/"If you don't believe our words, then we'll just have to show you the truth," Batman stated. What followed was an hour long lecture, covering human history, the geographic and political situation across the galaxy, technological advancements, chronological accounts and whatever else they could come up with. And with each new piece of information, Keled's spirits were slowly crushed and grinded to dust. He tried to vehemently deny it, but the amount of proof stacked against him was simply too much. This was not his time, this was not his world, this was not his home./

? This is complete nonsense. Nothing that a resident of the beginning of 2M can tell will tell a resident of 41M anything, even if it is a professional historian with the highest tolerances who specializes in the most ancient history of Holy Terra.
Actually, even the names of the continents are known in a distorted form.

Recognizance, rescue missions, demolitions, assassination there are many aspects of war

"In this war, Earth will drown in blood and bodies. Lets have the enemy do it instead of us."
A common saying among Ant-chaos Fighters in the incursion.

Hmmm, they're quite up to snuff. But Krieg will make guardsmen out of his militia yet. Time and experience will be their best teachers. And of course, one very scary Korpsman. Deathstroke adding himself to mix only makes things more interesting. I kinda hope they end up working together on a more permanent basis. Krieg is going to need all the allies he can get.

Really dark stuff! One or two grammatical errors, but it's good so far.

Out of curiosity, is it possible for an agent of Chaos to redeem themselves, or are they forever lost? The reason why I ask is because I can't help wanting Mia and Katana to do so and escape from Azkillon's influence, the latter especially since she is one of my favorite characters.

Also, do you intend on pairing Krieg with anyone?

Good story, but the Justice league is nerfed

An amazing chapter to liven up my quarantine life. I do like seeing how Krieg has to deal with now not only leading a small army, but also even more issues rising up with his ideology and logic. He came to ensure criminals would not even dare rise, but he had to work with the xeno and mutant. Now he has to compromise with working with the criminal as well, all while internally needing to justify it to the emperor. An absolute great chapter.

Very well done Change, right at the end there with "The clock Stands two mintues to midnight." really loved that reference to the doomsday clock, its a shame no one else seemed to notice that really important detail, or i didn't find it in the reviews, anyway, Hats off to you mate, in my book your are one of the Best of the best.

Hi there! Found this fantastic crossover tale yesterday. Actually, I lie. I found it some time ago, then followed it and didn't read more, because I was busy at the time. Got your recent update on email, decided to check the fic out, and oh boy is it good. All is very good.

Warning: Following review is probably huge, but inadequate to deal with such epicness.

Wish I knew how to video edit, because the idea of Krieg in the intro to Young Justice S01 is deeply funny to me. All those Colorful heroes looking heroic and whatnot, and then comes this grim Jin-Roh looking MFer shooting guns while looked like he marched straight out of Wolfestein.

For starters, you are a very good writer. Love the way you describe fights, Krieg's rather amusing mannerisms, his often ignorant perspective on normal life and such.

I find it rather interesting how you are treating Keled's psyche. He is this super conditioned unthinking drone of a soldier of the grimdark future, one which was thrown in the very reverse of his world.

His Krieg conditioning is obviously breaking down at acelerating rate. He has had to think for himself, and deal with a lot of things beyond his previous worldviews. Like Good Aliens, Good Mutants and even Good Sorcerers. Those things should be paradoxes, but here, they are not.

I find it very interesting how he is pragmatically willing to help the League, because in this place, they are all humanity has. He doesn't believe in their ideals, but he threw down with them because they are the ones making the difference.

When he reverted, we saw how more of a rounded-up warrior he had become. Krieg seems to yearn back to his unthinking drone time, but I wonder how until he realizes he can't go home.

Keled's emotions breaking through the conditioning are very interesting. He is obviously losing his emotional conditioning, getting emotional at times. I wonder - what happens when it breaks beyond recovery? Will Krieg break, too?

Oh boy, that Rose Wilson. Will she ever take the hint Krieg is not interested? She loves the foreplay, but has no idea that its not foreplay. Then again, his conditioning is breaking down in that regard, too. All those teenage hormones hiding behind steel conditioning, ready to burst. Hormonal Krieg is going to be most amusing. Cute couple tho. Keled dealing with love and romance will be hilarious.

I feel Keled actually respects the team, he is just hiding behind a ton of "Hate the Mutant The Alien blablabla" conditioning. He obviously has self-worth problems from that. I wonder how a, let's say... Revised belief system would be.

I wonder if the difference between WH40K magic and DC Magic, is that in DC, there are more sources of magic, ones which don't just feed on Chaos. Chaos Magic is plenty strong in DC tho, Scarlet Witch herself said there was a lot of chaos magic there, more than in Marvel.

I suspect some methods could break the hold of Chaos's control over people. Maybe Order Magic like the Helmet of Fate, strong telepaths, Lasso of Truth... Def the Anti-Life could, its the very opposite of Chaos. Well, that last one is a great trade. It frees you from dying for Chaos so you could die... DIE FOR DARKSEID! Great improvement!

(I'm genuinely not sure which one is worse. At least with Chaos you can have 'fun'?)

(Hmm... I wonder if the Mark of Metron could do it. It can free from anti-life)

Talking about Anti-Life... I suspect Darkseid is watching all of this while fuming or plotting. Oh he's not happy about this, not at all. Darkseid wants the Anti-Life Equation and he wants his metas, and both come from Earth. We saw this when he helped Savage fight the Starro attack in S03. Darkseid is Order and Tyranny, to see Chaos and Anarchy trying to move on his turf... Yeah, not happening. Then again... Chaos might drive people further towards tyranny, towards order... Towards Darkseid. Who has never been above stirring chaos to implement his Order.

