Disclaimer: I own nothing
Percy POV
I was feeling nothing as I stared out the glass pane of the window of the plane into the open sky. I know that I should feel an extreme sense of fear and worry since I was in my Uncle's domain despite having been given permission by him during the duration of this trip, but all I could feel is nothing. My mind was haunted with the voice of the seer Phineas, when he gave me a warning that I would be presented a choice which I would not be able to make, from the quest that I took with Hazel and Frank from when I was at camp Jupiter. I could see it as clear as day and every night in my nightmares her death. It has been almost a year since the end of the second Giant War and since Gaea killed Annabeth to resurrect her physical body.
Flash back
The rest of the Seven and I had arrived in Athens, Greece. We had noticed a sea of monsters closing in on the original Mount. Olympus. All of the Giants were standing evenly spread out within the crowd of monsters. At the base of Mount. Olympus I could make out the color orange and purple of the campers shirts and spots of red which I figured came from the blood of the fallen. Several of gods had come down from their halls to join on the second day of battle. We had quickly joined in on the battle, slaying several monsters alongside our Greek and Roman friends and siblings. Once we got to the giants, our godly parents joined us at our sides and we managed to dispatch the Giant horde, but as the bane of Zeus fell, I was broken out of my revelry by an ever familiar scream.
Whirling around, I noticed Octavian holding Annabeth with deep cuts in each of their hands over a raised platform. The Earth started to rumble, and the two demigods were sucked into the earth. I felt enraged despite the heart break and attempted to storm over to the platform with the rest of the seven, but I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder which I noticed belonged to my father Poseidon. Poseidon appeared to have aged thirty years making them look to be in his sixties, but I was not fooled. His face was held in a stern and vengeful expression and I followed gaze towards the platform as a figure appeared out of the ground.
My heart stopped right there as I noticed the all too familiar head of blonde hair despite it being covered in dirt. It was Annabeth, but at the same time not. It appeared as if Annabeth had been mutated. She stood about a foot taller with pieces of rock embedded in her skin with lines of brown adjourning her skin where her veins would have been, but the most painful change were eyes. The piercing grey eyes that I have loved so much were replaced by glowing moss green eyes with mud brown sclera.
"Behold Blood of Olympus," the fake Annabeth said, "I Gaea, primordial of the Earth, have arisen will reclaim what is rightfully mine, but first." She said while she studied the crowd before her eyes sought in to mine.
"Ahh Perseus Jackson," Gaea cooed, "defeater of my Son, Kronos, what a surprise. Why don't you join me and I will promise your girlfriend back?"
Flashback End
That was the decision that haunted me till this day. I don't remember much from the Feast of Spes, but from what I could discern from the Gods and the rest of the Seven, I apparently contemplated her offer, but in the end I went in to a rage after something she said in my ear. With the help of Leo and Hera, we managed to put Gaea back into a deep slumber. Afterwards, we were treated to an awards ceremony in the original Olympian halls, which looked like the one from New York before …. Their remodeling. The Seven were all offered Immortality, but none of us took it. I asked to have Hades and Hestia returned to the council. Hazel had to be returned to the underworld, so with his wish, Frank now resides with her in the Isles of Blest. Jason and Piper actually used their wish to get married and to be eternally faithful to each other. Leo used his wish to finally free Calypso.
Everything was going great after that for them. I help out rebuilding Mount. Olympus and Camp Half-Blood, but I was never really there. I fell into this depression after the loss of Annabeth and with the after effects of Tartarus. The others had tried to help out and offered counseling, but it never worked and I always managed to bring them down. That's why I decided to leave camp, but at home with Mom, my new step-father Paul, and my new baby sister Grace didn't help either. That is what ended up with me on this plane. Apparently, Mom, Dad, and Paul agreed that I should go somewhere new and try and make a new life.
Mom got a favor from her step-brother Charlie, my uncle, who agreed to take me in to help rehabilitate me. Since his daughter just went through the same thing and they are hoping maybe some non-godly family bonding might help me, but what I don't get is why she got back with the guy that broke her heart.

"We will soon be arriving at Seattle International Airport," stated the voice of one of the female flight attendants over the intercom, "please remain seated and secure your belongings for our descent.
3rd POV
Charlie was standing in the reception area of the airport waiting for his nephew to arrive. Unfortunately, he had to leave straight from work early in order to arrive on time, but at least he would probably be able to find Charlie given his uniform. It had been years since Charlie has had any contact with Sally and to say he was shocked when she called out of the blue asking for a favor was an understatement. She had asked if he could look after her son since he needed to go somewhere different for a while. Sally had mentioned that New York had too much baggage for her son. After she mentioned his mental state; Charlie was quick to agree with her favor.
From what Charlie could remember, Sally had a son around Bella's age which should make him around eighteen. He doesn't remember much from they visited when he was about nine, but he does remember that Percy was a small little kid. It was heartbreaking to hear that he is in a similar state Bella was in about month and a half ago, but hopefully Bella might be able to help him heal having been through it herself.
Charlie snapped out of his thoughts at the clearing of a throat in front of him. He looked up and noticed it was a rather tall young man around 6'3 with a slight tan. The kid had black hair hanging down around his ears and greenish-blue eyes. For a second there, he thought he might be looking at one of the boys from the quittete reservation, but quickly shook up that observation because the eyes did not match.
"Excuse me," said the green eyed guy, "You wouldn't happen to be Charlie Swan?" After the police officers nod Percy Introduced himself to his Uncle.
"Hi I'm Percy," Percy said, "I was told you would be ah expecting me?"
"Yes yes," Charlie mumbled, "we better get out to the car if we plan on making it back to Forks by night fall." Charlie then led Percy out of the airport over to his police cruiser. Charlie offered to take Percy's bags, but his nephew politely declined and stored them with him in the passenger seat of the car.
