Chapter 12
Aura woke up the next day with a yawn as she got out of bed, walking to the mirror that hung on the wall as she looked at her reflection. Littered on Aura's body were light, but noticeable scars that can easily be seen by her white nightgown starting at one that went diagonal on her neck, a few across her collarbone and chest, and several on her arms, legs, and shoulders. The scars are tingling, wonder if it means something. She thought with a frown.
She ran a hand through her slightly spikish brown and gold hair before she changed and began to cook breakfast by the time she finished Klaus was up. "Morning Grandpa." She smiled.
"Mornin' Aura," he yawned, sitting down and sipped his coffee.
"Are you sure working in Bootleg is a good idea for you Grandpa? I mean you look tired." She said worried.
"Only since I work in the night shift and it's good work too." He assured. "Better than the mines I can assure you."
"I guess so." She frowned, biting on her toast.
"Are you alright Aura?" He frowned, looking at her. "You look a little pale."
"Haven't had enough sleep I guess." She shrugged.
"Don't tell me you suddenly got injured again." He began.
"No I'm fine Grandpa." She sighed, standing from her seat. "I'm going to Toru's garage to work on our D-Wheels see ya."
Aura grabbed her hat, jacket, and gloves before leaving the apartment looking at her hand. Those dreams, were they visions? Aki, Rua, and Ruka those same people…
She shook her head as she reached the garage door. I gotta stop thinking about this it has to be a coincidence just a coincidence.
She opened the door walking inside. "Hey Toru." She began to call.
"Hey who are you?!"
Aura looked up surprised to see a young boy in front of her he looked to be 14 or 15 with short brown hair, green eyes, wearing a white jumpsuit that had black lines of an insect on it along with his white helmet, and a red scarf as he glared at her while she blinked at him. "Um sorry is Toru awake?" She asked.
"How do you know big bro?" The kid asked suspiciously.
Big bro? She thought surprised.
"Hey Sect something wrong?"
The two looked up to see Toru coming down the stairs and grinned seeing Aura. "Hey Aura you're up early." He said.
"Someone has to be." She scoffed, but smiled.
"Wait you know her bro?" The kid asked.
"Yeah this is Aura Flood I told you about her before." Toru grinned. "Aura this is Sect Injuin he's a young duelist I took under my wing a year ago."
"You're Aura?!" Sect gaped.
"Yeah that's me nice to meet you." She nodded.
"No way!" Sect said excitedly. "Toru told me about you and your awesome duels even beating Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlas!"
"That was a long time ago." She replied sheepishly.
"But still!" Sect countered. "Oh! And I'm sorry about yelling at you I thought you were a robber or something."
"Don't worry it's fine." She assured.
Then the garage door opened and they saw Misaki walking in. "... Noisey already this morning?" She asked.
"Hey big sis." Sect grinned.
"And nothing out of the ordinary." Toru grinned.
Aura couldn't help but chuckle as Misaki sighed walking to the tools. "Ok so once we give our D-Wheels one final check we'll give them another test run." Toru said.
"Sounds great can't wait to get back on." Aura smiled.
"Sect you'll time us when we ride ok?" Toru replied.
"Got it bro." Sect nodded.
"...Oh."
They looked at Misaki who had spoke up looking at the tools. "Something wrong Misaki?" Aura asked.
Misaki turned holding an unfamiliar tool in her hands. "... This is Yusei's." She replied.
"He must've forgot it here yesterday." Toru remarked. "Aura why don't you bring it to him."
"But I don't know where Yusei lives." Aura frowned.
"Yusei lives with Jack and Crow at Fountain Plaza his garage is around the corner." Sect replied.
Aura looked at Sect surprised. "How do you?" She began.
"Pretty much everyone knows." Sect shrugged.
Aura sweatdropped but shrugged. "Alright well I'll go then." She said, taking the tool.
She walked out the garage and headed out of the DAImon Area and finding Fountain Plaza as she looked around. "Wow so nice with even a clock at the center." She hummed. "Now Sect said the garage was around the-!"
*BOOM*
Aura jumped quickly seeing smoke pour out from a building after an explosion. "Wh-what?" She blinked.
