The sun was setting over Academia, sinking lower and lower painting the ocean surrounding the island a bloody red. His color. How long had it been since he had been brought here? Since he had been released from his imprisonment from within a Duel Monsters card, the young man didn't have a recollection of who he was. All he can remember is his own name that he meticulously traces over and over his palms. 'Hikage'.

He continued to gaze out at the ocean from his perch on one the castle's upper walls, fingers clasped neatly over his lap. Someone is here, has been here, for a while now, watching him. But he doesn't mention it. If that person wants to say something, let them. He just wants to admire the sky before he gets called in to the inner corridors of Academia.

A moment passed before the presence decided to announce themselves. "My, my. I thought you'd be trying to escape again." Hikage spared his visitor a look and he sighed, shifting his weight so that he was facing him. "Oh? Not even going to try to hit me?" He had, in the past, but the ninja knew that it would do no good. Despite his looks, Yuuri was an exceptional fighter.

"What do I owe this honor, Yuuri-sama?" the honorific is heavily laced with sarcasm, and Yuuri grinned. The Academia prodigy simply shrugged his shoulders and moved past Hikage to rest his elbows on the stony surface of the castle's wall.

"I often come up here when I'm not busy." Hikage turned his head away from him and hopped down from the ledge to leave but Yuuri grabbed his wrist. "Leaving so soon? I just got here after all."

Pulling his arm free from Yuuri's grasp, Hikage rubbed his arm where his duel disk had once been and scowled. "You were standing there for a while."

"Always attentive aren't you? How I wish you had been born in this dimension, you would have made a fine soldier." He paused, his eyebrows knitting, a pensive look on his face. "How about we make a deal for you to go home?"

They had talked for a bit more after that before Yuuri finally let Hikage leave. The ninja wandered through the empty hallways in a daze, mulling over the 'offer' Yuuri had given him.

Bring back that girl for me and I'll restore what you have lost.

What had he lost? Did he have someone waiting for him? His head was beginning to hurt. Bringing up a hand to massage his temple, he saw a flicker of light streaming through the curtains of a large bay window. Without thinking, he pulled the curtain back, revealing the light of the moon. He didn't know why but something about it made him sad. 'Hikage. Hikage. Hikage.' He's subconsciously tracing his name again when he feels that his mask is getting strangely damp.

Lowering the mask, he catches a tear drop with a finger. "Why?" he stares up at the moon, seeking an answer he knows he won't receive. So he wipes his eyes and draws the drapes, tears still streaming down his face.

A/N: Initially, it was going to be Sora speaking with Hikage, but I changed it at the last moment to Yuuri. Because reasons.
