Chapter 20: Splash from the Past
Everyone was gasping at the symbol on Percy's head. "That symbol…" Rio said. "What did you do to him?!" She yelled.
"Oh I didn't do anything." Terra said with a smile. "But I can't say the same for your friend there." She said pointing to an injured Bronk.
Rio growled. "You bitch! I'll give you frostbite so bad you'll feel like you jumped into a volcano!"
"Rio wait!" Shark said as his sister charged at Terra.
Rio ran with revenge in her heart towards Terra, she didn't even notice that Eclipsa was cart wheeling towards her until she was right in front of her. "Move bi-" Rio was interrupted when Eclipsa shifted behind her and gave her a series of quick jabs along her back, and she lost control of her limbs and fell on the ground.
"RIO!" Shark yelled as his sister fell.
Yuma and Tori were in shock at what they saw their former friend do. "What have You done?!" Yuma said as he ran towards Rio.
"Relax, it's just a temporary paralysis." Eclipsa said.
"This has been entertaining… but I've got other places to be." Terra said as she opened a portal and walked towards it.
"Oh no you don't!" Shark said as he started to run towards Terra, but was restricted from getting close by the Duel Anchor Percy put on him.
"Hold it buddy." Percy said. "You're not going anywhere until we have our Duel." Percy said.
"Relax Shark." Terra said. "You and your sister will get a chance to come at me during the finals of the tournament." She said pulling out a complete Heart Piece heart. "Well, assuming you make it to the finals anyway." She said right before she vanished into the portal.
"Here." Eclipsa said as snapped her fingers and two portals opened, one behind Rio and one behind Bronk and Tori.
"Yuma!" Tori said as she and Bronk were sucked in, and Rio was sucking into hers.
"Rio!" Shark yelled as his sister disappeared.
"Relax you two, I sent them to a hospital to get treated. I'm not a monster." Eclipsa then turned towards Astral. "Unlike some people." She then turned towards Yuma. "Don't forget my offer Yuma. Tonight." She then opened up another and walked through it, disappearing.
"Alright, if we're done with the theatrics can we get to the Dueling." Percy said, putting on his Duel Disk and Gazer.
Shark growled. "Fin, but you're gonna regret this!" Shark said as he put his gear on, and Yuma put his Gazer on to watch.

"Let's Duel!" Both Shark and Percy said as they drew their hands.
"I'll start this off! I draw!" Shark drew his card. "I summon Big Jaws!" A torrent of water appeared on the field and Shark's signature mechanical mouth shark swam onto the field.
Big Jaws: Level 3/WATER/Fish/1800 Atk/300 Def
"And with big guy out I can summon Shark Stickers!" Shark summoned out his second fish.
Shark Stickers: Level 3/WATER/Fish/200 Atk/1000 Def
"Now I Overlay my Level 3 Big Jaws and Shark Stickers!" The two fish turned to blue energy and were sucked into the red portal. "With the two monster I build the Overlay Network!"
"I XYZ SUMMON SUBMERSIBLE CARRIER AERO SHARK!"
The large twin shark machine bursted out of ground, ready to take a bite out of something, or rather two bites.
Submersible Carrier Aero Shark: Rank 3/WATER/Fish/1900 Atk/1000 Def
"And this bad boy is about to deal some serious damage! See once per turn I can deal 400 points of damage for every card in my hand! And with four cards you're taking a whopping 1600 points of damage!" Shark's monster absorbed an Overlay Unit and shot out four torpedoes that opened up and each one contained four mini rockets that pelted Percy, dealing massive damage.
Percy: 4000 – 1600 = 2400
"As impressive as ever. Shark really knows how to deal damage!" Yuma said with a smile.
But Astral wasn't smiling as he saw the smile on Percy's face. "He took massive damage and yet he's smiling about it." Astral said.
Percy chuckled. "Thanks Shark. Since I was deal over 1000 points of damage I can summon Gorgonic Hydra!" A large stone creature bursted out of the ground, it had a cylindrical serpent body with a fat top that spouted five serpent heads with red eyes, and let out a loud hissing sound.
Gorgonic Hydra: Level 2/DARK/Rock/600 Atk/500 Def
"And then I can summon up to two Rock-type monsters with different names from my hand, oh, but they must have 500 or less Attack Points so I can only summon one Gorgonic Ghoul!" What came out was a small stone four legged, thing with a red bear trap mouth appeared on the field.
