Great story! Loved the way you wrote Snape’s feelings and his inner conflict. Poor man ... but that’s much better still than him being evil, that would shatter my entire Potterverse. There might be several reasons why Dumbledore asks, for one he doesn’t want Snape to die because of the Vow he took, he might want to strengthen Snape’s position among the Death Eaters and to protect Draco, probably his dying for Harry somehow will help Harry defeat Voldemort in the end, etc. Maybe he was dying from the potion anyway. Now that Harry knew about the Horcruxes, he might have thought himself expandable, in contrast to Snape. Guess we’ll have to wait another couple of years to get an answer, too bad ...

I agree that Snape is probably as capable as Dumbledore in guiding Harry through with his quest. His magical abilities greatly surprised me, so much so that I believe him to be the Dumbledore equivellent of the marauders generation when it comes to magic. However I think that Lupin might be closer to Dumbledore's level of trust and forgivingness.

This was very well written. You captured both characters very well. It's nice to see so many people out here who agree with me: Snape killed Dumbledore on Dumbledore's orders. I'm kind of of the mindset that it was necessary in order to prevent Malfoy becoming a killer, and to save Snape from suffering the repercussions of a failed Unbreakable Vow, but also because Dumbledore deemed it necessary to convince Voldemort that Snape is really a bad guy, to get him as close to Voldemort as possible. I really think that Snape is going to be instrumental in bringing Voldemort down in Book 7. He's got to be redeemed.
(Yes, there was a lot of screaming and gnashing of teeth in my bedroom while I read the last 60 pages of HBP. I'm not going to make it another 2 years to book 7.) Again, great job on this story.

I don't hate Snape no one should. Dumbledore put him in a spot that was a loose loose situation. Now Snpae is forced to go back to Voldermort whom he hates and try to survive and hope it all comes out well in the end. I pity and feel sorry for him.

I think you might be right about Snape not being evil, and I think maybe Dumbledore did talk Snape into killing him, I also think maybe Dumbledore was already dying because of his hand.just a theory I've been dying to share with someone... hehe

I liked that i think you are correct in what you wrote i expect Snape to be good
only problem is i expect him to die saving Harry as i think his worse fear is becoming a Werewolf

Although Sirius coming back - have you read the mos recent interview on Harry really has no need for him now... he must do it alone... although (it was hinted) they are going back to that room... gawd, confusing! What makes you think it?
