Hi, Quick pre-chapter note. I love The League of assassins, Ras al Guel, Nyssa, and Talia. I will try to write them as accurately as possible. Please don't knock me if you feel a character wouldn't say or do something I wrote. Hope ya'll enjoy!

It took a month to gather everyone. Some were easy, others were much, much more difficult. Everyday Oliver would try and convince Sara to meet Mei, but she didn't want to dangle a carrot in front of the kid's face if she wasn't going to be around. Oliver knew why she felt that way, but he also knew how heartbreaking it was to not be able to see Mei. So he came up with an idea.

"Mei?" Oliver yelled from their bedroom doorway.

"Yes, daddy?" She yelled back from the living room.

"Would you come here for a minute?"

"Okay." Little feet padded their way down the hall until she was in his view. He waved for her to follow him. Once they were both in the room, Oliver picked her up and sat her on the bed, then pulled out his phone.

"I wanted to ask you a few questions and record them. Is that okay with you?"

Mei tapped her forehead. "Hmm, okay."

Oliver pressed the red button on his screen and held it to face her.

"I wanted to know if there was anything you wished you could tell your mommy?" Oliver hoped the question wouldn't be too much for his daughter. She was only four.

Mei's smile fell. She started picking at a scab on her knee. "I don't know," she mumbled.

"That's okay. Don't worry. I'm right here and you can say whatever comes to your mind."

"Uh, I-OH I got it," she said as she sat up straight and crossed her legs. "Mommy, I love you and I miss you and I wish you were here with me and daddy. I don't remember you, but daddy said you were really nice and pretty and he said we have the same hair. See," she placed her chin to her chest so the camera could get a good view of her hair. "Oh, and I'm going to get a skateboard. Grandma said no, but daddy said yes and daddy makes the rules." Oliver held his hand out and Mei slapped it.

"Can I go play with Thea now?" she asked. Oliver nodded.

That night he brought the video to Sara. She replayed it twenty times then sat and cried in his arms.

"I can't believe she's so big. Wasn't it yesterday we were stopping her from shoving leaves in her mouth?"

He crawled beside where she was leaning against a wall and leaned his head against hers. "Yeah, she's smarter than I've ever been."

"Glad to see not much has changed," she said with a laugh.

He kissed her forehead then stood with his hand held out to her. "Time to get to work."

They'd made a list of possible people who could help their mission, but they didn't know if they could depend on any of them.

The first was Nyssa;

Of course, she'd come after her in a dark alley. A league of assassins member in broad daylight was like a shark on land. Sara could feel the presence of someone behind her. It was familiar, safe, but Sara was still cautious. She turned right as the person was at her back and placed her sword against their neck.

"Sara," Nyssa said as she sighed. She dropped her weapon to show Sara she wasn't here to kill her, just yet. Sara backed away.

"I'm guessing your father sent you," she said, her hand still firmly wrapped around the sword, ready to strike.

"You know the rules. No one leaves the league. I came here to bring you back before he sent others who wouldn't be so generous."

"You know I can't return and you know why."

Sara hadn't said a word since she'd arrived at Nanda Parbat. It had been months and Nyssa had grown rather curious of the young blond that had graced their presence. She had taken a liking to her, it could've been considered a crush if she was a twelve-year-old with a diary and not the daughter of a master assassin.

She followed Sara around, trained when she trained, ate when she ate. Every moment of silence that passed made her hungrier for information. As weeks went by, she wondered if she'd ever know the young blond.

Until one day, when they were in the middle of a private training session. The other recruits who'd been there longer were jealous of the individual attention Sara received. Nyssa made sure to put them in their place.

Sara went for a low swipe of the sword, but Nyssa had learned the block at seven. She placed her sword against Sara's and guided them to point at the ceiling. She placed both hands on her sword before shoving Sara. Sara stumbled as she fell back, her months of training had come in handy as she flipped to her hands and landed on her feet. The sword sat in front of her, only a few inches away, but it was enough room for Nyssa to grab it, and before Sara could move, she was shoved against the wall with the swords crossed against her neck. Nyssa slid them closer and closer until a few drops of blood hit the rusted steel.

