I loved the description of Damon, Hephaistion's assistant lying like a lizard in the sun on the rock. Poor Hephaiation, he seems so overwhelmed. I think he needs more than a day off.

Oh my dear this is a great story, and I enjoy it more than I could tell.
I love the picture that an excited Alexander is talking unstoppably like a wound-up clock, but Phai still found a way to shut him up successfully.
I love this story. I am glad you are writing two terrific stories in quick succession, and I hope the third is one the way.

Alexander is really outdoing himself! He is doing more damage than I thought possible. Congratulation Alexander! LOL!
BTW, if I were Phai I would certainly let Crateru suffer a little longer. I don't like that guy at all. Our Phai is simply too noble to do that.

Oh my dear!
It looks like Alexander is doing a terrific job taking over Phai's work for a day! He is driving everyone mad! I have to admit I expect something spectacular like that from the Great King!

Oh my dear I love this!
Poor Phai...working himself into the ground...and he obviously was born to the wrong era...if only he knows that George Bush had the famous motto 24-7, that he works 24 hours a week, 7 months a year. And if the president of the most powerful country can work such a leisure schedule, there is no reason for Phai to follow the terrific example.
Alexander is very kind to give Phai a day off...I would love to see what happens next!
