Even if the Asari had shown some reluctant cooperation, the Kurgan couldn't help himself but wrap the chains around her wrists and walk her back to his place in such a miserable stance. As he walked through the hallway on the way to his apartment, he was surprised to see one of Aria's Batarians standing in front of his door.

"What do you want!?" he roared, as he approached the four-eyed being

"The Normandy docked half an hour ago, in Omega." the Batarian replied, in a strangely polite manner

A twisted grin came over the immortal's face, he threw the chain at the Batarian so he would hold it and went inside his apartment. Only a few minutes later the giant walked out, with his sword in hand, taking one good look at the Asari he began to walk away, when the Batarian spoke out.

"What am I supposed to do with her?"

"Make sure she's alive when I get back. Fail and I'll blind you one eye at the time."

Indeed, Shepard was in Omega, it was a necessity since Samara was determined to end her pursuit of Morinth, Garrus took this opportunity to go and check if his sword had been repaired. He had left it in one of the few stores in Omega to deal with metalwork, this one was owned by a Salarian. Since it didn't get many costumers Garrus had no need to wait to retrieve his weapon.

Giving the Salarian the credits, Garrus was quick to analyze his new blade, it wasn't that he had no faith in the alien's work but he like to see it with his own eyes. However, any chance to fully analyze it was quickly taken away when he felt a dark presence approaching him. Thinking quickly, he began to move away from the store and into a less crowded area, not wanting to risk any unnecessary deaths.

The presence now came from the rooftops, as he made his way through an alley, as he was about to exit into another crowd, someone dropped down in front of him. Even if the shadow somewhat covered his figure, the distinct shape of his sword gave his identity away.

"There is no need to run away, Vakarian." the Kurgan said, standing tall in the Turian's way

"Who said I was running?" Garrus replied, with a smirk raising his sword

Garrus didn't move, preferring to let his opponent take the first step, which he eagerly did rushing and swing at the Turian immortal like a wild animal. Garrus jumped back escaping the any major blow, as the Kurgan closed the distance between them he took this chance to attack and slice through his left side. Letting his hand fall on the cut, the Kurgan grunted as he turned around and brought his sword down on Garrus who used his own blade to block the attack.

Knowing that he wouldn't win in terms of raw power, Garrus risked himself by taking a step to the right, causing the human's sword to go down. Once again Garrus went for a quick stab, this time to the chest, but much to his shock his foe grabbed on to the blade and rammed his own blade into the turians chest.

"Damn…" Garrus spat out, with a mix of blood

"How disappointing." the Kurgan growled kicking Garrus into the ground, removing his sword from his opponent's chest in the process

The Turian managed to make his way on all fours, his right hand reached out for his sword just to have the sadistic immortal stomp his down on his hand, stopping him from using his blade. Lifting his broadsword above his head the Kurgan let out one final cry before bring it down on the defenseless Garrus's head, then a gun-shot rang through the alley hitting the Kurgan in the chest.

Slowly the Kurgan staggered back, taken by surprised by the sudden shot, his left hand going to the resulting hole as his eyes went to the origin, Shepard and Samara stood in the entrance to the alley.

"Garrus we're leaving." Shepard said, as if a command

"Thanks for the assist." Garrus chuckled, picking his sword and running up to him

Having taken their attentions away from the Kurgan for a moment, it was enough to lose sight of him once they looked back into the alley. As this was going on Kane and the Blood Pack began to make their move, their men began to surround all existing entrances to AfterLife and other hideout's used by Aria's men. Kane took the front entrance to the club, at first it didn't seem to be the most wise decision, but the Blood Pack leaders didn't argue much after seeing what Kane was capable of doing.

Kane made his way towards the Elcor guard, which would be the biggest challenge had he not been armed with his katana, and since he still had his cloak on he had the perfect distraction. Stopping next to the massive alien, he looked up at the behemoth who replied by looking down at him, with one swift motion Kane threw the cloak at his face followed by slicing it vertically upwards.

The Batarian in front of the door took aim at Kane, who replied by throwing his blade at the alien. As the guard fell through the doors, several Blood Pack Vorcha rushed the scene taking out the remaining guards. Walking up to the dead Batarian, Kane removed his katana from his chest as he continued to walk inside now flanked by several Vorcha. The grunts took out any who dared oppose them, so when they were finally inside they were received with a conquered AfterLife.