Gorgonic Ghoul: Level 1/DARK/Rock/100 Atk/100 Def
"Whoa, didn't expect that." Yuma said. "Then again, he was in the semis of the Nationals so he's no push over."
"I knew you would pull out that Aero Shark early on for big damage." Percy smiled.
"Don't this just because you've against me you've got an edge. Don't forget, I've battled you too. I end my turn with two face downs!" Shark set his two cards face down.
"Oh I have so many new tricks up my sleeves." Percy said as he drew his card. "Now then, when I have a Gorgonic Ghoul on my field and another in my hand, I can pay 300 Life Points to summon it from my hand!" A second Ghoul appeared next to the first one.
Percy: 2400 – 300 = 2100
Gorgonic Ghoul: Level 1/DARK/Rock/100 Atk/100 Def
"And now I normal summon Gorgonic Cerberus!" A new monster rose up, it was a stone and machine mix of a dog and snake, with three serpent heads that released a hissing sound as their six yellow eyes glowed.
Gorgonic Cerberus: Level 3/DARK/Rock/1300 Atk/300 Def
"And when this beauty is summoned all my monsters become Level 3!" Percy's monster's eyes glowed again, this time looking directly at one of the other three monster, and each of the other ones gained a glowing yellow aura.
Gorgonic Hydra, (X2) Gorgonic Ghoul: Level 3
"Prepare for double the trouble! I Overlay my Level 3 Gorgonic Cerberus and Ghoul! And now my second Gorgonic Ghoul with my Hydra!" All four monster turned to DARK energy and each pair went into two red Overlay Portals.
"I XYZ SUMMON TWO GORGONIC GUARDIANS!"
Two hideous creatures bursted out of the ground. They were stone Naga creatures with dark purple skins with and orange strip down the middle, the monsters had a mess of pink snakes for hair and and each ad one red and one blue eye. Over all they looked like two of the Gorgon sisters from Greek mythology.
(X2) Gorgonic Guardian: Rank 3/DARK/Rock/1600 Atk/1200 Def
Shark out stretched his arm. "Before you go activating those abilities I play the trap Tide Flip!" The trap flipped revealing an upside down picture of an ocean tide with a monster card in it. "This card flips all my face up WATER monster face down, so your little Gorgonic Guardians can't use their abilities! Plus, when one of my WATER monsters are flipped by battle, I can banish this card to save it from destruction and flip it back over! Meaning I'm well protected from damage this turn!" Shark said as a wave emerged from the card that crashed onto Aero Shark that flipped it face down.
Percy smiled. "Oh Sharky, didn't it occur to you that I would have a counter to moves like that?" He then pulled out a card from his hand. "I play Gorgon Charm! This Spell changes any face down monsters to face up mode! And this means you can't use that Tide trap again!" A spell appeared on the field that sent out energy waves that flipped Aero Shark face up again.
Aero Shark: 1000 Def/1900 Atk
"Now I use one Overlay Unit from one of my Gorgonic Guardians to remove all of Aero Shark's Attack Points!" One of Percy's Gorgons absorbed an Overlay Unit into its blue eye, which then glowed and blasted light at Aero Shark, turning it to stone.
Aero Shark: 0 Atk
"And due to my monsters' other ability, all monsters with 0 Attack Points are automatically destroyed!" Both of his Gorgons' red eyes glowed and their snakes extended out and pierced the stone Aero Shark, reducing it to pieces. "Now my Gorgonic Guardians, attack Shark Directly!" His two monsters charged towards Shark, one using its tail to fling Shark into the air, and the other using its tail to force him back onto the ground, who screamed in pain as he took critical damage.
Shark: 4000 – 1600 – 1600 = 800
"Shark!" Yuma yelled as his friend was literally crushed.
"Dealing 3200 points of damage in a single turn… And with those Gorgons abilities…" Astral said in fear that Shark might possibly lose. Then again, this Percy does possess a Crest."
"I place one card face down and end my turn." Percy said with glee as his card appeared on the field.
Shark grunted as he stood up. "This far from finished." He put his hand on his deck. "Draw!" Shark drew his card and smiled, as it was just the card he needed and placed it in his hand. "First I play Teeth Recycle!" The spell showed a picture of a seabed littered with sharks teeth. "I can banish any number of Fish-type monsters from my Graveyard and draw one card for each banished monster, so I banish Big Jaws, Shark Stickers, and Aero Shark to Draw three cards!" Shark drew his three cards, bringing his hand to five. "Next I play Desperate Schooling! Since I have less than 2000 Life Points I can summon as many Fish School Tokens equal to the amount of monsters you control!" His spell manifested on the field, revealing several identical fish swarming together, then two fish identical to the ones on the card swam onto the field.