Se quickly went to the building opening the door and coughed by the smoke using her hat to wave off the smoke walking down the stairs to hear familiar voices.
"It's your fault for pushing it to extremes!"
"What?! You're the one who wanted the accelerator at full throttle!"
"Jack, Crow? Yusei?" She voiced up.
The three looked up surprised to see Aura walking to them. "Aura what are you doing here?" Crow asked surprised.
"To see you guys, Yusei left his tool at Toru's garage." She said, holding it out.
"Oh I was wondering where it went." Yusei said, taking the tool. "Thanks for bringing it Aura."
"No problem." She said, looking around. "What happened here?"
"We were testing an engine but it exploded." Yusei sighed.
"Explains the smoke." She coughed.
"Yeah and it's all Jack's fault." Crow frowned.
"You're at fault too!" Jack snapped.
"You guys again!"
Aura yelped surprised by the loud shout turning to see a strict elderly women coming down. "Zora!" Crow gulped.
"What a nasty granny." Jack scowled.
"How dare you say that! Im letting you stay because you know Martha!" Zora snapped.
"Martha?" Aura whispered.
"Our foster mother." Yusei whispered back.
"If you're going to cause trouble then leave!" Zora scowled.
"Wait! This was an accident! The new engine!" Crow began.
"Making excuses already? A real man takes responsibility for his actions!" Zora snapped.
"Um Zora-san they didn't mean to cause trouble it really was an accident." Aura spoke up.
Zora faced Aura surprised. "Who are you?" She questioned.
"Oh I'm Aura Flood I'm a friend of theirs." Aura said, taking off her hat and politely bowed.
"Oh I didn't know the boys had another pretty polite girl as a friend." Zora smiled.
Aura blushed embarrassed by the compliment clearing her throat. "Um, how about I help the guys clean up and make sure they don't cause any trouble." She suggested.
"Oh that would be much appreciated Aura thank you so much." Zora smiled.
With that Zora left and Aura breathed a sigh. "That was close." She sighed.
"You have our thanks Aura." Jack replied.
"Yeah Zora always chew me and Jack out she only likes Yusei." Crow sighed.
"You know that's not true Crow." Yusei told his foster brother.
I think otherwise. Aura thought with a sweatdrop, before speaking up.
"So why are you guys building an engine for anyway?"
"For the WRGP of course." Jack answered.
"WRGP?" She questioned confused.
"World Riding Grand Prix it's a 3 person riding team." Yusei told her, showing the poster. "We're planning to enter it but we need a new engine to do so."
"This must be some tournament." She remarked, thinking.
No doubt Toru will want us to join too once he hears about it.
"Hey Yusei you guys in here?"
They looked up to see Mikage and Ushio at the door coming in and the two noticed Aura. "Who's this?" Ushio asked curiously.
"This is Aura Guardian Flood a friend of ours that moved to the City a few days ago." Yusei replied. "Aura this is Mikage Sagiri and Tetsu Ushio they work in Sector Security."
"It's nice to meet you both." Aura smiled.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Aura." Mikage smiled.
"Same here." Ushio nodded.
"So why do you want to talk to us?" Jack asked.
"Have you heard the rumors about Ghost?" Ushio asked.
"Ghost?" Yusei questioned.
"I heard about him." Crow replied. "He appears on the highways at night challenging people to a duel and causes them to crash."
"That's horrible." Aura gasped shocked.
"And the biggest problem is his method." Mikage frowned.
"His method?" Aura questioned.
"In a normal riding duel there can never be an accident that hurts the opponent." Mikage explained.
"So Ghost is using an illegal method to make the opponent crash?" Jack questioned.
"That's exactly what it means Atlas-sama." Mikage nodded.
"Atlas-sama? Come on chief." Ushio muttered.
"I better go tell Toru and Misaki." Aura frowned. "Thanks for the info!"
Quickly Aura left hurrying back to Toru's garage where Misaki was typing on the computer and Toru and Sect where cleaning the D-Wheels, Toru looked up. "Hey Aura did you-? Is something wrong? You look worried." He frowned.
"It's what I heard over there." Aura frowned.
