It's good to see another story that treats Bagoas well. I have always been of a mind that if Hephaestion had not approved of Bagoas, then Alexander would not have kept him in his personal service let alone as his eromenos.
Alexander went so far as to appoint Bagoas as a trierarch - one of the men who oversaw and funded the construction of the navy that took a portion of his army home after their campaign in India. I doubt such a military & political genius as Alexander would have bestowed such a title on someone unable to take on such leadership and administrative duties. Plutarch, along with other ancient writers, claimed that Bagoas was also well-liked by the army. It doesn't make much sense for Bagoas to have gained that type of popularity if he was nothing more than a "Persian whore" as many other authors on this site seem to think.

What a beautiful and meaningful ending! Even though they created a story of their own, they had a hort kife, luckily they have eternity to spend together!

You do a much better job of telling of Patroklos' death than in that movie Troy. I really like the way you weave the story within the story. It's really good. I'm waiting anxiously for what will come next. Hopefully a little something, ah, well...