"Next I tribute my two Tokens to summon Big Whale!" From the ground emerged a gigantic blue sperm whale with six large blowers on the sides.
Big Whale: Level 9/WATER/Fish/1000 Atk/3000 Def
"What's a big fish!" Yuma remarked.
"Technically, whales aren't fish, but yes that's huge." Astral said.
"That thing won't help you!" Percy said, gesturing to his Gorgons.
"Don't bother, because I'm sacrificing Big Whale to summon 3 Level 3 WATER monster from my deck! I summon 3 Starfish!" Shark's monster took a dive into the Graveyard portal, which then glowed and three streams flew out and the Starfish popped out, one red, one blue, and one green.
(X3) Starfish: Level 3/WATER/Aqua/300 Atk/300 Def
"Now I Special Summon a second Shark Stickers!" A small fish swam on the field.
Shark Stickers: Level 3/WATER/Fish/200 Atk/1000 Def
"Now I Overlay my Level 3 Shark Stickers with one Starfish, and the two remaining Starfish with each other!" All four monsters turned to energy and flew into two separate portals, one red and the other gold.
"I XYZ SUMMON BLACK RAY LANCER AND NUMBER 47: NIGHTMARE SHARK!"
Shark's large black armored merman in rose up out of the Overlay Network, twirling its spear and pointing it at Percy. From the second portal rose Shark's Number's sealed form, which bursted and unfolded into the nightmarish creature it was.

Number 47 Nightmare Shark: Rank 3/WATER/Sea Serpent/2000 Atk/2000 Def
"Big deal, I'll just as easily destroy them both with my Gorgonic Guardians!" Percy said as his Gorgonic Guardians prepared to strike.
"That won't work! I activate Black Ray Lancer's ability and activate the spell Ocean Spread!" The spell Shark played had a picture of a beach shore with different tidal levels. "Black Ray Lancer can only target one monster but this spell spreads it to all of your monsters, plus turn Black Ray Lancer into a WATER monster!" A tidal wave appeared behind the field, and Black Ray Lancer absorbed an Overlay Unit and then shot it with its spear energy and the wave hit both the Gorgons, negating their abilities and the Black Ray Lancer's armor gained a bluish hue.
Black Ray Lancer: WATER Attribute
"Alright! Now Shark can destroy those Gorgonic Guardians!" Yuma exclaimed.
"Oh I'll do more than that Yuma!" Shark said with a smile. "Since Black Ray Lancer is now a WATER monster I can use Nightmare Shark's ability one it; the ability to attack directly!" Shark said.
"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed.
"Yes, and Black Ray Lancer has just enough power to wipe out your remaining Life Points!" Shark's Number absorbed an Overlay Unit and Black Ray Lancer Gained an aura. "GO, SHIMMERING SPEAR SLASH!" His monster headed straight for Percy, ready to end this.
Percy smiled. "I play the Trap Gorgonic Gift!" The trap flipped, revealing Gorgonic Guardian receiving a stone orb from another Gorgonic Guardian. "This trap reduces battle damage by 1000 points for each Overlay Unit I remove, so I remove all three!" His monsters' three Overlay Units stopped circling and went into the Grave portal that created a shield that protected him from the damage, then his deck glowed. "Oh, and I get to draw a card for every Overlay Unit, so three cards!" Percy drew his three cards.
"Argh! And since I used Nightmare Shark's ability I can't attack anymore so I end my turn." Shark said. "But without your Overlay Units your Gorgonic Guardians are as useless as statues!"
"Oh I wouldn't bet on that! Draw!" Percy drew his card. "I play Gorgonic Crisis!" The spell's artwork was of Gorgonic Guardian holding its hand over its face and its snake hair extended outwards. "By destroying my two Gorgonic Guardians, I get to draw 2 Cards!" His two monsters blew up and he drew two more cards. "Now I summon Gorgonic Golem, and with that I can also summon Gorgonic Gargoyle!" Two monsters appeared on the field, one was a stone man with green snake hood helmet, and the second on was a purple stone serpent with a base and green eyes, plus made a hissing sound.

