Path to Help

The naval forces from the west were arriving and attacking the Britannian forces that were acting as the reinforcement for Castor and Pollux out on sea. VTOLs were being shot down and in the bridge of the leading naval vessel the one leading the forces to aid the Black Knights and Peace Mark was General Tatewaki Katase of the Japan Liberation Front. Everyone on the island was surprised at the development and not only that, the Black Knights and Peace Mark were pleased with the development. Castor and Pollux were livid with the surprise interference by the forces that were allies to their enemies.

"It's good that they made it," CC spoke.

CC arrived and stood between the Lucan, the Lionel, and the two Knightmares that were on the ground damaged.

"CC, did you do this?" Zero asked.

"Yes," CC said smiling at the Lionel, "I got in contact with our allies and they made a beeline to get prepared and help us."

In the cockpit of the Lionel, Zero was contacted by Katase.

"Zero," Katase said, "we're here to aid you."

"General Katase," Zero said, "I'm amazed that you took action."

"Yes, your associate, Miss CC informed us of the situation," Katase said.

"You have my thanks," Zero said.

"General Katase," Todoh said who appeared on the screen.

"Hello Todoh," Katase said, "it's good to see you again."

"The feeling is mutual sir," Todoh said with a nod, "I'm glad that you're doing well."

"Same here," Katase said with confidence, "not to worry, we'll take care of the enemies trying to head to the island."

"General," Todoh spoke.

"Right now I believe there is something that you want to take care back in Japan," Katase said.

"Yes, that it is true," Todoh said.

"Thank you for your assistance General Katase," Zero said.

"It's not a problem," Katase said, "I see this as my way to paying you back for aiding us."

Zero nodded as he was glad of the support and help from Katase and the forces that he was leading against the Britannian forces that were on their way as reinforcement.

"You have my thanks CC," Zero spoke to CC.

"Thank you CC," Void said.

"No problem," CC said, "although, we should concentrate of what we need to do to help people in Japan."

"You're right," Zero said, "we need to head back to Japan."

"But even if we get back, would be able to make it in time to help the people there?" Void asked.

"There's no way to know for sure," Rai said.

The Fenrir, Vierge, Guren, and the Seiryu arrived.

"We know that the situation is really bad," Kallen said.

"But regardless, we have to go back," Zero said, "the people there need us."

"Right, it's our duty and our obligation as the Black Knights," Alice said.

"You think you're going to be able to get back?" Castor asked.

The six individuals looked at Castor and Pollux who came out of the cockpits of their Knightmare glaring at the two people that defeated them and the four of their close subordinates.

"You lost," CC said as she faced the twins, "you have no choice to accept that."

"No, it's not over," Castor said, "none of you should be standing!"

Pollux looked around and did not see any option and was just agitated.

"It won't do you any good," CC said.

"What was that?" Pollux replied looking at CC.

CC drew a handgun and pointed at the twins. Pollux and Castor were shaking and they looked and saw that their reinforcements at sea were being attacked by the naval forces that had arrived. The twins looked back at CC and were even more upset.

"This isn't how it was supposed to go," Pollux complained.

"Why can't anything go right for us?" Castor asked with disdain.

"Wait, what about Kewell and the others?" Pollux suggested, "If we call them, they can help us."

"I wouldn't bother," Jinta's voice spoke.

The twins looked and saw Jinta showing up with a handgun and he pointed it at the twins as well.

"You," Castor said.

"Your cybernetic soldiers are inoperable for the moment," Jinta said.

"What do you mean?" Pollux asked angrily, "No, you're lying. They're no way you could have stopped them."

"Well I didn't say that I did it by myself," Jinta said, "but your cybernetic soldiers won't be able to help you."

"Damn you!" Castor yelled.

Castor and Pollux went in a blind rage but CC and Jinta quickly pinned the twins down on the ground. A truck arrived and it was driven by one of the Peace Mark members and it was a large Indian man who was an engineer for Peace Mark named Ganabati and with him was Rakshata who got out of the truck.

"Rakshata," Zero said.

"Zero and Void," Ganabati said, "we have the float units ready.

Ganabati came out of the truck and stood next to Rakshata.

"How many units ready to be used?" Naoto asked.

"We have seven units ready," Rakshata said.

"I see," Zero said.