She explained to them what Mikage had told her and they frowned in worry. "Bro." Sect spoke.
"Ghost huh? We better keep a watch but so long as we don't ride at night we'll be fine." Toru replied.
Aura only nodded still worried.
A white machine like monster towered over Yusei launching ropes of light latching onto Stardust Dragon absorbing it and went to attack Yusei with its menacing blade.
Aura gasped sitting up from her bed panting heavily a light sheen of sweat on her, feeling her body shaking she looked seeing her hand was shaking she slowly got out of bed not to wake up Klaus and changed to her riding suit leaving for Toru's garage and rode off on her D-Wheel. Ugh, my head. Just what was that thing I saw in my dream? She thought frowning.
She continued to ride to clear her head when she noticed a familiar D-Wheel. "Oh that's." She remarked.
She rode next to the D-Wheel seeing the rider. "Hey Crow." She called.
Crow looked up surprised to see Aura. "Aura! Why are you doing up?" He asked.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" She asked amused.
"Heh fair enough, I'm just finishing a few deliveries for the night." He replied.
"So finishing up a job makes sense I-! Huh?" She blinked shocked.
They looked across another rode and stopped to see an ambulance and Sector Security and gasped horrified to see who was on the stretcher. "Ushio-san!" Aura gasped.
"No way…" Crow gaped shocked.
"Let's follow them to the hospital." She spoke.
He nodded and they quickly rode their D-Wheels to follow the ambulance.
Aura and Crow sat with Mikage while Ushio was in Emergency Care when they heard the doors swung open they looked up to see Yusei and Jack rushing in with Toru and Misaki. "Yusei, Jack!" Crow spoke, standing.
"Glad you guys showed up." Aura replied weakly, standing as well.
"Is it true that someone hurt Ushio?" Jack demanded.
"Yes." Mikage confirmed.
"How is he?" Yusei questioned.
"Still in the middle of Emergency Treatment." Aura frowned, shaking her head. "But he looked seriously hurt."
Toru rubbed Aura's back her giving him a thankful smile before they heard wheels and looked to see a heavily bandaged Ushio being pushed by two assistants. "Ushio!" Yusei yelled, as they ran to him.
"Move out of the way." The assistant yelled at them.
"Ushio, what happened?!" Yusei questioned.
Ushio winced painfully before he opened his unbandaged eye. "Yusei, don't use Synchros against Ghost." He spoke weakly.
"Synchro?" Aura questioned confused.
"Don't talk! Let's go!" The assistants quickly pushed Ushio in the emergency room they were silent before Jack spoke to Mikage. "Why did you let Ushio do that?" He questioned her.
"He felt that we shouldn't rely on you anymore." Mikage admitted. "So he used himself as bait. It's all my fault."
They all frowned looking at one another.
"Damn!"
Crow slammed his fist on the wall angrily they were all in the garage at Fountain Plaza after leaving the hospital Aura and her friends coming with them to talk. "It's my fault that Ushio is hurt!" Crow yelled, angry at himself. "If I just said that we would cooperate…"
"Crow…" Aura frowned, gently touching his shoulders.
"Stop it, Crow what's done is done." Yusei frowned. "Since Ushio is badly hurt, that means Ghost is very skilled."
"So we should stay here and sit quietly?!" Crow demanded.
Crow then yelped and caught his helmet that was tossed to him. "I never said that we should stay here, and sit quietly Crow!" Yusei corrected.
"We're the only ones good enough to get his revenge." Jack agreed.
"We'll go with you guys too." Toru replied, Misaki nodding in agreement.
"Toru we appreciate the sentiment but." Yusei began.
"Forget it Yusei we're coming with you guys what Ghost did was unforgivable." Aura frowned, touching her temple. That monster I wonder…
"Alright but make sure to be careful." Yusei sighed.
"Of course." Toru grinned.
"Yes, yes." Aura replied, nonchalantly.
"... Let's go." Misaki spoke.
They all got on their D-Wheels and sped off on the roads, before splitting up Aura looked around. "So far no sign of Ghost…" She frowned, remembering her dream. "Yusei if Ghost finds you first…"
"So you've been receiving the visions, Priestess."