Where Aria was normally found now stood, Hred and Khan they had their weapons aimed at Aria who calmly rested on her sofa, surrounded by many of her dead men. Kane sighed, maybe his plan had worked to well, to be honest he was hoping to be the first to get to Aria slaughtering his way up to her, but the Blood Pack didn't seem to share the same opinion.

Making his way up the stairs, Kane had a smirk on his face as he saw Aria surrounded by armed guards and the two Krogan leaders waiting for him in order to discuss their next move.

"We should kill her now!" Hred roared

"She is no good to us dead. Outside of information she could give us, a live trophy is worth more than a dead one." Khan argued back

"You won't kill her. She is my bait." Kane finally spoke, standing in front of Aria

"You think that just because I'm here you are in charge?" Aria asked

"Look around! Omega's ours now." Hred shouted back triumphantly

"You are as thick as you look Hred. Just because you took AfterLife and have me, means nothing in the end. I have more than enough backup plans to crush this little show of yours." Aria's last remark didn't please the krogan that much

Pushing past his men, Hred had had enough he was going to finish her right now with his two own hands, that is if he had hands. Looking down his eyes grew wide as his hands fell from his wrist, looking to his right Kane had his hand on his katana, and a sarcastic smirk on his face. Hred had no time to even shout, when the blade passed cleanly through his neck, his body went limp as his carcass soon collapsed on the ground.

"Nice work. With Hred out of the way, I can…" Khan's words were also cut short as his head also went rolling into the ground, sending the Blood Pack members into a panic before Kane spoke

"The Blood Pack is built on strength, I just showed you why these two weren't fit for the role of leader. But fear not, from now on I will be your leader. My first order will be to rig this place with explosives. And continue our raid of Omega, when this is done there will be no trace of what you built." his gaze fell on Aria

"What do we do with bodies?" one of the Vorcha hissed, causing Kane to quietly look at the corpses

"Get rid of the bodies. Place the heads at the entrance for the world to see. Also prepare the explosives, I want this place ready to blow in less than an hour." having given his orders the Blood Pack soldiers dispersed

"Explosives? Your plan can't possibly be to destroy this place! It would be too much of a waste." Aria retorted

Kane's head turned to meet her gaze, he could see that her hands were bound behind her back, a boring precaution in his mind but something he would enjoy for the moment being. Giving the Asari a big laugh he took a seat to her right, never losing his smug grin, with another show of his magic skills he materialized two cigars. He placed one of them up to Aria's face, yet the former ruler of Omega didn't seem to like the idea of having a smoke with him at the moment. Luckily for her, he wasn't really in the mood to force it into her mouth, so throwing hers aside he quickly lit his cigar and placed it on his lips.

"You are correct, Aria. Destroying this place would be a waste, that is if I was planning of taking over Omega…" he paused

"I could careless for ruling things, at least for now, my goal is something greater. The Kurgan's head…"

"Surely you would be able to do that without all of this." she spat, Kane simply laughed

"This will be his last fight…I'm sure he would like to go out with a bang…" Kane replied between laughs

"The Normandy is now leaving." a Krogan soldier said approaching

"Good. The time for holding back is over, tell the men to slaughter everything in their path. I want a fire so great that it will be seen from the Relay! Understood?" Kane roared back

"Of course, sir." the Krogan replied, with an eager grin

Indeed the Normandy was just now taking off and thanks to Kane's planning none of them was able to notice the carnage that was now covering the station. Everyone went to their normal stations on the vessel, but Garrus after so much time away from his sword went to the hangar where he began to train. At least that was what he told the others, as he trained he began to think that maybe as they were about to go after the Collectors, he should have told them the truth.

There was an unwanted visitor on the ship, how he got there Garrus had no idea, but somehow the Kurgan was inside the Normandy in the hangar to be more specific. He stopped mid swing now looking at the elevator, as the presence stood several feet behind him. His instincts kicked in as he quickly turned around causing his sword to clash with the charging Kurgan's blade. A twisted grin came over the man's face as he took a step back to recompose his stance, the Turian's sword went back for a thrust but the giant counter acted with a deadly swing.