"Zero, Void," A male voice spoke.

The others looked and saw the red Knightmare that was piloted by Orpheus.

"Orpheus," Void said.

"It's clear that we need to get back to Japan to help Euphemia and the people there," Orpheus said, "not all of us can go back to Japan right away but we can have a group of people head back to Japan while the rest of us take the enemy reinforcement and catch up as fast as we can."

"So Zero, you and Void should lead the aid for the people in Japan," Rakshata said.

"Understood," Zero said.

"Okay," Void said.

"In that case," Zero said and he turned to Orpheus," Orpheus, we would like you to lead the aid for General Katase against the enemy reinforcement and then join us immediately."

"You got it," Orpheus said.

You'll never make it in time," Castor spoke up.

They looked at the twins who were still pinned down by CC and Jinta.

"There's nothing you can do," Pollux said, "you'll never be able to help those people. By the time you get there, you'll be too late," Pollux continued as he and Castor started laughed, "when you get back, Euphemia and all those stupid Elevens will be dead. The place will be nothing more than a wasteland with the dead bodies!"

"It will serve as a lesson of what happens to those who opposes Britannia and disgrace themselves as Britannians like Euphemia," Castor said with glee.

"Zero and Void," Jinta said, "I'll keep these brats in custody. After all, we need to get answers from them anyway and right now we need to help the people in Japan."

"Right," Void said.

"Hold on," Zero said.

"Zero?" Void asked.

"There is something that we can also use for our travel," Zero said, "we may be able to get most of us if not all of us back to Japan."

They wondered what Zero was saying and then they looked at where Zero was looking and it was the flagship that was still floating in the sky.

"The flagship," Naoto said.

Zero quickly came out of the cockpit of his Knightmare and landed on his feet on the ground. He requested Jinta and CC and the two immortal Code Bearers nodded and held up the twins which surprised the twins.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Castor asked.

"Oh you're actually going to aid us," Zero said.

"Huh?" Castor replied as he and Pollux were confused.

"You're actually going to help us in this endeavor," Zero said.

"Wow, you have finally lost your mind," Pollux said, "although who knows if you had any sense in the first place."

"What actually makes you think that we would actually help you?" Castor asked defiantly.

A compartment of his mask opened up and Zero activated his Geass as CC and Jinta held up the twins' face to make them face Zero.

"You shall obey my orders," Zero said.

Zero used his Geass and Castor and Pollux realized too late of what was happening as the Geass took control of them. Castor and Pollux were docile looked at Zero with the Geass controlling them.

"As you wish," The Geass-controlled twins said, "What are your orders?"

"Now then," Zero said.

Void got out of her Knightmare as well and landed on her feet and joined her brother. Within the light blue flagship, the people in the bridge of the flagship looked on as the battle continued and it didn't look good to their point of views. There was a sudden beep as a transmission occurred. One of operators went to console to accept transmission and the screen had shown Castor and Pollux.

"Prince Castor," One of the operators said, "Prince Pollux."

"Bring the flagship to the shore on the island," Pollux instructed.

"Your Highness?" Another operator said, "Are you certain?"

"Yes, we have things under control," Castor said.

"Are you sure?" Another operator asked, "It doesn't seem to be the case in what we're seeing."

"Just bring the flagship to us," Castor said, "Our Knightmares are inoperable at the moment so we can't get to flagship ourselves."

The operators in the flagship looked at each other and they decided to go what their princes had asked them.

"Very well," The first operators said, "we'll come down but what about the reinforcements that are being attacked right now on sea? We don't have any weapons on the ship to help them."

"We'll do something as soon as you come pick us up," Pollux said.

"Very well," The first operator said, "give us a moment."

Not long after that, the flagship moved and landed on the shore of the island. The doors opened to greet twins but were met by the Knightmares Guren, Seiryu, Vierge, and Fenrir. Zero and Void stepped up it shocked the people of the blue flagship and they looked at the twins and asked what was going on. The Black Knights and Peace Mark coordinated with Orpheus leading most of Peace Mark to help their allies take on the Britannian forces as they used their own two naval carriers to get to the battle while the Black Knights were taking over the flagship while the twins and the Britannian operators were in custody and were held in several rooms as several Knightmares were being brought in to the Knightmare hanger with truck loading in the hanger with the float units that were brought in as well. A group of Black Knights were working in the bridge with Zero and Void in as well.