Aura gasped quickly looking to the side to see a bloody red D-Wheel next to her the D-Wheeler wearing a dark red and black riding suite and black helmet. "But it seems you haven't awaken." He remarked.
"What are you talking about? Who are you?" She demanded.
"All will be revealed Priestess but first." The D-Wheeler pressed a button on his D-Wheel. "We must see your strength."
"Duel Mode on." The robotic voice spoke, as Aura's duel mode activated.
"Eh?!" She gasped.
"Let's duel Priestess!" He yelled. "Field Spell Speed World 2 set on!"
"Tch! Guess I have no choice." She scowled.
They then quickly made a sharp turn on an authorized duel lane.
"Riding Duel! Acceleration!"
"I'll go first, draw!" He yelled. "I summon the tuner monster Celestial Swordsman!"
A robotic celestial swordsman appeared on the field with a faint glow. (Celestial Swordsman, Level: 1, Types: Warrior/Tuner, Attribute: LIGHT, ATK/DEF: 500/300. ? LP: 4000, Aura's LP: 4000)
"And since I now have a Celestial monster on my field. I can Special Summon Celestial Bowman from my hand!" The D-Wheeler yelled, as the celestic bowman appeared on the field. (Celestial Bowman, Level: 1, Types: Warrior/Effect, Attribute: LIGHT, ATK/DEF: 300/200)
"Now I tune level 1 Celstial Swordsman with level 1 Celestial Bowman!" He yelled. "Celestial Messenger who governs the song of Heaven create harmony from that melody! Synchro Summon! Celestial Tuner!" And appearing from the green light was the celestial synchro monster as it flew next to the D-Wheeler. (Celestial Tuner, Level: 2, Types: Warrior/Synchro/Effect, Attribute: LIGHT, ATK/DEF: 900/600)
"A level 2 Synchro monster with only 900 ATK points?" She frowned.
"With Celestial Tuner on the field only Synchro monsters can attack." He replied. "I place two cards face down and end my turn. Now it's your move Priestess." (?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 5, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 4000)
"Hmph my turn draw!" She yelled. (?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 6, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 4000, Aura/? SC: 0-1)
So he's making this into a Synchro battle, those facedowns are an issue but I can only fight. She thought, taking a card. "I Normal Summon Aurastar, Tabbi the Creature Tamer!"
Tabbi appeared on the field cheerfully with a wink moving next to Aura. (Aurastar, Tabbi the Creature Tamer, Level: 4, Attribute: EARTH, Types: Warrior/Effect, ATK/DEF: 1600/1000. ?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 5, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 4000, Aura/? SC: 1)
"Tabbi's effect! When she's been Normal Summoned I can Special Summon a Beast or Winged Beast Type monster from my hand! I Special Summon the tuner monster Aurastar Scarlet Leopard!"
Tabbi whistled calling Scarlet Leopard as it appeared on the field in a run growling lowly. (Aurastar Scarlet Leopard, Level: 3, Attribute: DARK, Types: Beast/Tuner/Effect, ATK/DEF: 1200/500. ?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 4, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 4000, Aura/? SC: 1)
"Level 3 Scarlet Leopard tunes with level 4 Tabbi!" Aura yelled, as Scarlet Leopard jumped to become three green rings and Tabbi went through them glowing transparent. "Fallen angel graze your wings and defeat your enemy! Synchro Summon! Descend Aurastar, Bloodedge Fallen Angel!"
In a shower of black feathers Bloodedge flew out from the light and onto the field flying next to Aura with his red and black Aura shining. (Aurastar Bloodedge, Fallen Angel, Level: 7, Attribute: DARK, Types: Warrior/Synchro/Effect, ATK/DEF: 2500/2000. ?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 4, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 4000, Aura/? SC: 1)
"Battle! Bloodedge attack Celestial Tuner!" She yelled, Bloodedge flying forward.
"Celestial Tuner's effect! When this card battles its ATK is doubled!" He yelled, as Celestial Tuner glowed. (Celestial Tuner ATK: 900 - 1800)
"That isn't enough to stop Bloodedge! Go now Dark Onslaught!" She yelled.