Percy POV
We soon left the airport. We started the ride in silence between us, but after about maybe ten minutes I could feel the pent up energy from my ADHD causing me to squirm around. Charlie must have noticed this as he started to talk.
"You sure have grown up since the last time I saw you," he commented, "What has Sally been feeding you?"
"Chocolate chip cookies," I said without thought, "but whatever flights her fancy. I mostly have had whatever food lately that I can get my hands on." Well that was a killer, I thought, not that I can really say much.
"I heard that you went missing for about nine months a little over a year ago," Charlie said, "is there anything that I ought to know about?"
"No," I said with a sigh, "it was just some issues with my father's family, but I'd rather not talk about it." I can't relive her death again. "Can you tell me a little about Bella before I meet her?" I asked after a few more minutes of awkward silence.
"Bella," Charlie said, "What can I really say. She is a good girl, mostly kept to herself. Never really had that many friends. She is a mighty good cook. To be honest I was surprised that she wanted to come here in the first place but then she met them."
"Had," I asked, "and what do you mean them?"
"It was when she met the Cullens," he replied, "hey are a good family, Alice, the youngest of them, is Bella's friend and I absolutely adore her. Then Edward had to fall for her."
"Isn't that the guy that had broken up with her in the forest?"
"Yeah," Charlie said, "but apparently Bella got back together with him after going with him to Italy of all places. I really worried about her, it's like Edward has this sort of permanent hold on her. And the whole Love triangle thing makes it worse?"
"Love Triangle," I said amused, "from what I remember, Bella was never the socialite type of person. How did she manage that?'
Charlie spent the remainder of the trip telling me about Bella and her interactions with the Cullens. She also mentioned the unrequited feelings from her childhood friend Jacob down in La Push. After a while my ADHD would let me concentrate so I averted my eyes and looked out of the window. Having grown up in the big city my entire life, it was a little troubling that everywhere the eye could see was covered with trees or other greenery. 'Grover would literally kill me if he had heard that last thought,' I mused. I remember Charlie mentioning how it almost always rained. Which didn't really bother me much, but I had to tone down on my abilities and actually get wet so no one would suspect anything out of the normal.
Time past and before I knew it, Charlie pulled the car up to a house. The house itself was a two stories tall with weather worn and chipped white paint. Carefully I stepped out of the car with my luggage, making sure that I was actually getting wet, and followed my uncle through the front door. The inside of the house initially didn't look like much. To the right of the door was a modest living room with a brown recliner with a television set in front of it. Across the room stood a mantle with various pictures, mostly of a little girl with brown hair, who I assumed was Bella. A small doorway to the left led to a kitchen.
"Hey Bells are you home," Charlie called out.
"In the Kitchen," I heard a obviously feminine voice call out. Charlie went to go put up his jacket and gun belt on a tree rack by the door. About a minute or two afterwards, a girl walked out of the kitchen to come greet Charlie, but as she past into the living room, she froze upon seeing me. Normally, I would be used to people being speechless in my presence before being abused by my other cousins, but her pause gave me an opportune moment to take in my new cousin.
The girl in front of me had chocolate brown hair that reached down past her shoulder blades and doe-like eyes to match. She appeared to be very thin and she stood around 5'4. It might sound bad, but that is shorter than all the girls that I have met our age. Though granted she most likely doesn't have any godly ichor running through her veins.
"Erm," the Girl, Bella mumbled, "Hello."
"Bella," Charlie said gesturing towards me, "I would like to reintroduce you to your cousin Percy."
"Hey Bellsy," I said reminiscing one of the childhood nicknames I mad for her. See the red coloring her cheeks, I see she remembered well.
"Nice to meet you again Percy," She said giving me a slight smile, but it appeared to be more of a grimace. Turning towards her father, she commented on how he could have told her beforehand. He told her that he would have mentioned it to her if she hadn't been with the Cullens the entire since he found out.
"Umm well," She started turning towards me, "if you'd like I made some Chicken Parmesan tonight, I could make another plate I believe that we should have enough." At the mention of Chicken Parmesan, Charlie was already off to the kitchen. Shortly after Bella lead me into the kitchen Not even three steps towards the kitchen, Bella had stumbled on the toe of her left shoe. In her attempt to right herself, Bella overcorrected and started falling forward to the floor. Using in innate battle reflexes, I leapt forward and scooped an arm around her stomach pulling her towards me instead of letting her fall to the floor.
"Still as light on your feet as I remember," I said with a slight teasing manner. Again, I noticed a pinkish-red blush rapidly adorn her face, it wasn't till a few seconds later that I realized that I was still holding her to me. I quickly let go and apologized, she waved it off and said that she should be thanking me for preventing her from falling. The rest of the night considered of the three of us eating the dinner Bella had made. During dinner, Bella had asked if she could hang out with the Cullens tomorrow after school. Charlie had initially refused and said that he had hoped that she could show me around tomorrow. I looked over and noticed a slightly guilty expression on her face, but it mostly shown a longing for something. Immediately, I could see Charlie's fears about her connections with the Cullens, particularly Edmund. I decided until he could prove otherwise, I wasn't going to trust Edwin. After dinner, I insisted on washing the dishes, which lead to an almost heated discussion with Bella about it, but in the end she gave. While washing the dishes, I faintly heard Charlie asking Bella if they could talk in private. It was probably about me.
In the end, Charlie told me that I had to sleep on the couch for tonight, which I didn't really mind. As I was closing my eyes to fall asleep for the night a voice in my head faintly murmured a warning.
"Beware Little Demigod," An eerie voice whispered, "beware the monsters. There are more things out there that come from nightmare. From Darkness.
