The blond abruptly shot out of his bed, causing him to tumble over the edge and hit the floor. Cursing under his breath as he got untangled from his sheets, he looked at the doorway to see Sakura standing there hands on her hips and glaring at the blonde.
"What is it, Sakura-chan?"
Rolling her jade eyes, she replied, "did you forget that we have a mission today or what? I swear sometimes you are such an idiot! Get dressed, I'll be waiting in the living room.
As she left, she could hear Naruto muttering about "abusive girls" and "interrupting good dreams" as he got up and found his orange pants. After sniffing them to make sure that they were clean, he put them on hopping from one foot to the other as he tried to find a clean undershirt. Finding his jacket in his closet, he put it on as he headed out into the living area, where Kakashi and Sakura were waiting.
He rolled his eyes at Sakura's expression as she looked around the small apartment, where ramen cups lay on the table. "Naruto, do you ever clean your apartment?" Naruto just stuck out his tongue and whined, "Sakura-chan, it's not that dirty! I'm gonna clean it when we back."
Kakashi just smirked at the blond as they got up from the couch and watched as Naruto locked the apartment behind him and put the key in his backpack. Turning to the silver haired Jounin, Naruto asked, "So Kakashi-sensei, what exactly are we doing?"
"It's a simple C-rank escort mission. Kind of reminds you of our first mission together, ne?" Kakashi frowned as he saw the sadness in Sakura's eyes and, more surprising to the copy nin, slight lust tinging the blond's eyes before it disappeared. Storing that piece of information in his mind for later, Kakashi made a mental note to pull Naruto to the side a little later to see how he was doing since Sasuke had left the village. And with that thought they collected the person and left the village.
They had been travelling in relative silence for the better part of the day, stopping once the sun started to set in order to set up camp. Kakashi decided that now would be a good time to pull the blond to the side. "Naruto, come help me with the water." After a second, the blonde complied, walking with his sensei in a companionable silence for a few minutes as they made their way to the stream.
"So Naruto, how have you been holding up? I know you and Sasuke were just starting to really get the whole teammate thing," Kakashi asked, watching with interest as that sadness and lust flickered back into the blond's eyes before disappearing and being replaced by a cool indifference. "I'm doing okay. I mean I do miss him; he was one of the first people to accept me besides Iruka-sensei and besides that, he was the first guy to steal my heart and my-" As if remembering who he was talking to, he cut himself off, blushing a deep crimson red in embarrassment.
Smirking, Kakashi teased, "Why Naru-chan, I didn't know you were into boys." The silver haired jounin enjoyed as the fox blushed even harder all the while putting the pieces together. He was surprised on one hand that his two male students were possibly physically involved and the fact of the love triangle that was so evident between his two current pupils and his former one, but he wasn't so surprised that Sasuke was perhaps not interested in girls at all; it would completely explain why he ignored every attempt that Sakura made to get his attention. "So, am I to assume that you and little Sasu-chan had a thing going, Naru-chan?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. But If you tell anyone about anything that we've talked about Kakashi-sensei, I'll kill you!" the blond said, narrowing his eyes at the older man, before muttering to himself, although Kakashi heard him clearly. "Sasu-teme's going to kill me if he ever finds out that I told anyone after I said I wouldn't."
Quickly gathering the water and returning to camp, nothing more was said as they retired for the night and Kakashi took the night watch while many thoughts ran through his head about his students, both current and former.
As they settled down for the night, no one seemed to notice the two pairs of eyes, one a curious golden and the other a heated obsidian.

Orochimaru's calculating yet amused snake like golden eyes glanced at the young Uchiha beside him seethe in quiet anger at what they had overheard at the water's edge.
'So Sasuke-kun is interested in the Nine tails Jinchuuriki. How interesting,' Orochimaru thought to himself.
As the two ravens walked back to their base a couple of miles away, Orochimaru finally spoke up. "So you're into the Nine-tails Jinchuuriki then?"
Sasuke didn't need to ask who the elder man was talking about; Orochimaru had explained to him all about Naruto and the other eight Jinchuuriki and the lives that most if not all of them led. He didn't answer the question. Instead he settled on silence. Just before they were to enter the base, Sasuke spoke up. "I promise that I'll do anything you want if you promise to leave Naruto alone."
Orochimaru was silent for a minute as they entered into the base and he led the young Uchiha to his personal chambers. Once they were alone once again, he spoke up. He didn't know what it was about the blond that had the younger so captivated but he couldn't pass up this opportunity to get what he wanted out of this situation. "Okay Sasuke-kun. I leave your little fox alone. But I fully expect you to fulfill your end of this little bargain."
The long haired raven watched as the younger raven simply nodded his head before walking out of the room to head to his own chambers.

It was around midnight when Kakashi's attention was peaked by a twitch from his left. He turned his head to see Naruto moving on his bedroll. Silver eyebrow raised, the jounin asked quietly, "Naruto, is something wrong?"
The blond in question stilled when the question was spoken before turning to face his sensei. "The fox is bothering me. I think Sasuke-teme is somewhere nearby." Kakashi was taken aback. How could he possibly know that his raven haired ex-teammate was nearby their location. Quickly and quietly, the jounin motioned the young blond over and asked him, "how do you know that Sasuke is nearby?"
Naruto went silent, looking away from Kakashi as he muttered the answer. "Before Sasuke left the village, we ended up having sex. I think the fox may have imprinted on Sasuke during that time."
"Imprinted?" Kakashi asked, interested now. So that answered his earlier question of how involved the two males were with each other.
"Imprinting is a strong emotional and physical connection happens between a demon and a human when the demon begins to fall in love with the human." the young fox muttered, blushing furiously and looking in the direction of Sakura's tent. Kakashi understood that the blond probably didn't want the young pinkette to find out about his romantic involvement with the very man that she had longed to be with. "How far away do you think Sasuke is from our location?"
"Ten miles."
Sighing, Kakashi made a quick decision. Tsunade would probably kill him for this but he could tell from the look on Naruto's face, this was the right thing to do. Turning his back to Naruto, he muttered just loud enough for Naruto to hear, "I didn't hear any of this nor did I see you leave this campsite. Naruto be back before dawn."
Naruto's azure eyes widened before he quietly thank the silver haired nin and quickly scampered up and disappeared into the night.