"Let's hurry," Zero said, "we need to head back to Japan and help Euphemia and people there being attacked in the Special Zone."

"You got it Zero," Minami said as he and Sugiyama worked on the controls to get the ship moving.

Kallen, Naoto, Alice, and Rai stood next to the masked siblings and they were worried about the state of what was happening in Japan. In the hanger, Rakshata, Diethard, and Sayoko were overseeing the Knightmares that were having float units attached to them.

"Rai, I want you to get in contact with our allies," Zero said.

"Our allies?" Rai replied.

"Yes, once we get back, we need to get ready to respond when they do," Zero said.

"You mean…" Kallen spoke.'

"Oh I see," Rai said with a nod, "I see what you're getting at."

"We'll make our stand there," Zero said, "and then when that happens, they will retaliate against us so we'll make our intentions known."

"I understand," Rai said, "I'll get started."

"Sugiyama, see if you get in contact with Jeremiah," Zero said.

"Got it," Sugiyama said.

"We should try to get in contact with Milly and Shirley," Void said.

"Right," Zero said.

The door opened and Keitaro, Ohgi, Gen, and Todoh arrived.

"Zero," Todoh said.

"Sensei," Zero said.

"Do you think we'll be able get there in time to help them?" Todoh asked.

There was a beep sound that signaled that they were able to get through.

"We're about to find out," Zero said as he stepped forward.

Meanwhile out on sea, there was a small vessel and on the vessel there were several Britannian agents who were watching what was going on by the island and saw the Black Knights had taken over the flagship that belonged the twin princes and watched the Peace Mark and the carriers forces led by Katase work together against the forces that were to act as reinforcements for Castor and Pollux. One of the agents turned to one of the other agents.

"Contact His Majesty," One of the agents said.

The other agents nodded, "Right away."

The agents continued to observe and they looked as the flagship took flight that was heading to Japan.

Area 11

Within the zone, Cornelia was on the ground as she was injured from the impact of being ambushed by a Knightmare. She shook her head and saw Kinman slowly walked towards Cornelia and drew his handgun and pointed his handgun and pointed at Cornelia. Cornelia was shocked and glared at the Britannian colonel.

"Do you realize what you're doing?" Cornelia asked, "You would actually point a gun at me?"

"I am," Kinman said, "so sorry about this Viceroy but I'm afraid I can't let you live."

"What?" Cornelia responded.

"Like I said, we have our orders," Kinman said, "those orders include eliminating anyone who interferes… even if it's someone from the imperial family."

"Who is it?" Cornelia asked, "Who are working for?"

"That's not something you need to know," Kinman said, "but don't worry, the story will be as this, 'Viceroy Cornelia who tried to help quash the terrorists was ambushed by the terrorists in zone. Sadly, Princess Cornelia lost her life by the terrorists before we had the chance to aid her.' I'm sure that story will fly."

"You…" Cornelia said angrily.

"Not to worry," Kinman said, "of course your subordinates will die with you."

"You bastard!" Guilford yelled.

Kinman looked and saw Guilford and Darlton were on the ground with their Knightmares that were wrecked.

"You would do this even towards Princess Cornelia!" Darlton said angrily.

"No, I won't let you!" Marrybell yelled.

Marrybell in her Knightmare rushed in to help Cornelia but two Knightmares showed up to block Marrybell. Marrybell thought it was too late for her. Suddenly three GX 01 Knightmare Frames showed up and actually struck down the Knightmares that was about to block Marrybell and then they quickly went and shield Cornelia. It was a surprise to see the three GX 01 units do this and one of them picked up Cornelia. The GX 01 pilots that aided Cornelia were Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque and they were poised as Lucretia was the one that had her Knightmare hold up Cornelia.

"What?" Kinman said shocked as he was backing away and was furious, "Hey, what is the meaning of this? All GX 01 units were to aid us to eliminating everyone in the Special Zone."

"That is true and it was the same for us," Sancia spoke in her cockpit, "However, the three of us have decided to ignore this heinous order."

"What was that?" Kinman replied and was even more furious.

Suddenly another Knightmare showed ups and struck down two more Knightmare Frames and it surprised Kinman and he looked and was shocked to see the Gawain. Kinman couldn't believe and slowly shook his head.

