I love this because it is a fantastic AU story that shows a realistic example of Louisa and her feelings changing and in the end maturing, without her being the one to have the accident. Thanks for posting this wonderful story!

Hello there!
There are two things that I liked immensely from your story. One, the "what if" that actually happened here. Anne the one falling from the stairs creating an immediate release of emotions on the captain's part. Second, Louisa's POV. In the book, she was characterized as someone who is young woman trying to capture the interest of a captain, you know, the usual girl character. In her, we've seen layers after layers of personality and character and I just loved it. Louisa is more... human than ever, and Frederick is also human but was still willing to do the honorable thing. He's an ass (understandable because he was still bitter), but aren't we all asses at some point or another?
And Anne. I loved your Anne just because of one line she said to Louisa, "Is that what you want to do, Louisa?" that's the Anne Elliot I've always loved and admired from the original Persuasion and you managed to capture her perfectly with that one line and I applaud you for that.
To be honest, I've read this a long time ago and I've only dropped a review now. Better late than never, I guess. Anyway, wonderful story.

Very surprising POV. I've not expected it at all.
Very well written and an interesting and well captured window into Louisas character. I've never thought much about her, but this could be her indeed

this is brilliant! i was a little apprehensive at first when i saw that it was Louisa that narrated it, but the way you wrote her personal struggle and growth was brilliant and great and there are more words to say how great this was but they fail me now. you go girl!

An absolutely and utterly brilliantly written story! I love this so much and the fact that it has been written from Louisa's perspective was a fantastic idea. The entire story showed off each character to the fullest, even though Anne was in the storyline but not an active participant you managed to show her lovely character to the full whilst showing also to the reader the broad spectrum of emotions felt by Louisa ranging from happy feelings to confusion, to anger, to betrayed emotions, to a broken heart, feeling revenge, selfishness, jealousy and eventually to a more moralistic person full of almost remorse and affection. Louise has learned a lot in this story which I feel has gone some way to making her a better person and improving her maturity. Your Capt Wentworth is full of pain and remorse as in Ms Austens version also and this story also shows the emotions felt throughout. Well done and thank you for sharing your work.