Raising his spear Bloodedge flew swiftly slashing Celestial Tuner and destroying it. (?'s LP: 4000 - 3300)
"Bloodedge's effect! When he destroys a monster on your field; you take 500 points of damage! Hell Spike!" She yelled, as Bloodedge launched sharped wings at him. (?'s LP: 3300 - 2800)
"Hmph though impressive but not enough! I activate my trap card Rampaging Binary Stars, Level 2!" He yelled. "I can activate this trap when Synchro monsters on the field have battled and one has been destroyed."
So that's why he made me Synchro Summon. She thought.
"From my hand I Special Summon as many level 2 monsters of the same name as possible in ATK mode! I Special Summon 2 level 2 Celestial Mages!" He yelled, as three mages appeared on the field. (Celestial Mages, Level: 2, Types: Spellcaster/Effect, Attribute: LIGHT, ATK/DEF: 1400/100. ?'s hand: 0, Aura's hand: 4, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 1)
"I then activate my second trap! The continuous trap Saints Ticket! For every monster Special Summoned on the field the player gets to draw one card! I Special Summoned 2 monsters so I draw 2 cards!" He yelled. "Now comes the second effect of Rampaging Binary Stars, Level 2! It destroys all the monsters summoned by its effect at the end of the turn and you take damage equal to the sum of their ATK!"
"What?!" She gasped.
"Celestial Mage has 1400 ATK and since I Special Summoned 2 you'll take 2800 points of damage." He smirked.
"So then Celestial Tuner was bait in order to use Rampaging Binary Star and deal massive effect damage." She scowled. "I place a card facedown and end my turn." (?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 3, Aura's LP: 4000, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 1)
"And with that by Rampaging Binary Star's effect you take 2800 points of damage." He smirked, as the card shot a beam hitting Aura.
"Ahh!" She cried out, as her LPs dropped. (Aura's LPs: 4000 - 1200)
"I expected more out of you Priestess. Can you truly protect anyone like this?" He questioned.
"What the hell are you going on about? And quit calling me Priestess I got a name!" She snapped.
"Oh I'm well aware but you should know of your title by now." He replied lightly. "My turn draw!" (?'s hand: 3, Aura's hand: 3, Aura's LP: 1200, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 1 - 2)
"My title? What do you-?" She began.
"Aura!"
Aura gasped looking at her screen to show Toru's face. "Yusei is dueling Ghost right now!" Toru yelled.
"What?!" She gasped shocked.
"We're hurrying to where he is, you come too!" He told her.
"Even if I wanted to I can't I'm in a situation at the moment." She frowned. "What's the situation in the duel?"
"Right now Ghost summoned some kind of robot monster I think you can see it where you are." He told her.
She blinked then looked at another rode and gasped horrified upon seeing a familiar robot monster standing in front of Stardust Dragon. "That monster!" She gasped.
"Meklord Emperor."
She looked up at the D-Wheeler who was also looking at the monster. "That is the hunter of Synchros and the killer of the future." He told her.
"Synchro hunter?" She questioned.
"See for yourself." He pointed.
She followed his gaze and watched horrified as the monster launched ropes of light grabbing Stardust Dragon. "Stardust Dragon!" She yelled, before she gasped feeling as if something was clutching her body. Wh-What is this sensation?!
She watched as the monster absorbed Stardust Dragon just as it did in her dream. "N-No way…!" She gasped.
"That monster steals Synchro monsters and uses their power against them it is a terrible and frightening opponent." He said, before pointing at her. "And as you are now you are unable to defeat it let alone protect your Signers from it!"
"What?!" She snapped. Signers? As in Yusei and the others? What Godwin called them… But how does this guy know?!
"I Summon Celestial Undertaker!" He yelled, as the coffin like monster appeared on the field. (Celestial Undertaker, Level: 1, Types: Warrior/Effect, Attribute: LIGHT, ATK/DEF: 0/0. ?'s hand: 2, Aura's hand: 3, Aura's LP: 1200, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 2)
"When Undertaker has been successfully summoned I can Special Summon 1 level 1 monster from the GY." He said. "I call back Celestial Swordsman!" The swordsman tuner reappeared onto the field once again.