Garrus dodged to the left and came at the Kurgan with his sword, much like before his foe grabbed on to the blade and kicked him into the ground. This time the Turian managed to roll back to his face and charge back at the human, going under his foe's arm Garrus got a slash in on his opponent. As he was about to turn for another swing, he giant's let hand fell on his arm and his sword going through his back.

"Pathetic." the Kurgan hissed letting Garrus fall forwards

"…" Garrus mumbled

The Kurgan raised an eyebrow and walked towards his foe, placing his left foot on the Turian's injured back, before looking down at his falled for waiting for him to repeat.

"He…told me about this…" Garrus said, now finally audible

"About what?"

"You drop your guard, when you victory is within your reach!" Garrus shouted back, ramming his sword into the giants right thigh

The Kurgan let out a muffled roar, staggering back with his hand on his bleeding leg, Garrus jumped back to his feet. Taking advantage of his opening the Turian swarmed the Kurgan with several wild and deadly slashes, so much so he began to push the giant back. Some of his blows even made some contact with the manic, but still it didn't seem to be enough to take him down, that was till he hit him in the left shoulder.

"This…I like this…" the Kurgan said, with what seemed to be a somewhat distorted voice

His left hand went to Garrus's blade, once again getting a hold of it, his gaze slowly went up from it to its owner, at that moment Garrus noticed something, the Kurgan's eyes were black. The image alone was enough to send a chill down his back and for a moment his let his stance weaken, that was all that his foe needed to land a devastating upwards blow across his chest sending Garrus flying several feet.

"You talk big kid. But you lack the strength for a true fight." the giant hissed, taking heavy steps towards Garrus

Then the elevator doors opened, from inside came a very displeased Grunt, he let out several groans as he didn't understand the source of the noise that was disturbing his sleep. Finally taking the time to take in the scene, he saw a fallen Garrus but his attention mostly went to the sword wielding titan standing over his fallen comrade. The Krogan's arrival didn't go unnoticed by the Kurgan, ramming his sword into his fallen foe's gut effectively pinning him into the ground. The immortal stepped over the Turian and began to creepily walk towards a more than ready Grunt.

"That's right. Come and get a real fight." Grunt roared, the Kurgan simply waved him over

Letting out a defiant and dominant roar the Krogan charged head first into his new opponent, what he didn't seem to notice was that the human didn't even try to get away. The Kurgan placed his right foot behind him, his eyes were still all black as he clenched his fist before lifting his hands. Grunt let out a confident grunt as he was about to run him over, finally they made contact, right away he was dumbfounded by the result, the Kurgan didn't move more actuarially he had stopped him with his bare hands. Still he tried to walk forward, but he found himself unable to do so, this human had just done what many Krogan had difficulty doing.

"Is that all?" the Kurgan chuckled

"You wish!" Grunt replied, now going for a punch

His hand was easily dodged by his opponent, who took a step to the right and replied with a quick and precise jab to his throat, causing Grunt to stagger back. The Kurgan went for a left hand, but his hand was caught mid-air by the Krogan, the human went for the right which also got caught. Pulling his foe in Grunt delivered him a headbutt, breaking the immortal's nose in the process, letting out a stunned grunt. Following the blow with a sarcastic hiss, Grunt placed his hand around the human's neck and began to deliver several punches, the last one sending the Kurgan into the ground.

"Not so though are you, Pyjack?" Grunt cackled walking towards his victim

"Get away!" Garrus pleaded, still laying on the ground with the Kurgan's sword in his gut

"Don't worry yourself Garrus. I'll be there in a minute…" Grunt mumbled back, leaning down to lift the Kurgan back to his feet

Both his hands wrapped around the human's neck and began to squeeze it tighter and tighter, as the finally placed the Kurgan on his knees. As the pressure began to rise, the human instead of making the characteristic choking noises simply began to laugh, his hands went up to Grunt's wrists as he slowly pried the hands away from himself. Getting back up he was once again face-to-face with the Krogan, this changed when the Kurgan gave him a kick to the gut making Grunt bend over.