"Why, what are you here?" Kinman asked.

Marrybell looked on and was relieved that Cornelia was safe from harm and Darlton and Guilford were relived as well seeing that Cornelia was protected. Cornelia didn't know what to think of what was happening at the moment while in the two-person cockpit of the Gawain, Milly and Shirley were poised.

"We just need to hold out," Milly said.

"Right," Shirley said with a nod.

Meanwhile several Glinda Knights including the head knight Oldrin Zevon were able to lead people in various areas where they were able to hide from soldiers who were still hunting them down to kill them. Oldrin with one other Glinda Knight who was a young man had led one group of people in one place for them to hide. Oldrin looked and saw all the Japanese people with them depressed, upset, and shaking in fear. Some were crying as they had friends and family that were killed in the attacks. There was a little boy who was crying because both of his parents were killed.

"I don't understand," A young man said, "Why is this happening?"

"We were just trying to live," A crying woman said, "Is it just so wrong?"

"No, we were wrong in thinking that the Special Zone was a solution for us," An angry man said, "this happened because we foolishly listened to Princess Euphemia," The man stood up, "we should have never listened to that Britannian Princess. She led us to a death trap."

"Hold on…" A fearful girl said.

The fearful girl signaled the man to the two Glinda Knights with both of them offended of the accusation the angry man said and the man was worried for a bit but decided to not fear them as he felt that he should just stand by what he said.

"What you're saying about Princess Euphemia is not true," The male Glinda Knight said, "take that back now."'

"Or what?" The man said upset, "Will you kill me just like your fellow Britannians are doing right now?"

"Hey!" The young man replied.

"Leonhardt," Oldrin spoke.

The Glinda Knight Leonhardt Steiner looked at Oldrin and calmed down. Oldrin then walked and approached the people.

"Please don't lose heart," Oldrin pleaded, "we won't let anything to you all. What is happening is not the doing of Princess Euphemia. This was done by someone who resent Princess Euphemia and wants her dead and who is also against the Special Zone."

"Then what was the point?" Another woman spoke upset, "What was the point in having the Special Zone?"

"We were fools to go along with it," A man said depressed, "We should have known that Britannia was never going to accept us."

"Why did we think that was possible in the first place?" An old man said, "After oppressing us for seven years, why did we just go along with the Special Zone?"

"They gunned down my daughter," A young woman said crying holding her dead daughter, "she was only five and they killed her like it was nothing."

"What did we do wrong?" A little boy asked as he approached Oldrin and Leonhardt, "Why are we being punished? What did we do wrong? My mommy and daddy are dead."

Oldrin was taken aback in what the boy said and felt sad for the boy and she thought events that had happened in her past with the loss of her mother and then she thought about her twin brother who had disappeared many years ago while Leonhardt looked away and clenched his teeth.

"If only the Black Knights were here," An old woman said, "they would solve this. They would protect us."

"Yeah, the Black Knights," A middle aged man said, "they can save us."

"The Black Knights," Leonhardt said quietly and then he looked away with a frown.

"Zero, please come back," A young woman pleaded.

"Come back to us Void," Another young woman pleaded.

"Todoh, he would give us a miracle again along with Zero and Void," A middle aged man said being hopeful.

"Do they even know what is happening right now?" A man asked, "They left the country."

An old woman approached Oldrin and Leonhardt and looked desperate.

"Please I know this may be outrageous of me to ask," The old woman said, "but please call the Black Knights for help."

The other people were shocked at what the old woman was doing.

"Hey, what are you doing?" A young man asked.

"Are you seriously asking them?" A woman asked.

"What makes you think that they would actually help and contact the Black Knights?" A girl asked.

"It's better to try," The old woman replied.

"Even if we could," Oldrin said with a sad expression, "we don't have a way to get in contact with the Black Knights."

"Y-You don't?" The old woman replied upset.

"Why would you think that we would be able to?" Leonhardt asked.

