Momo was the only girl at practice. It has only been a few days since Ai was transferred. Rin was even bossier than ever, but she assumed it was because he missed Ai… which according to Ai, was a happy departing. She could only assume as Ai turned very pink, almost red, as she retold her the story.
"You okay?" a deep voice startled her, making her jump. Momo turned to see Sousuke standing there. "You're being awfully quiet…"
"Yeah, I just miss Ai," Momo replied, shuffling closer to him. "It's not the same. I'm in a dorm by myself."
"At least you'll be back to a boy in a few days," Sousuke pointed out. "That's something to look forward to."
"Yeah," Momo smiled, before giggling. "At least I won't get weird looks from everyone when I go beetle-hunting."
"See? You're looking forward…"
"Want to come with me this afternoon for a hunt? I need someone tall!" Momo asked, with stars in her eyes.
"What? No!" Sousuke exclaimed.
"Why not?" Momo whined.
"Because it's weird," Sousuke simply stated.
"I'm weird and I'm proud!" Momo yelled, hands on her hips glaring at him.
"What's going on with the shouting?" a voice startled Momo, making her jump. She saw that it was Rin with his arms crossed.
"Nothing. Just someone refuses to go beetle hunting with me," Momo replied, glaring pointedly at Sousuke.
"I told you; it's weird," Sousuke huffed, turning away from the girl. He walked away while Momo glared a hole in his back. His nice, rippling muscled back…
"He's right: It's weird." Rin's voice brought Momo out of her daze. She turned to pout at her captain.
"Ai didn't think it was weird…" She walked off to the locker room. Suddenly, she didn't feel like swimming for the rest of the practice and left.
