I was just thinking. Alexander, did not only love Hephaestion but depended on him greatly. Most because they both had an adventures spirit, respect and trust. When, he lost that in Hephaestions death, am sure Alexander felt who could he truly depend on. Who was left that believed in his dream. Alexander, could of died of a broken heart.

Nothing like history repeating. Just when Philip is realizing that he can be a better father, he is killed. Alex has had a tough road, now it will get harder for him. I hope Phai can be his shoulder and strength. Also, poor Hephaistion in the previous chapter, he really needs his Alexander to feel something close to whole again. I totally am with PhaiFan: hate Cassander!
I am pleased to see pretty regular updates. This is an intense, and complex story, well done, too.
