Note: The following is a rough outline of what was to happen in this chapter. I apologise for not being able to write the full chapter as intended, however, life has proven hectic and along with my plans to start writing original stories, I don't have the time needed to finish all my stories. I didn't want to leave them abandoned, so I decided to give a rough outline of the story's events so that you could see how it would have progressed and ended. I hope that you understand. Maybe one day I might come back and fully finish them as intended, but as that's up in the air, I thought that I'd end things this way rather than leave unfinished. Thank you for your time.

Chapter 1 (Rough Outline)

Other than a few claims, Godzilla has not been seen or heard from since his battle with the Mutos two years ago. Since then, the world has become a different place with mankind unsure of where it stood.

The world's militaries were constantly on standby, and evacuations drills had become the norm in society. Doomsday-sayers heralded the end of days when the Titans would rise again and take their rightful places as the dominant species of this planet. After a while, panic shifted into apprehension. With no sign of Godzilla's return, the world continued in peace. To help cement this peace, a new military force, Thunder Ops, stepped forward to proclaim itself as the sword and shield of humanity.

With ties to multiple international governments, Thunder Ops was equipped with the latest in advance military weaponry and technology to handle any future attacks from Titans. While there had been no attacks, Thunder Ops was still used for covert operations by whichever politic party was the first to fund them.

The world could breathe again believing Thunder Ops to be their knights in shining armour.

Among their ranks, Miki Saegusa was a comparably new recruit and the only psychic. Just entering her twenties, she has spent the last two years training within Thunder Ops' secret base to learn how to control and enhance her telekinetic and telepathic abilities. Under the strict guide of her Sergeant, Kai Yuda, she has come a long way from the teenager who was found amidst the rubble of her old home. But, she still waited for the day when she would be brought to the front lines. Her psychic abilities were powerful and difficult to control, leaving doubt in the minds of her superior officers that she could be trusted on the field with comrades in harm's way.

Isolated from the world she had sworn to protect, Miki wanders the training halls and only converses briefly with the staff that maintained the base's cleanliness. Miki was the only Thunder Ops trainee who took the time to acknowledge the staff's existence, and vice-versa.

One day, Sergeant Kai approaches her as she sits alone in the canteen.

''Don't trip over anyone to find a seat,'' Miki said, gesturing to the empty chairs around her table.

Kai glared down at her. ''Is that the kind of attitude you should have when speaking with me?''

''You're used to this by now.''

Holding his tongue for the moment, Kai takes a seat opposite her and slides a document over to her. Hesitantly, Miki glances through it, recognising its importance when she saw the seal stamped by Major Honda.

''We've been called to investigate reports of anomalies occurring off the coast of Pakistan,'' Kai whispered. ''The Major wants you on my team.''

Miki's eyes widened. ''I'll be going on this mission?''

''That depends. I could call Major Honda now and tell him that I don't find you emotionally or mentally prepared for this mission…''

Rising to her feet in an instant, Miki bowed to the sergeant. ''I apologise for my retort, Sergeant Yuda. Please forgive me. I promise that I will follow every order you give on this mission if you allow me to join.''

Kai forced a smile. ''Follow every order? You've said the magic words.''

After giving her a time and place to join the rest of the team before departure, he takes the documents and leaves.

''Sergeant?'' Miki calls out to him. ''If I may ask…after all this time, why am I needed now? Have we found something?''

''That's what you're going to find out.''

Hours later, Miki re-joins Sergeant Yuda and departs from Thunder Ops with her new team. Along the way, she resists the temptation to glance into their minds after feeling their trepidation with her presence. The last thing she wanted to do was lose their trust before they arrived at their destination.

They arrive and touch down at a base in Karachi, where Kai contacts Pakistan's government officials to see if anything unusual has happened. Nothing disastrous has been reported, however, small tremors have occurred over the past hour near the coastline.

As the team prepares to search the area, Miki finds herself gazing towards the Arabian Sea, feeling something amiss. Her head starts pounding and her heart begins to race. She can feel a fire burning in her chest that causes her to shiver and sweat. Fearing something awful about to happen, she requests to Kai that she leads the team. Although Kai refuses her request, he still decides to keep her close to his side should something out of the ordinary transpire.

Not long before they arrive at the coast, Miki follows an invisible pulse that takes them to a derelict mosque due for demolition. They keep their weapons ready and find a spiral staircase that leads them underground. The team's lights falter before giving out completely because of electrical interference. Suddenly, they are ambushed by a large group of gunmen in the shadows. Thanks to Miki's abilities, she's able to warn her team in time and guide them to safety.

With their superior weapons, Thunder Ops overpower the gunmen in minutes. However, any attempt to capture the gunmen alive fails as they quickly take suicide pills. Miki charges at one gunman and knocks the pill out of their hand. She chases after him when he tries to run, leading her away from Kai and her team. Her attempts to read his mind are ineffective as her head throbs more painfully.

After a quick chase, she uses her telekinesis to slam a crate into the gunmen, knocking him unconscious. She approaches the body to tie him up when she suddenly is overwhelmed by flashes in her mind. She falls to her knees and clutches her head, screaming in agony as her head feels like it's going to explode. The visions continue to play out before her like she is witnessing someone else's excruciating dream.

Incoherent voices warn her of a terrible fate ready to be awakened and bask the world in a sea of fire. Before she is consumed in darkness, she sees an unknown Titan standing above the broken world.

''Armaya is coming…'' A sinister voice whispers before Miki faints.