Gorgonic Gargoyle: Level 3/DARK/Rock/1000 Atk/800 Def
"So what? You're gonna summon a third Gorgonic Guardian? Won't do you any good since I have two monsters and they both have higher attack points." Shark taunted.
Percy smiled. "Oh shark, I have so many new tricks." Percy's forehead glowed with his red sun Crest. "I activate Gorgonic Pile! This card will raise both my monsters by 2 Level!"
Gorgonic Golem and Gargoyle: Level 5
"Level 5s?" Shark said with curiosity.
Yuma stared at the Crest on Percy's head. "Astral, do you think-"
"Yes Yuma I do." Astral finished. "He's gonna summon a Number."
"I Overlay my Level Gorgonic Golem and Gargoyle!" Then two monsters turned to DARK energy and vanished into the golden portal. "With these two monster I build the Overlay Network!"
I XYZ SUMMON THE ROARING WATERFALL DEITY, NUMBER 73: ABYSS SPLASH!"
A large gold disk with a blue spherical gem in the middle. Several blue orbs emerged and energy formed between them, creating a heavily armored man in dark blue and gold armor with a split white cap. It also had a large golden crown with a blue orb in the center, as well as large golden scepter.
Number 73 Abyss Splash: Rank 5/WATER/Warrior/2400 Atk/1400 Def
"A Number." Shark growled. He then looked up at the Number and felt a sense of familiarity. Almost as if he'd seen that monster before.
"This monster will drown you Shark! I activate Abyss Splash's ability, by using an Overlay Unit his attack points are doubled during this Battle!" Percy's monster absorbed an Overlay Unit into its large center spherical gem and lifted his scepter in the air, creating a large tidal wave in the background of the field.
Abyss Splash Atk: 2400 X 2 = 4800
"Crap! His monster is way more powerful than any of Shark's monsters!" Yuma said.
"Hmm, I know you treasure your Black Ray Lancer." Percy said. "But considering how rare that Number of yours is, I'll destroy it! GO ABYSS, FINAL FALL!" Percy commanded his monster, who lifted his scepter into the air and blasted a dark water like energy stream at Nightmare Shark.
Shark smiled. "I activate the trap Hide and Shark!" Shark yelled and his trap flipped over. "Since my Life Points are under 2000 I can end this Battle by banishing a Shark Monster!" His Nightmare Shark disappeared and Abyss's attack faded. "However, I must give up half my Life Points." A small explosion happened under Shark as he sacrificed his Life Points.
Shark: 800 X 1/2 = 400
Abyss Atk: 4800 X 1/2 = 2400
"You survived." Percy said with a look of disappointment.
"Yeah, and now Hide and Shark restores my Nightmare Shark and add the damage I took to its Attack Points!" Shark's Number returned to the field, but had no Overlay Units.
Nightmare Shark Atk: 2000 + 400 = 2400
"Fine, I place one card face down and end my turn." Percy said as he set his card.
"Then I draw!" Shark drew his card. "First I play Xyz Treasure! I draw a card for every Xyz Monster on the field!" Shark drew three cards. "Next I play Xyz Spawn!" The Spell showed two Xyz Monsters in a black void with two monster coming behind them. "With this I sacrifice both of my Xyz Monsters I get to summon 1 monster for each one who's Level is the same as the Rank of my sacrificed Xyz Monsters, plus one extra for each Overlay Unit they had!" Two Grave portals opened and both of Shark's monsters fell in, and three pillars of light flew out, each one a containing a Starfish.

"And I us one of them to raise the Level of all of them by one!" Shark said as his red Starfish glowed, then the blue and green one glowed as well.
(X3) Starfish: Level 4
"Now I Overlay my three Level 4 Starfish!" His three monsters turned to energy and disappeared into the golden Number portal.
"I XYZ SUMMON THE ULTIMATE PREDATOR OF THE OCEAN, NUMBER 32: Shark Drake!"
Shark's signature Number's sealed form rose up from the portal, then the tooth like form opened up, revealing the terrifying monster everyone feared.
Number 32 Shark Drake: Rank 4/WATER/Sea Serpent/2800 Atk/2100 Def
"You're done Percy!" Shark yelled. "Shark Drake destroy Abyss! DEPTH BITE!" Shark's monster prepared to attack.
"Did you forget about Abyss Splash's ability?!" Percy said. "By using an Overlay Unit his Attack Points are doubled!" His monster absorbed its final Overlay Unit.