Sasuke scouted the area after he left the base. He didn't know if Orochimaru would keep his end of the bargain but Sasuke would do anything to keep his blond fox safe. And if that means that he would have to be at the beck and call of the raven haired bastard then the Uchiha would do it, at least until he kill him after he got what he wanted.
He was snapped out of his musings when he detected a presence about five miles in the direction of the campsite that the Konoha nin had made and it was coming in his direction at an alarming rate. He had just enough time to take out a kunai before the presence came closer into view.
"Naruto?" he asked as he lowered his kunai.
"Hey teme." the blond fox purred. The raven teen just quirked an eyebrow. How had the idiot traced him. He had been sure to cloak both his trail and chakra signature when he had decided to come out and watch over the blond. Then another thought popped into his head. How had the blond gotten away without Kakashi noticing his disappearance?
He voiced his opinions and watched with curiosity as Naruto just smirked. "I hope you don't mind but to get away, I had to let Kakashi in on our little secret. He was willing to look the other way."
Sasuke wanted to hit the blond. Why the hell would the idiot tell their former teacher of their relationship. "You know that this will just make it harder for us to see each other, right?"
"I don't think so. If he's willing to look the other way right now, I don't think that he'll be that much of a problem. As for how I found you, I followed your scent. Even if others can't follow you by your scent, I'm not like other people so…"
Sasuke just nodded. He knew about Naruto's uniqueness. He didn't care all that much. However, one look at the bulge in the fox's pants made all thoughts in the Uchiha's mind fly out the window. Smirking, he grabbed the fox by his collar to kiss him deeply.
Naruto leaned in closer to the Uchiha's body, moaning softly into the kiss. Sasuke took advantage of the blond's open mouth remapping the heated cavern which he hadn't had a taste of in a month. How the hell had he gotten so damn attached to the young kitsune, the raven didn't know but he found that he didn't much care at the moment. Sasuke's hand wandered down to caress the growing hardness in the blond's pants, making the fox in his arms whine in protest.
"Teme! Don't tease me. I need to get back to the camp before sunrise. That's the deal I made with Kaka-sensei. So-" He was cut off by another demanding kiss from the dark haired teen before he licking and nipping his neck. His hands slid underneath Naruto's shirt, playing with a dusty pink nipple. He twisted it, eliciting a squeal from the blond. Naruto slipped out of his arms and sank to his knees, taking the raven's pants and boxers with him. Naruto merely nodded and snuggled back into the Uchiha's chest, purring at the heat that was enveloping him. Looking up at the sky, the blond sighed. The moon was waning in the sky and dawn was approaching. "Sasuke, I need to go soon. I guess I'll see you the next time our paths cross." Sasuke just gave him the smallest of smiles as he brushed the back of his hand against tanned whiskered cheek. He whispered softly, "go Dobe. I don't want Kakashi to cause any troubles."
Nodding, the blond untangled himself from his pale skinned lover and got pulled up his boxers and pants and turned back to the Uchiha. "How long are you planning on staying with him?" There was no need for Naruto to elaborate who he was talking about because Sasuke knew very clearly that he was talking about Orochimaru. After a moment of silence, Sasuke spoke. "Just until I get strong enough to kill Itachi. Then I leave to find him. You know that there's a possibility that you might not make it back alive but if I do I'll come back to Konoha and turn myself in."
Nodding, Naruto swoop down and quickly kissed the pale teen on the lips before backing away and taking off the way he had come, leaving a slightly dazed Uchiha.

Kakashi looked at the sky and frowned. It was almost dawn and Naruto hadn't come back yet and Sakura would be waking up soon. He shuddered at the thought of the pinkette finding out what was going on between Naruto and Sasuke. Just as he was about to make a clone when the bushes started to rustle before the blond in question stepped into the clearing. Kakashi just raised his eyebrow but said nothing as Naruto walked past and laid down on his bedroll to catch a little bit of sleep before they had to get up and take off.
As the sun rose and Sakura and their client woke and ate and got ready to head out, Naruto was quiet as they finally reached their destination later that day. As they ended the mission, Sakura noticed the blond's unusual quietness and mentioned it. Blushing, Naruto simply muttered, "it's nothing, Sakura-chan. Can't I be quiet without something be wrong?"
Kakashi casted a side-eye glance at the young pinkette who nodded before letting it go. The silver hoped to high heavens that Tsunade, Sakura, nor anyone else ever found out about Naruto's and Sasuke's relationship because if anyone did, all hell would break loose. Not only that, that relationship could be used against the two to draw the Uchiha out and after being treated like the young fox had by not only the civilians of the village but by the elders, Kakashi thought that the blond deserved a little bit of happiness of his own. Besides that, it was a real possibility that the youngest of the remaining two Uchihas might not come back to the village at all after his brother got to him.
