I absolutely adore this story and it is a true shame that it will most likely never continue. Alex and Jane's interactions were one of the best highlights from this fic, as well as the mystery of Alex's shoulder injury. And I can't forget Alex and Charles and their friendship. I truly hope this makes a triumphant return.

Enjoyed reading these stories. I've always liked the multi-verse with a million different possible endings that can be good for the entire group or it will be a pathway that Tomino would probably take.

This is a pretty awsome story.

It very long and well written.

Questions

Will Jane and Alex get closer to one another? Will Jane date Tom before going out with Alex?

What caused Alex those Scars and Injuries from 'Buxton Ridge Military Academy'?

Does Alex specialize in only Music? Does he also have some other talents?

Will you have Alex Kick the Crap out of Tommy Sherman in this story if he does something to Daria and Jane?

I know you already have chapter coming up. When? I don't know, but I can't wait to read more.

You are close to 100,000 words.

Keep up the good work and I can't wait to read the next chapter that will come up.

I normally don't read fanfiction with new characters introduced, but this is the bomb! I started reading it and when Alex was introduced it was done smoothly and I love reading direct quotes from the show. Please update frequently! I've been really missing this show.

Nice to see you continuing, had to reread from the beginning to get back in. Well worth it. Nicely balanced mix of old and new. Hope to see more soon, but quality takes as long as it takes.

This is truly awesome. Easily matching the original material. I hope you keep it up.

I've got to say, this is surprisingly good. I mean it, the idea of adding a family member is a cliche for Daria fanfics, but you manage to make it work. Some of the jokes you add are golden, the mystery over Alex's injuries hangs over the story just subtly without bogging down the plot, and the adjustments to the character interaction are realistic for the scenario.

In addition, I love the bad movie choices. Plan 9 is comic gold! If you want a truly bad film, though, I suggest Mans: The Hand of Fate. If you ever see it though, watch the Mystery Science Theater 30 showing of it. It's the only way to make the film even moderately tolerable, and even they have a hard time of it, if you can believe that.

Anyway, good luck with the story! I'm eager to see where things progress, and I'm already contemplating what might happen should you reach "Jane's Addition." Happy writing!

People like to speculate on where Lawndale was supposed to be.

This episode is a big clue.

The Mall of the Millenium is "Second or Third biggest in the World", and has a roller coaster in the enclosure.

The real life Mall of America, based in Minneapolis/St. Paul directly across the interstate from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, is the largest mall in America in terms of enclosed floorspace and second largest in the nation in terms of actual retail stores. The center space has an amusement park, formerly named Camp Snoopy and themed in honor of the late Charles Schultz's masterwork Peanuts.

The Mall of the Millenium was reached by way of a tram and public bussing (both od which got Daria sick), whereas the actual Mall of America is on light rail through the Twin Cities as well as on their metro bussing service.

It's very possible to place *Daria* and Lawndale in Minnesota, particularly as it is a fair distance from Texas (and Beavis & Butthead), this being a good thing for the sanity (such as it is) of the Morgendorffers.