Abyss Atk: 2400 X 2 = 4800
Shark smiled. "I hoped you would do that! Because I play Ocean Depression!" Shark's spell showed a monster being crushed be deep sea pressure, and Abyss started to creak too as if under the same pressure. "Whenever your monster's Attack Points increase, I can not only negate them, but reduce it by the same amount again!"
Abyss Atk: 4800 – 2400 -2400 = 0
"You're sunk Percy!" Shark said as his monster blasted Abyss center chest and blew up.
Percy then out his arm. "I play Gorgon Stare!" The trap's art was that of Gorgonic Guardian attacking from behind a set of statues, turning a hero into a sataue. "My Life Points become the same number of Rock-Type monsters with the same Level that I banish times 200! I banish Gorgonic Golem, Gargoyle, and Cerberus!" The Grave portal opened and lightning struck his.
Percy: 600
"But I'm protected from any further damage." Percy said as a shield formed around him, protecting him from the pieces of monster flying towards him.
"Impressive." Astral said. "He decreased his Life Points by so much to preserve having any at all."
"Yeah, and with that trap Shark Drake's ability is useless." Yuma said.
Shark growled. "I end my turned with one card face down." Shark set his card face down.
"Now I draw!" Percy said, and smiled when he saw the card. "I summon Gorgonic Ghoul!" Percy summoned the monster he just drew.
Gorgonic Ghoul: Level 1/DARK/Rock/100 Atk/100 Def
"Next I play Gorgonic Ritual! By banishing my Gorgonic Guardian I can summon 2 Rock-type monsters from my Graveyard in defense mode! I bring back my other two Gorgonic Ghouls!" A Grave portal opened on each side of Ghoul and the other two rose out of them.
Gorgonic Ghoul: 100 Def
"Three Level 1s?" Shark said, feeling he knew Percy's next move.
"Time to show you my true ace!" Percy said with a smile. "I Overlay my three Level 1 Gorgonic Ghouls!" His three monsters turned to dark energy and danced around. "With these three monsters I build the Overlay Network!" His three monsters vanished into the red Overlay portal.
"I XYZ SUMMON THE MIGHTY GORGONIC TITAN!"
From the Overlay portal rose a gargantuan stone warrior with snake designs on the armor. It had a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, and the shield had a Medusa carving on it.
Gorgonic Titan: Rank 1/DARK/Rock/300 Atk/900 Def
"Not very many Attack Points." Shark said.
"Oh but it has a very powerful special ability!" Percy said. "By using an Overlay Unit all your monsters lose their Attack Points and my monster gain 200 Attack Points for each one! OPEN, EYES OF MEDUSA!" His monster's shield glowed and the stone eyes on its shield and blasted Shark Drake with energy that turned it to stone.
Shark Drake: 0 Atk
Gorgonic Titan Atk: 300 + 200 = 500
"Go Titan, attack Shark Drake!" Percy said as his monster swung its sword in the air.
"This is bad, even though Shark Drake won't be destroyed Gorgonic Titan has enough Attack Points to defeat Shark!" Yuma said.
"I play Clear Ocean!" Shark's trap revealed art that showed a huge tsunami wave and several marine life fleeing from below then a huge tsunami engulfing Shark Drake. "This card banishes all my WATER monsters, and as long I have no monsters on the field I can't be attacked!" Shark said as Titan's attack was halted.
"You're only delaying what's coming to you. I end my turn!" Percy exclaimed.
"I draw!" Shark said, he needed to act fast or else he'll lose, then he looked at the card he drew. "This is a risk, but I have to take it. I play Dimensional Open Trench!" The spell's art was that of a battlefield with a trench in the middle and soldiers popping out of a portal in it. "With this spell I get to draw a card, if it is a monster I can summon both it and up to two banished monsters with the an equal or lower Level than the summoned monster. However, if it's not a monster, then I take 1000 points of damage." Shark put his hand on his deck for a second, the drew his card and looked at it. "Yes!" Shark said with a smile! "I Summon Needle Sunfish!" A dark blue sunfish with a line across the middle rose on the field.
Needle Sunfish: Level 3/WATER/Fish/1500 Atk/100 Def
"And now I can bring back Big Jaws and Shark Stickers!" Two green portals and the two sharks swam out of them.
Big Jaws: 1800 Atk/300 Def
Shark Stickers: 200 Atk/1000 Def
"I now Overlay my three Level 3 monsters!" Shark's monsters turned into energy and vanished into the red Overlay Network.