"Okay, okay, I give," Sara said. Nyssa dropped the swords.

"You speak. I was beginning to wonder if you could." Sara placed her hand against the cut on her neck. She headed to the door when Nyssa grabbed her arm. "Don't stop now, I was just getting interested."

Sara pulled herself away from her grasp but didn't walk away. "I don't have much to say."

Nyssa walked to her side and brushed Sara's loose hair behind her ear. "Everyone has a story. Especially those who end up here." Sara walked over to the wall and slid down it till she was sitting with her knees against her chest.

"I had a family and I lost them," was all she could say. She didn't want to say either name, they were repeated enough in her nightmares.

"Ah, that is something I hear often." Nyssa wasn't one for emotion, there was no room in her life, but something about this girl made her want to sympathize. She sat next to Sara with crossed legs. "Was it violent?"

Tears glazed Sara's eyes. She quickly brushed at them before they could fall. "I didn't see, but they didn't die in their sleep if that's what you were asking."

Nyssa nodded. "Revenge is the most common reaction to heartache. Was this person a romantic love?"

Sara massaged her bruised hand. "Yes, and a child." Tears slipped past the barrier. "Not a child. She didn't even get to be a child. She was just an innocent baby and they ki-oh God," Sara's chest tightened and her vision grew black.

She woke to Nyssa sitting beside her in a room she'd never seen before. She looked around to make sure no one else was there to see her weakness. League of Shadow members do not pass out from panic attacks.

"Drink this," Nyssa said as she handed her a small, stone bowl. She slowly drank the grassy tasting liquid, before handing the bowl back. "Better?"

Sara nodded. The fog started to clear from her head and nausea that had been swishing in her stomach calmed.

"What was that?" Sara asked as she sat up and leaned against, what she guessed was Nyssa's headboard.

"Not important. You need to continue to speak about what happened. Keeping it to yourself will hold you back, and you're one of the best members we've had since my sister and I." She leaned back against the wall and waited.

"I can't. I'm not ready."

Nyssa stood. "Very well."

As the months passed, Sara opened up to Nyssa. She was able to say Oliver and Mei's names without passing out. Months passed and the two grew close, but Sara was never able to give Nyssa what she truly wanted. It wasn't like Sara didn't like girls, she'd realized her bisexuality in her freshman year of college, but she felt as though she was cheating on Oliver. She knew it was stupid, Oliver was dead, but she didn't have any more heart to give.

After a few years had passed, Sara was almost ready to try things out with Nyssa, which made it that much harder when Nyssa had to tell her Oliver Queen had returned to Starling City with a four-year-old girl. The next day, Sara was gone.

"I know you wouldn't want any harm to befall your beloved or the child you share." Emedialty Sara's sword was pointed at Nyssa's neck.

"Don't you dare threaten my family." Nyssa Placed her finger on the sword and pushed it down.

"I would never, but I do not run the league and what my father wants, my father gets. You know that as well as I do. I was surprised you stayed for so long." Sara placed the sword into her scabbard.

"I hadn't planned to, but once I saw them again, I couldn't leave. They're everything to me. Which is why I need to ask something of you."

Nyssa let out a humorless laugh. "A favor of me? I've been giving you countless favors making sure the people who were sent to kill you were taken care of."

Sara moved closer, so their faces were an inch from each other. "I know and I could never thank you enough for what you've done for me, but this is something that could benefit you as well."

Nyssa stayed silent for a moment as she stared intensely into Sara's eyes. "What is it?"

"I want you to help me bring down the league."

Nyssa took a step back, her jaw tightened and her eyes filled with fear. "You're of unsound mind. You cannot be serious."

Sara stepped closer. "But I am. If you join us, we stand a chance. I know you've wanted to lead the league since you were a child. Now is your chance."

"My father is an honorable man. He only fights hand to hand, one on one combat if challenged. He will not take kindly to an ambush."

"We don't need him to take it kindly, we just need to be quick. Once you kill him, the league will follow you."

Nyssa stayed silent for a moment. Then, "Who will be joining us?"

"Oh ah, that's where we need your help. Do you think you could help convince your sister to join us?"