"And since I Special Summoned a monster Saints Ticket lets me draw a card." He replied, drawing another card. "Now level 1 Celestial Swordsman tunes with level 1 Celestial Undertaker!"
Another level 2 Synchro Monster? She thought.
"Grasp the strings of Heaven and control the denizens of the Underworld!" He yelled. "Synchro Summon! Appear, Celestial Double Star Shaman!" And the shaman celestial monster appeared from the green light of the summoning. (Celestial Double Star Shaman, Level: 2, Types: Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect, Attribute: LIGHT, ATK/DEF: 100/800. ?'s hand: 3, Aura's hand: 3, Aura's LP: 1200, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 2)
"Saints Ticket lets me draw another card and Double Star Shaman's effect activates! When I successfully summoned Double Star Shaman I can Special Summon as many level 2 monsters as possible from my GY! I only have one so entrust yourself to Heaven's strings and rise from the grave Celestial Tuner!" He yelled, as his first level 2 Synchro monster reappeared on the field.
"Now he has four monsters and with Saints Ticket he draws another card." She frowned, watching him draw another card. "Now he has 5 cards in his hand."
"Now I activate the Speed Spell Double Summon! When I have 2 or more SC I can Normal Summon once again this turn." He spoke.
"What?!" She gasped.
"So I Normal Summon another Celestial Mage!" He called, as another Mage appears on the field.
"5 monsters on the field." She gaped. "But their attack isn't high enough to beat Bloodedge!"
"Hmph you truly don't see the true worth of my field." He smirked. "You see when Double Star Shaman is used to Synchro Summon it counts as a tuner monster!"
"A tuner monster too?!" She gaped.
"I tune level 2 Double Star Shaman with the three level 2 Celestial Mages and level 2 Celestial Tuner!" He yelled, as the five monsters were enveloped in a white light glowing transparent before becoming stars. "Heaven! Fate! Principal of all phenomena! Ride the spinning wheel of Heaven and manifest here! Synchro Summon! Descend Ascension Sky Dragon!"
Aura gaped in shock and awe upon the white dragon coming down from above roaring. (Ascension Sky Dragon, Level: 10, Attribute: LIGHT, Types: Dragon/Synchro/Effect, ATK/DEF: ?/3000. ?'s hand: 3, Aura's hand: 3, Aura's LP: 1200, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 2)
"U-Unknown ATK?" She blinked stunned.
"With Saints Ticket I draw a card and Ascension Sky Dragon's effect gives it 1000 ATK for every card in my hand." He smirked. "I have 4 cards to my dragon gains 4000 ATK!" (Ascension Sky Dragon, ATK: ? - 4000. ?'s hand: 4, Aura's hand: 3, Aura's LP: 1200, ? LP: 2800, Aura/? SC: 2)
"4000 ATK?!" She gasped.
"Battle! Ascension Sky Dragon attack Bloodedge the Fallen Angel! Ultimate Ascending Wave!" He yelled, as the white dragon readied the blast. "Priestess you must overcome your chains and bring out your true power!"
"Tch! Trap activate! Aurastar Intermission! By sending an Aurastar card from my hand to the GY damage I take is halved until the end of the turn! I send Aurastar Fan Maiden to the GY!" She yelled.
The spirit of Fan Maiden appeared shielding Aura from the shockwave of the attack as Bloodedge was destroyed. "UGH!" She winced. (Aura's LP: 1200 - 450)
"Fan Maiden's effect! When she's sent to the GY from my hand by card effect I can Special Summon her to the field!" Aura added, as Fan Maiden appeared. "And because of Saints Ticket I can draw a card!"

"Hmm so you still have some fight in you." He smirked, amused turning his head. "Though so do your Signers."
"Eh?" She blinked.
She followed his gaze and gasped to see Stardust Dragon managing to escape from the Meklord monster being used to Synchro Summon a new dragon. "Yusei." She smiled relieved. Then she felt a warm pulse on her arm making her look and was stunned to see it glow red. "What?!"
"It seems it'll be over so I best leave." The D-Wheeler replied, pressing a button on his D-Wheel.
She looked at him shocked before looking at her screen to see the 'Called Off' sign. "What?" She gaped.