"And now it ends…" his foe announced ripping his sword from Garrus's body

At that moment, another noise echoed through the Hangar, the elevator doors were opening once again, slashing the Krogan across the chest, just enough to take him down, the Kurgan directed his attention to the new arrivals. The first two to come out were a couple in Cerberus clothing, following them came the unmistakable commander Shepard and finally a Quarian and the Justicar.

"I was wondering why I had yet to hear an alarm. I take that you wanted to avoid panic." the Kurgan pointed out, directing his words to Shepard

"You guessed it correctly. There is no reason to shed any more blood over this. If you leave quietly." Shepard replied, his tone sounded surprisingly honest

"Shepard, I can handle this…" Garrus mumbled, forcing himself back up

"I'm about done with his, Pyjack." Grunt snarled getting back up

"Stop, both of you. I want you to walk back and join us at the elevator." Shepard ordered, in a stern tone

Grunt simply sighed and gave up, Garrus on the other hand still stood behind the Kurgan with his sword in hand for a few moments, till he finally decided to walk away and follow his Commander's orders.

"Nice little doggy aren't you, Vakarian?" the giant joked

"This isn't over." Garrus spat back

"I'm counting on it." a small paused followed, till he finally spoke again

"What now…Commander?" the immortal let his words slowly escape his lips, specially Shepard's position as if it was a joke

"You leave my ship, quietly." his voice was stern, trying his best to intimidate the immortal

"From what I understood, we have already taken off…" Shepard was quick to interrupt

"We're still flying around Omega, we've been since you made your presence known. And from what I know, you could take a fall like that." the words mixed with the serious tone they had been delivered just made the Kurgan start laughing

It was almost a howl, that mixed with his now somewhat distorted voice and black eyes, caused chills to go down the spines of some of those present, even if Shepard didn't want to admit it.

"An ultimatum? Empty words at best…" he replied, but Shepard decided to unwisely interrupt

"They are much more than empty. I…" the Kurgan spoke over him now, robbing whatever power he seemed to have on the situation in the process

"You have no way of taking me off this ship. Or have any way to take me out. You are not in control here Commander, you never were. They are still alive because I wanted to. It has been far too long since I've been in a decent fight. But since you came and interrupted me, I'll just have to crash this ship in order to entertain myself." the Kurgan sighed, placing his broadsword over his shoulder with his eyes and voice going back to normal

"Like we would let you!" Miranda roared back defiantly, taking aim at the giant

"Don't worry. I won't let a pretty little thing like you, get away." his voice and smirk, were horribly disturbing

As he began to take slow steps towards the armed squadron, his omni-tool signaled an incoming call at first, he ignored it but after a while it became impossible to look over so he picked up. Lifting his left arm up to his chest and it someone a hologram of a Batarian, from the other side they could already listen to the sounds of screaming and gunfire.

"What do you want, Bray?"

"What do I want!? Where are you!?" the Batarian shouted back

"Watch your tongue." the Kurgan, hissed back somewhat calming down Bray

"We…Omega is under attack." the statement caught the attention of Shepard and his crew

"What do you mean?" the immortal asked, somewhat intrigued

"The Blood Pack, attacked us. Both sides have taken heavy losses, but they had the surprise advantage. And…we lost Afterlife…" it visibly pained him to say such a thing

"Aria can take care of herself. I have no reason to get involved." the Kurgan boringly replied, ready to end the call

"There is something else. The two Krogan that were currently leading the Blood Pack, their heads are now decorating the entrance to the building. We also have information that, that magician is now the one in charge…" the Kurgan didn't listen to anything else, if Kane was there he had all the reasons to go and settle their score

"I'll be right over there." with this he ended the call

"Seems like this is your lucky day. I only ask if you could open the door for me to leave." saying these strange words, the Kurgan walked deeper into the Hangar

"He can't mean…" Jacob mumbled

"He means it." Garrus remarked

"Joker…Open the Hangar doors."

Slowly the massive door moved down, letting a gust of wind fill the room as the Kurgan marched towards the edge, already he could smell the familiar stench of burnt flesh and death. Looking back one more time, he gave the crew a nod before he simply jumped off, letting them go back to their mission.
