look into your sins, Lord Renly. For the night is full of dark and terror."
Robb Stark
Robb has been thinking it over. He had dishonored a woman from a noble house. Lady Jeyne Westerling who healed him and he laid with her.
He must break the vows that he made with the Freys.
Maybe he could marry her to mend the bridge from someone of Westlands.
He just prays that it would be enough when Jon his brother or cousin. He still loves him like a brother.
He needs to do this.
Surely, Jon can understand that.