Their monsters disappeared as the D-Wheeler stopped as she did so as well and got off her D-Wheel. "Why did you stop the duel?" She demanded.
"This duel was meant to be a lesson for you." He told her.
"Lesson?" She questioned.
"As you are now you can't hope to defeat the Meklord let alone protect your Signers from the dangers that lay ahead. It is time for you to awaken your true powers Priestess." He said. "Open your mind and become one with the wind!"
"Who are you?! How do you know about the Signers? And what do you mean by powers?!" She yelled.
"I am someone guided by the stars for the sake of the future." He replied, turning away. "We shall meet again."
With that the D-Wheeler sped off leaving Aura shocked.
"It's a Ridingroid that Security is currently developing."
"Ridingroid?"
It was the morning everyone including Ushio and Mikage along with Aura, Misaki, Sect, and Toru were in the garage at Fortune Plaza with Ushio recognizing the robot that was Ghost. "It's a robot that handles D-Wheel violations." Ushio explained.
"The test machine was stolen about ten days ago." Mikage added. "I'm surprised that it was Ghost."
"Who did this?" Jack questioned.
"We don't know. Real damage from dueling… A test robot stolen from Security… There are a lot of mysteries." Ushio frowned.
That's not all… Aura thought with a frown.
She walked out of the garage arms crossed and a frown on her face.
"As you are now you can't hope to defeat the Meklord let alone protect your Signers from the dangers that lay ahead. It is time for you to awaken your true powers Priestess." He said. "Open your mind and become one with the wind!"
How does he know about that robot monster? Not only that but knowing of the Signers and also… She looked at her arm that had glowed touching it. Those dreams and that glow… Ugh! My head is splitting!
She removed her hat to rub her head that was throbbing of a headache.
"Aura?"
She flinched turning to face Yusei who looked at her with concern. "Oh it's you Yusei." She muttered.
"Are you alright? You left suddenly." He frowned.
"It's just a headache needed air." She sighed, placing her hat back on.
"Something tells me there's more to it." He frowned.
She looked at him and smiled amused.
"You can read me like a book, huh?" She chuckled. "I faced off against an unknown Duelist while you were dueling Ghost."
"Oh?" Yusei wondered. "What did they want?"
"It's… Complicated. He said that he was testing me, trying to get me to bring out my true power as he said." She frowned, touching her arm. "Calling me Priestess, calling you guys Signers."
"Signers? Aura." He began. But she held up her hand to stop him.
"Relax Yusei I… I know Signers to the Crimson Dragon. Right?" At this he looked at her shocked.
"How could you possibly know?" He questioned.
"You won't believe me if I told you." She sighed.
"Considering all the crazy stuff that's occurred so far? It's highly likely that I'll believe you." Yusei replied. She chuckled.
"Fair enough. After we met and I left Satellite two and a half years ago I began having these… Dreams." She admitted. "The Fortune Cup, the war, I saw it all through these dreams."
"How is that possible?" He questioned shocked.
"Don't know honestly. I thought I was going crazy when I first had those dreams until I saw the Fortune Cup on TV. Nearly had a heart attack, like when I saw Kiryu as a Dark Signer." She sighed.
"You saw that…" He frowned.
"Yeah… I wanted to help you guys but I didn't have any mode of transportation and I still hesitated I just…" She sighed, clutching her arm tightly. "I'm sorry…"
"It's fine Aura." Yusei retorted. "We managed to stop the Dark Signers in the end."
"Yeah you did but this guy… He knows something I don't know about this Priestess title I think it has something to do with the Crimson Dragon and he even knew about that Meklord Emperor too." She frowned. "He said that the duel was a lesson to get to me awaken my power in order to protect you guys from this new threat."
He walked to her placing a hand on her shoulder.
"If there's anything we can do to help you Aura just tell us you're our friend after all." He told her.
She looked at him before giving a smile gently placing a hand on his own.
"Thanks Yusei I appreciate it. It really helps to talk to someone about this." She smiled.
"Of course. And I'm glad we have someone who will fight with us." He smiled.
"Yeah this time I'm with you guys for the long haul." She grinned.
