Claudia fell.
She fell sideways, brushing against the railing on her left. Her body began to fall backwards, but she stopped herself just in time. So she pulled herself upright and looked herself over.
There was good news and bad news.
The bad news-There was dirt on the left side of her poufy skirt. And she had dropped her violin and bow.
The good news-Her violin and bow were undamaged thanks to her poufy skirt. Also, she was able to quickly brush the dirt off. Finally, she had fallen outside the church instead of inside it.
So she kept going.
She reached the top of the stairs.
She opened the door.
And she walked down the aisle, playing music all the way to the altar. The guests had mixed reactions. But Charlie, Bailey and Julia were all smiling. And so was Mark.
The minister read his sermon.
"Do you, Mark Baker, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, for better and for worse, in sickness and in health?"
"I do."
"And do you, Claudia Salinger, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, for better and for worse, in sickness and in health?"
"I do."
Owen presented Claudia and Mark with their rings. Then Claudia and Mark kissed.
They left the church, and climbed into the limo, Claudia fiddling all the way.
"What made you decide to become bride and musician?" Mark asked.
"Growing up, I was doing so many things at once," was Claudia's answer. "And I have no desire to stop now."
The End.
