Hey there,
So I meant to have a review waiting for you when you woke up Christmas morning. Alas, that [obviously] didn't happy.
But it was yet another wonderful installment. I really like the 'fix-it' story, as you described it. One of my big concerns with where season 3 is heading is that Scott refuses to acknowledge Derek as 'his' alpha which means eventually there is going to be conflict. And poor Derek really needs to be allowed to be an alpha with the respect of his pack. Poor guy. Anywho...
I like how Erica was eased into everything. I'm curious about any romantic inklings with her. I like her with Boyd (though, I really think in the show they were shown as good friends, not necessarily romantically involved despite the hand holding), but I also want Stiles to get his happily ever after and I'm not sure that's Lydia. I LOVE that you had everyone say something to her about her power trip, because I think she could be a cool character, but she did get a little full of herself (on the show).
I like the dynamics of your grouping. I like that Lydia is still a take-charge gal. I like Jackson's uncertainty in his place because... I think that's pretty true to form.
I have two things I'm looking forward to explanations on. You made a comment (well, Derek made a comment) - "Jackson, are you with me or Lydia? I don't want any of you alone tonight – there's no telling how Erica will affect the pack bond." That is interesting to me.
Also, there was the training session between Derek and Stiles where something happened and unless I forgot or missed it (which I do do on occasion when I get caught up in a story) I can't wait to find out what happened.
I'm also waiting for Boyd to finally get the bite. Of course, since you're going AU, he doesn't really have to. Which would be kind of ... funny (not ha ha)... because if you paired him with Erica, then each werewolf that has a pairing would be paired with a human. Just an observation. But anyway. I have no idea where you're going. And I think I've stumbled into rambling territory here. :D
Just wanted to say, I'm enjoying your 'verse and I look forward to reading more.