The old woman slumped and went back and just sat in a corner. Oldrin looked at the people and then she thought about Marrybell and was worried for the princess and then she thought about the Black Knights and wondered if the Black Knights would be able to find out and if they would rush to get back. Meanwhile at another area that was used for a hiding place, three Glinda Knights were watching over the people that were protecting and people were talking about their desires for the Black Knights convinced that they would come and save them and the three Glinda Knights looked at each other. In a few other place for the Japanese people to hide, it was the same things and the Glinda Knights who were watching over the people didn't known how to respond or what to really say and they wish they speak to their princess. Meanwhile within Mt. Fuji, the Clan Leaders of Kyoto were discussing the situation with Euphie, Jeremiah, and Suzaku sitting by. Suzaku was talking to Cecile and Lloyd through communication getting an update on the situation and Jeremiah was on the phone talking to someone and was informed in what was going on.

"I understand," Jeremiah said, "thank you for telling me Your Highness."

Jeremiah hung up the phone.

"Was that Marry?" Euphie asked.

"Yes Your Highness," Jeremiah said facing Euphie, "the good news is that Princess Cornelia is still alive."

"Oh thank goodness," Euphie said feeling relieved.

"That's good to hear," Suzaku said.

"Yes, it seems that three of the Knightmare pilots that were part of the forces turned on their allies and protected Princess Cornelia," Jeremiah said, "not only that… the Gawain arrived to aid the Viceroy as well."

"The Gawain?" Euphie replied surprised as well.

The Gawain?" Suzaku spoke, "But wait, isn't that the Knightmare that…?"

"Yes, the one that was taken by Zero and Void which was used to escape from Kamine Island," Jeremiah said.

"So the Gawain was not with the rest of the Black Knights?" Euphie asked.

"It seems not," Jeremiah said although internally he knew the truth as well as who were piloting the Gawain.

"What's going on?" Suzaku asked, "So not all members of the Black Knights actually left the country with Zero and Void?"

"Suzaku…" Euphie said, "I don't think we should be worrying about that right now."

"Not worry about it?" Suzaku replied looking at Euphie surprised, "But Euphie…"

"What matters right now that my sister is still alive," Euphie said.

"But still…" Suzaku spoke.

"Also another thing," Jeremiah said.

"Yes?" Euphie replied looking at Jeremiah.

"The Glinda Knights have split into groups and looking after the people from the zone who has survived."

"I see," Euphie said, "thank goodness but even so… the fact that were Japanese people that were killed in the zone."

"Yes…" Jeremiah said.

Suzaku had a sad expression and he closed his eyes and clenched his teeth. Suzaku then opened his eyes and decided on that he wanted to go back and do what he could to stop the fighting and the killing that was occurring and he wanted to do it with the Lancelot. He looked at Jeremiah and figured that he can look after Euphie while he went out and there was Kirihara and his cousin Kaguya as well as the other clan leaders who seem to be supportive of Euphemia and so he felt that it would be fine to leave his princess with them. Suzaku was about to speak to Euphie. But before Suzaku had the chance to speak with Euphie of what his plan was, one of the bodyguards came by.

"Honorable leaders of Kyoto," The bodyguards said, "we just receive contact from Zero and Void."

"Zero and Void?" Kirihara replied.

The others were surprised as well and bodyguard confirmed it which was good news for the clan leaders. Shortly after, they all went in a room that had a large screen and Zero and Void appeared on the screen.

"Zero, Void, thank goodness," Kaguya said.

"Hello, I'm glad that we're able to reach you," Zero said, "we know of the terrible situation that is going on."

"We're on our way back right now," Void said, "we're going to there as fast as we can."

"Zero," Euphie spoke as she stepped forward with a sad expression, "Void.

"Euphemia, Zero said feeling relieved, "thank goodness you're alive."

"Are you alright?" Void asked with concern.

"I'm…" Euphie spoke in a sad tone and then she shook her head, "no, I'm not alright at all. The Special Zone had been destroyed and people have died both Japanese and Britannians."

"It's a massacre," Kaguya said sadly, "it might be just as horrible if not worse than what had happened in Shinjuku."

"This is worse than what we imagined," Zero said, "it doesn't help that we were ambushed ourselves."

"Ambushed?" Kirihara asked.

