Sherlock - ABC:
A man like that sure is something else.
Before I knew it, I felt drawn to him.
Clever, that he was, but there was something more to.
During his visits, I always kept looking over at him.
Even though his looks were good, it was the brain I admired the most.
Fantastic, I thought, as I watched him.
Genius.
How else to describe Sherlock Holms.
Instead of writing books he chose to put his talent to use.
Just observing, noticing what others didn't.
Knowing the facts about things I didn't even know existed.
Later I learned that although he did well, he didn't feel that well himself.
Many times I was called up in the night by Watson; looking for his friend.
Not that I could help much.
Only Sherlock knows Sherlock.
Perhaps that is his biggest curse?
Quietly sitting by himself and thinking because he thought nobody could understand him?
Relying only on himself to save the day.
Sometimes I think that I've gotten closer to him.
That's until another case comes along and I see him run out the door.
Unknowingly, he hurts me a bit.
Verifying my fears and my uncertainty.
Will I ever be someone he can put his trust in?
X-ray machines can't see through ones mask.
Yet, that is what I secretly wish to do.
Zip him up and see who he really is.