"I XYZ SUMMON THE EMPEROR OF THE SEA, SHARK CAESAR!"
Shark's new monster rose up from a large torrent of water. It looked like a purple anglerfish/shark hybrid with a mini shark head instead of an angler light, and its jaws were permanently opened.
Shark Caesar: Rank 3/WATER/Fish/1800 Atk/2000 Def
"This monster will finish you!" Shark proclaimed.
"Oh I wouldn't say that! GO, EYES OF MEDUSA!" Percy yelled, his monster absorbing another Overlay Unit and opened its Medusa eyes and turned Shark Caesar to stone.
Shark Caesar: 0 Atk
Gorgonic Titan Atk: 500 + 200 = 700
Shark smiled. "That won't save you. I use an Overlay Unit to place a Shark Counter on it!" Shark's monster absorbed its Overlay Unit through its second head and from there to rest of its body it de stoneified. "Whenever Shark Caesar is involved in an attack it gains 1000 Attack Points for Shark Counter during battle! And since I just sent Needle Sunfish to the Graveyard, one of your monsters loses 500 Attack Points!" The Grave portal opened and Needle Sunfish popped out and opened up down the middle, revealing a large set of needles that it then shot out and bombarded Gorgonic Titan, who suffered severe creaks.
Gorgonic Titan Atk: 700 – 500 = 200
"Shit." Percy said as he realized he was all out of cards to play, literally.
"Shark Caesar attack and destroy Gorgonic Titan!" Shark commanded as his monster collected energy in its huge mouth.
Shark Caesar Atk: 0 + 1000 = 1000
"GO SHARK CAESAR! DESTROY GORGONIC TITAN! EMPEROR'S MIGHT!" Shark's monster blasted a hug ball of energy at Titan that reduced it to rubble and sent Percy flying.
Percy: 600 – 800 – 0 (LOSE)
WINNER: Shark
"Aright! Shark won!" Yuma said as he jumped with glee.
Astral smiled at Yuma then looked towards the direction of Shark.
Shark out stretched his hand, which grew red and stretched out into Percy's chest, extracting his Number, and when he did the Crest manifested on Percy's head then disappeared into red glitter dust. Shark looked at the Number in detail then blacked out for a second, then saw he had a sword in his hand and looked up and saw a horde of Gorgonic Guardians bursting out of the water in front of some ship, then heard maniacal laughter. Shark napped back to reality with Yuma putting his hand on his shoulder.
"Um Shark, you okay? You spaced out for a second." Yuma asked.
"Um yeah. I just…" Shark then headed for his bike. "I need to go see Rio that's all." He put on his helmet and quickly left.
"That was odd." Yuma said, then saw Percy running away.
"How the Hell did I get here?" Percy said as he ran off.
Directly above the construction site, in a building Mayura was sitting on the edge with the wind blowing through her pigtails and back neck ribbon. "My my. Shark really went savage on him, I almost feel sorry Percy. But then again, he was never supposed to win in the first place." She smiled, then stood up and walked across the roof top, walking across over two dozen unconscious Duelists. "Poor unfortunate souls. They actually thought they had a chance." You can't Normal Summon the turn you activate this spell. Draw one card, if it's a monster card then you can Summon it to the field, then you can Special Summon up to two banished monsters whose Levels are less than or equal to the monster drawn by this car's effect. If it's a Spell or Trap card, you take 1000 points of damage.
Ocean Spread: Quick-Play Spell
If an Xyz Monster you control's effect would target one specific monster, it can be applied to multiple targets, then your monster becomes a WATER monster.
Ocean Depression: Quick-Play Spell
When an opponent's monster's Atk increases, negate it then reduce it again by the same amount.
Tide Flip: Normal Trap
Flip all your face up WATER monster face down. If a WATER monster you control would be destroyed, you can banish this card from your Graveyard to save it from destruction then flip it face down.
Gorgonic Gift: Normal Trap
If you would take damage, either from battle or by card effect, reduce the damage by 1000 by detaching any number of Xyz Material from any Rock-type Xyz Monsters you control and draw 1 card for each Xyz Material detached.
Gorgon Stare: Normal Trap
Your Life Points become 200 times the number of Rock-type monsters with the same Level but different names you banish with this card's effect, then you take no additional damage this turn.
Clear Ocean: Continuous Trap
Banish all WATER monster you control. As long as you have no monsters on the field, your opponent can't attack. Destroy this card when you Summon a WATER monster.