Zero and Void explained what had occurred on the island which surprised the clan leaders as well as Euphie and Suzaku. Meanwhile in the Special Zone, the three GX 01 Knightmare Frames that were piloted by Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque were fighting against the other Knightmare Forces while the Gawain held Cornelia while firing the Hadron Cannon against aircraft carriers that tried to eliminate them and Cornelia. Afterwards, the Gawain retreated with Cornelia in tow while Marrybell led Guilford, Darlton, the Glaston Knights as well as the rest of Cornelia's subordinates to fight back. They were all relieved that Cornelia was safe in which means that they could concentrate to do what they can to fight back. Colonel Kinman was looking on from a safe spot and was upset in what was going on and couldn't believe what was happening.

"Why is this happening?" Kinman asked upset, "This was supposed to be a simple operation. Move in, kill the Elevens in the Special Zone, kill Euphemia and Marrybell and anyone else who tries to stop us but now…" Kinman looked as he witnessed three GX 01 Knightmares turning on the rest, he saw the Gawain show up and took Cornelia away from harm and he saw Marrybell in her Knightmare fighting against the forces as well as well as the Cornelia's loyal soldiers aiding her, "what am I going to do? This was my chance to move up and now my chances are being destroyed. This won't sit well to him."

In the air

The light blue flagship was flying fast and getting to Japan. In the Knightmare Hanger within the flagship, float units were being installed to several Knightmares including the Lionel and the Lucan by the research and development team and it was overseen by Rakshata, Diethard, and Sayoko.

"Hurry, we'll be arriving to Japan very soon," Rakshata said as she was smoking her pipe.

In one of the rooms, Jinta was guarding Castor and Pollux who were still under the control of Geass as they just sat in chairs.

"Once we get what we need from them," Jinta said, "they are finished."

Near the Uncharted Island

The last Britannian naval vessel was damaged by the attack by the red Knightmare piloted by Orpheus. Members of Peace Mark in their own naval carriers succeeded to putting down the Britannian forces that had acted as reinforcements for Castor and Pollux and along the forces led by Katase, they defeated the Britannian forces as they sank their ships.

"All enemies defeated," A female Peace Mark member said.

"Great," Orpheus said in the cockpit of his Knightmare, "thank you for assisting us General Katase."

"Sure," Katase said as he appeared on screen, "we succeeded because worked together."

"So now the next thing," Zi Dien said.

"Yes we catch up with the Black Knights and head for Japan," Orpheus said.

"Let's go," Katase said, "we must make our way."

Meanwhile on the island, the cybernetic soldiers were on the ground were pinned down by several heavy pillars and that were unable to move. Kewell looked around and wondered what he was going to do. Suddenly footsteps were heard and Kewell looked and was surprised to see who the owners of the footsteps were.

Area 11

Within Mt. Fuji, House Kyoto along with Euphie, Suzaku, and Jeremiah were told what had occurred to the Black Knights and that was the fact that Britannian forces led by Castor and Pollux not only found them but were able to strike at them but they countered and even got help from allies led by Katase and afterwards Euphie and Kaguya told Zero told them what had occurred from the explosion to the Gawain showing up to help and Cornelia intervene and was attacked but was helped three GX 01 Knightmare Frames that turned on the forces attacking the zone and Glinda Knights aiding and protecting the people who escaped the massacres in the zone. Suzaku looked on and clenched his fists and he was not impressed with the Black Knights. Suzaku figured that things would get worse if the Black Knights get involved.

"We'll be there soon," Zero said, "let it be known that the Black Knights are coming back to Japan and we will mete out justice against the one committing the acts against the innocent people and we will take down the ones behind this."

"No, that won't be necessary," Suzaku said suddenly.

Suzaku's statement surprised the others and it even surprised Zero and Void.

"Suzaku, what are you saying?" Euphie asked.

"We don't need the Black Knights," Suzaku said, "We can actually solve this on our own. We already have Glinda Knights helping the people in the zone. So Zero and Void, I don't think that you need to be here to help. In fact, I can actually go out and stop the violence as well with the Lancelot."

"Suzaku, you…" Euphie spoke.

"Don't worry Your Highness," Suzaku said as he looked at Euphie, "I know that I can end this. I can stop the violence and we can find out who's actually behind the attack ourselves."

"Is that so?" Void replied.

"Yes, so with that," Suzaku said looking at Zero and Void, "you don't need to come back to Japan. In fact to be honest, I don't think that you'll be able to do much of anything by the time you get here anyway," Suzaku glared at Zero and Void, "besides you'll just make the situation worse.