I'm surprised you went Tarantino on the canon plot so early, I thought you would slot the Chaos Invasion in the five year Time Skip between S01 and 02.

I quite like Azkallon, very clever and smooth, his master not so much. Feels like they're jumping the gun and Az knows it. I suspect someone is getting Sindri'ed in the future.

Poor Mia, can't help but pity her. And Katana is obviously getting betrayed, poor Tatsuo.

So, what Chaos God is Joker gonna take? Joker being Joker, I think our bad guys are going to regret bringing Joker onside, very fast. Joker is a notorious, quote, "Team-Killing Ftard". And there's a Chaos God for that... Joker, meet Malal/Malice. There's no other Chaos God appropriate, no one more chaotic and anarchic.

By the way... What you did with Klarion, very interesting. It does put that monster made out of meta children in a different light. I wonder if he is different from other daemons, because he is clearly stabler, less interesting in the rampant horror of normal Chaos, able to remain in realspace with ease and not under control of the Four.

Hell yeah, the Word Bearers are here.

We gonna get Reach Invasion? Seeing the Reach parading around would surely bring Keled's Xenophobia back to the core. Then he would realize he is also fighting alongside xenos against other xenos, to defend Earth and humans.

The League seems to be slowly but surely taking off gloves. Superman is clearly ignorant of the true threat. Still, that can't last forever.

I do feel Krieg explained Chaos very badly to the League. Makes sense because he doens't actually know much, other than that they are bad, they have sorcery, daemons, depravities, the works. He can't exactly tell them "Chaos is like a metaphysical radiation/virus/magical meme that corrupts everything and everyone into mockeries of themselves, coming from another reality that makes no sense."

What happens when all these highly-moral and restrained heroes take off the kid gloves? At the least, I can see "Do not kill" being amended with "Chaos worshippers are fair game." At worst... Injustice or Red Sun tier "Heroes going tyrannic." I do hope our heroes manage to cope without throwing all their morality away. Sure, they should get rougher around the edges by necessity, but a true DC victory would not be by throwing down all their morals, I feel.

As for the Light... Well, I suspect they know the nature of Chaos far better than the League. Lex will probably brief Supes soon.

Funny to think that in YJ, Vandal Savage is the closest thing they got to the Emperor of Mankind. Complete with superpowered sons who keep betraying him.

I do have some criticisms:

1. English Low Gothic. Yeah... No. It would be like saying English and Portuguese are both just Indo-Aryan. Low Gothic sounding like English and High Gothic sounding like Latin is just a translation convention. I think it would have made more sense if Keled's helmet had a in-built translator. The Imperium is vast, and probably has as many languages and dialects as it has worlds. Heck, something like English could be just another language there.

Seeing Krieg speak Low Gothic would have made the League more suspicious. Someone capable of speaking multiple languages, like Superman, would have realized Low Gothic clearly has influences from plenty of languages.

2. Captain Atom. I'm kind of a Captain Atom buff so I feel he was completely misrepresented here and I fear you just don't know the character. AFAIK there's no version of Cap Atom that was just a suit of metal for radioactive power. He could touch and feel, because he was flesh underneath all that Dilusteel and can change back to normal at any time. In fact, his power is not even radioactive, his powers are actually quantum-based (I blame Mark Waid for that one. We all love Kingdom Come, but Cap Atom is treated like a nuke). I feel like his corruption would have been more interesting if you knew more about him.

Btw, you should totally read his 80s-90s series. Fantastic superhero desconstruction then reconstruction. Its a Cult Classic. Funfact: One of the writers is Greg Weisman. Bet he likes the character, which is why he is in the show.

If you decide to... Wade Eiling wears combat boots. Don't ask don't google don't spoil, you will get it if you read it.

3. Miss Martian Vulnerable to bullets? Bit weird seeing her being hurt by Krieg's mere bullets and knives, thought she was strong enough in the show to require a bit more power. Then agsin, my memory sucks.

4. Superman sucks at fighting crowds. Supes can easily control a crowd by simply using his speed to direct and shut down their air flown.

All in all... What a ride! And I just got my seat! Let's go!

Okay, on the one hand this chapter was great...

On the other hand, where are the pantheons of Earth? The Red? The Green? The Silver City and it's legions of Angels? Hell, what about the local demons? Isn't Lucifer on Earth in DC?

This story is nice and all, but the higher powers of DC should really start to get involved in this mess already. The sheer lack of any local supernatual beings doing anything is breaking my SOD HARD.

I mean, even rome got burned to the ground. Where are the romans gods? The Angels? Etc.

This story is nice... but I can't help but feel like it is conveniently forgetting the majority of the DC universe for the sake of forcing humanity to do all the work in saving reality.

Thought you would have put in a reference to Australia. A place like Sydney or Melbourne. Or somewhere else like Brisbane, Newcastle or Perth.
5/13 c40 UnknownGIND
Where the hell is another Beings and Deities in that world?
Did this mean people in DC Universe really need someone like The Emperor(Anathema) to guide them because from what I see in this fic, people is very easy to become Chaos worshippers and will you make Legion of the Damned travelled from The Warp to arrived in this Earth and begin the purging?
